1.) Fleet Supervisor and Storekeeper

Job Title: Fleet Supervisor and Storekeeper

Summary

  • The Key Purpose of this role is to primarily responsible for managing logistics fleet (Trucks, Forklifts, Sweepers) to ensure satisfactory product delivery to customers and managing the receipt, storage and inventory control of logistics spare parts to the prescribed standard.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Legislation and Company Requirement:

  • Oversee /manage compliance to fleet-related legislation within the responsible brewery/depot operations, in accordance with the Road Traffic Act (RTA).
  • Conduct daily stringent inspections of the brewery/depot fleet for compliance against legal and company requirements.
  • Maintain and archive records and documentation as per company and legal requirements including maintenance job cards, licensing history, and pre-trip inspections.
  • Adherence to and maintenance of site housekeeping standards.
  • Full implementation and adherence to DPO/VPO pillars and protocols and incorporation of safety guidelines in all fleet SOP’s.
  • Use problem solving tools such as 5Why, Abnormality Reports, SIC, OPL’s, RACI’s, OWD’s, PDCA’s etc. to develop action plans to show improvement in PI’s and KPI's.
  • Ensure adherence to best practice generation process and execute approved projects and show results evolution.
  • To ensure that company and legal stacking regulations are adhered to.

Fleet Safety, Health and Environmental Compliance:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with brewery/depot management and fleet suppliers on fleet SHE issues to ensure their resolution and future non-occurrence.
  • Weekly pre-trip and pre-trip process inspections as well as tracking and resolution management of defects recorded on pre-trip.

Master Data:

  • Continuously provide current and accurate depot fleet data and information for capture in various systems and reports.
  • Conduct fleet audits bi-annually with the Fleet and Safety Team leader to verify correct use of fleet administrative processes and activation mechanisms and assist in ensuring accuracy of Fleet Master Data.

Cost Management:

  • Develop and implement necessary plans to improve performance based on the analysis of the Fleet Manager’s monthly financial report
  • Explore cost control opportunities to reduce spend i.e. innovations and price negotiations.

Reporting:

  • Submit monthly KPI data as per requirement  .
  • Assist with data requests from internal and or external customers

People Management:

  • Ensure that the Shop Floor are aligned in terms of goals and meeting routines to drive continuous improvement;
  • Cascade KPI’s and PI’s to individual fleet employees, standardize the KPI/PI achievements and monitor individual results
  • Ensures that Monthly One on Ones are conducted in line with the target review process;
  • Recruitment of talent and building of pipeline.

Warehouse/Store Supervision:

  • Cascade all global policies and ensure compliance to them
  • Continuously validate SOP’s through management routines by using tools and ensure understanding by all warehouse employees (LnA, SCL, OWD etc.)
  • Ensure and maintain a safe store operation driving awareness and compliance to all the relevant safety blocks.  Track compliance to all safety related processes in the store.
  • Ensure adherence to store layout
  • Ensure and track ABC compliance to realize warehouse efficiencies.

Loading and Unloading Activities:

  • Loading instructions are used to load correct quantities of fleet spares
  • GRN all incoming shipments within 24 hours
  • Invoices should be used to receive correct quantities and GRN done based on quantity received.

Stock Quality Management:

  • Ensure adherence to stock age standards by means of applying stock rotation principles.

Inventory Management:

  • Accurate daily stock counts, duly signed off with all variances flagged per Inventory Control Policy
  • Accurate weekly stock counts, duly signed off with all variances flagged per Inventory Control Policy
  • Accurate monthly stock counts, duly signed off with all variances flagged per Inventory Control Policy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Min. of B.Sc./ HND in a related field.
  • 2 Years experience in Fleet/store Operations
  • People Management experience an advantage.

