Qualification
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc/B.A or M.Sc/M.A in Criminology, Forensic Psychology, Forensic Science, Cyber Security and Communications Art.
- Professional Certification as Certified Forensic Investigation Professional (CFIP), Certified Protection Officer (CPO) or Certified Security Professional (CSP), Certificate in Criminal Intelligence or Security Management, Certificate in Digital Forensics or Cybercrime Investigation.
- ICT & Technical Security Skill Proficiency in Surveillance Systems (CCTV), Security Information Management System (SIMS), Digital Evidence Management and Data Analytics for Crime Detection would be an added advantage.
General Instructions
- Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years, while Medical Doctors (consultants) could be between the ages of 25 and 40 years at the time of the application. The Exercise is not for serving personnel desiring Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 32 years of age are not to apply.
- Serving Personnel: A serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer/Commander and must have served for 10 years and attained the rank of Cpl.
- Height: Applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall for males and not less than 1.63m tall for females.
- Medical Fitness: Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
Local Government Area Attestation Form:
- Applicants’ Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed only by one of the following:
- Military Officer from the same State as the applicant and not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy.
- Officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner and above.
- Substantive Local Government Chairman/Secretary.
- Magistrates from Applicants’ state of origin.
- The Local Government Area Attestation Form must be accompanied by the passport photograph and photocopy of the signees’ Drivers Licence or National ID Card or International Passport.
Presentation of Original Credentials:
- Successful applicants are required to submit their original credentials for scrutiny during the Selection Interview. The credentials include the following:
- Two recent passport size photographs to be stamped and countersigned by officer of appropriate rank specified in above (Local Government Area Attestation Form)
- Original and photocopy of Birth certificate or Declaration of Age.
- Original and photocopy of Educational/Professional Certificates.
- Original and photocopy of Indigeneship certificate from applicant’s Local Government/State of Origin.
- Original and photocopy of Attestation to Good Character signed by Officer of appropriate rank as specified in above (Local Government Area Attestation Form).
- Applicants must be free of any previous convictions on criminal grounds by a court of law.
- Any applicant suspected to have impersonated or submitted false document(s) shall be disqualified from the Selection Exercise. Also, any false declaration detected later may lead to withdrawal from training. Such applicants will be handed over to the Nigeria Police for prosecution. The Nigerian Air Force will not entertain any enquiries in respect of applicants whose applications have been rejected.
