1.) Building Technologist

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Liaising with appropriate authorities (e.g. planning enquiries and building inspectors) when producing documentation for statutory approval;
  • Producing, analyzing and advising on detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used;
  • Contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures;
  • Meeting with other professionals and clients at an early stage to agree on the project brief;
  • Understanding how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues so that practical questions can be addressed at the outset;
  • Evaluating and advising on environmental, legal and regulatory issues;
  • Assessing what surveys (e.g. land surveys) are required before work can commence and ensuring such surveys are undertaken and their results fed into the project;
  • Obtaining feedback from clients and people using the building and reporting on the performance of the contractors once the construction project is completed;
  • Developing project briefs and working on these as the project progresses;
  • Appraising the performance of buildings which are in use and producing maintenance management information;
  • Advising clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking;
  • Managing the work of trainee technologists and contributing to the overall running of business;
  • Evaluating and advising on refurbishment, re-use, recycling and deconstruction.
  • Carrying out design-stage risk assessments;
  • Administering contracts and project certifications;
  • Preparing and presenting design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
  • Leading the detailed design process and coordinating design information.

Requirements

  • A degree in Architectural Technology, Architectural Engineering / Architecture, Building Services Engineering, Building / Construction, Built Environment Studies, Civil and Structural Engineering, Computer-aided Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • A strong interest in architecture, mathematics, drawing and design, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Art and design skills to complement technical know-how
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Competence in CAD software
  • An analytical mind with strong problem-solving ability

Job Description

  • Develops and ensure implementation of procurement strategies and contractual arrangements in conjunction with heads of departments to achieve required outcomes and deliver value for money.
  • Develops and monitors the implementation of procurement, purchasing and stores accounting policies and procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of business operations.
  • Facilitates and coordinates a competitive procurement tendering process to establish the most appropriate procurement arrangement, taking account of procurement policies and procedures within the company.
  • Creates, administer, and monitors the implementation, and updates company legal related policies and procedures designed to ensure that the organization and its employees comply with required laws and regulations.
  • Oversees the company legal process and compliance, legal matters pertaining to site acquisition, management of community issues, permits and permits approvals, contracts and Contractual agreements, and company secretarial duties.
  • Drafts and negotiates all legal contracts and verifies the drawing of contracts and other legal documents and ensures the safe custody of security documents.

Job Descriptions

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.
  • Strategic Responsibility - To submit sales strategy/policy, processes and procedure for key accounts mapping and growth.
  • To manage the implementation of all the relevant applicable SOP's. To ensure sales transactions are executed as per given prices and policies.
  • To identify key officials for each key account and strategy for intimacy planning implementation.
  • To monitor various projects progress, identify new project opportunities and share regular update with FRT/ART.

4.) Executive - Sales & Application

Functionally Reports to: Sales Manager
Administratively Reports to: General Manager
Type of Customers : Construction Companies / Civil Contractors / Architects / Specifiers / Manufacturing Companies / Government Departments dealing with Civil Engineering sectors etc.

Job Description

  • Grow sales for the product range assigned in defined geographical area, as per targets assigned.
  • To develop new customer base and build / increase sales volumes with existing customers.
  • To assist customer with technical specifications and make the techno-commercial offers for them as required to clinch orders for the company. Provide pre and post technical assistance.
  • To monitor & service customers site from time to time wherever required as a part of the after sales service.
  • To chart out / monitor competitors’ activities in conjunction with the immediate superior on a monthly basis, in order to arrive at a strategy from time to time

Responsibilities

  • Sales Reports - To prepare periodical reports that reflect the progress of sales volumes, increase in customer base, penetration into the various targeted customer segments. A Bi-weekly report is a must for reviews by the Sales managers / the Business Head.
  • Technical Report – Prepare Technical Offer, ability to work on Auto Cad, carry our on-field tests and also in the lab to validate the product and application.
  • Expenditure - Statements of expenditure incurred, shall be furnished weekly, for local conveyance, etc., as directed by the FRT and Business Head.
  • Tour Reports - Expense statements of reports, out of the base town / city where the candidate operates, must be furnished within 48 hours of his / her return from the sales tour, to the FRT, with all appropriate supporting for expenses made in the form of genuine bills / receipts, within the limits prescribed by the organisation. No paper written bills will be accepted. The Tour Report shall be furnished within 24 hours for any needed action to be taken in the interest of business and the customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Civil / Infrastructural Engineering. Additional knowledge about Epoxy/High End Floor coating and Waterproofing with application knowledge will be an added advantage; COREN certification will be preferred.
  • Background with Sales in Building Materials (Technical) is ideal for consideration.
  • Techno- Commercial oriented, well exposed to Sales and Application activity.
  • Ability to travel (mobility) whenever needed, will be a pre-requisite Nigeria or sometimes other countries West Africa, including Cameroun.
  • The Candidate may be transferred to a different town within Nigeria, or within West Africa, in accordance with the needs of the business.

  • To lead a team of zonal sales managers, territory managers and ensure consistent achievement of sales projections through planning, deployment and management of the sales team.

Job Description

  • Leadership of the entire contracts, logistics and procurement.
  • Tender process management involving pre-qualification, evaluation, negotiation and finalization of contracts.
  • Prepare and issue contracts and procurement orders,
  • Implement KPIs for supply chain personnel (contracts, procurement and logistics) to ensure process efficiency; progressive improvements; monitoring and addressing of non-conformance.
  • Ensure good coordination with finance such that the entire procurement to pay (P2P) process is fully and seamlessly implemented.

Qualifications

Job Summary

  • We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

  • We are looking for an experienced Business manager/Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