2.) Fleet and Safety Team Leader

  • The Key Purpose of this position is to provide on the “ground, technical and operational” overseeing and professional safety/fleet management service thereby ensuring that the Company operates in a lawful and ethical manner, abides to the Occupational Health and Safety, (OHS) Act, Road Transport Act, Governance Codes (Combined Code)of practice pertaining to Safety and Fleet Management (Including ABInBev Safety Policy and Standards) and Corporate Governance and ensures protection of stakeholder interests through the mitigation at source of loss  and safety risk, pure and speculative across the broad spectrum of the ABInBev  operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct shop-floor ongoing coaching on OHS Act
  • To ensure compliance with the OHS Act of 93 and the Road Traffic Act
  • Accountable to providing sustainable fleet/safety support to the sites stationed at and remotely contracted to support including the sales/ commercial operations
  • The safety professional need to be available for emergencies. Business hazards are not contained within perimeter fencing but one has to devise smart plans to work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Conduct daily stringent inspections of the depot fleet for compliance against legal and company requirements
  • Report on daily fleet availability (Trucks, Trailers, FLT’s and MFLT’s) daily
  • Maintain and archive records and documentation as per SAB and legal requirements including maintenance job cards, licensing history, and pre-trip inspections
  • To manage internal self-audits. Analyse findings and monitor implementation of corrective action
  • Implement and sustain the DPO Fleet and Safety Pillars through DPO Self Assessments and Zone DPO Audits
  • Attending Weekly DC Fleet Meeting providing insight on DC fleet and contractor performance aligned to the TOR
  • Asset verification in line with the BRN
  • Submit all new master data requisitions and changes to Regional Fleet Manager to be updated.
  • Understand vehicle-specific maintenance and service requirements for all vehicle categories (trucks, trailers, forklifts and warehouse cleaning equipment)
  • To empower operators and line managers to be able to provide an encompassing 21st century leadership to operations.
  • To develop and maintain site standards to minimize losses, ensure compliance to legal provisions (e.g. OHS Act, Environmental Act, COID Act) and limit legal liability exposures
  • To be accountable for the maintenance of the environmental programme and the execution of required internal and external audits
  • Ensure all workplace hazards are identified and communicated to all staff.
  • Ensure all new employees and contractors are inducted on the SHE programme
  • Ensure site procedures and work instructions are maintained, issued to staff and relevant staff training is conducted
  • Accountable to ensure that these safety risks are adequately addressed and to monitor audits/surveys/maintenance to ensure that fire and explosion risks are minimised
  • Manage the depot preventative and corrective maintenance plan and schedule and adhere stringently to schedules for all vehicle categories to ensure the fleet is continuously maintained and available
  • Continuous management of COF and licensing process
  • Obtain quotes form supplies on fleet maintenance and repairs
  • Support RFM in managing expenditure against the budget (VLC) with monthly latest estimate (LE) align to period phasing (DC)
  • Spare Part Management to ensure min / max levels adherence (Includes tyres)
  • Workshop Safety (5s and review maintenance SOP’s to ensure safe practices are followed )
  • Utilise CR360 to report non-conformances, incident and accidents.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant 3 year Tertiary Degree / Diploma
  • 2 – 3 years fleet functional work experience
  • Applicable Occupational Health and Safety Act, Nigerian Road Traffic Act and governance knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and knowledge of SAP
  • People management experience (an advantage).

4.) Packaging Manager

  • Ensure that the packaging team apply proper safety and housekeeping procedures, and adhere to all legal requirements when carrying out their tasks
  • Ensure implementation of the appropriate SAB and legislative policies (such as OSH act) on safety and housekeeping
  • Ensure that safety and housekeeping receive the appropriate focus through regular checks and safety audits
  • Where unsafe work practices have been identified, the packaging manager is responsible for correcting this

  • General production housekeeping

  • Ensure adherence to the VPO safety pillar in the packaging department with regular coaching and OWD’s done

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc Degree in Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Packaging Management with deep expertise in asset management
  • Experience of managing and running a high-speed packaging line would be highly advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing people
  • Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a packaging hall (financial, operational, people)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading VPO in a Brewery environment.
