1.) Senior Data Warehouse Architect

About the role

  • This key architecture role is responsible for translating sophisticated business requirements into valuable coordinated data models and maintaining a clean and optimized ELT code base.
  • The role will be tasked with working within a multi-functional team to support the development of an enterprise data warehouse.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, e.g. GCP Big Query, Azure Synapse, or AWS Redshift.
  • Mastery across all phases of data modeling, from conceptual designs to physical designs, with a deep understanding of different modeling methodologies, e.g. dimensional modeling.
  • Maintains a proven command of ANSI SQL. Python experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with dbt, including authoring sophisticated Jinja and advanced dbt functionality.
  • Understanding of modern data architecture and engineering concepts such as streaming, schema-on-read, and real-time data access.
  • Extensive experience in how to assess the performance of data solutions, how to diagnose performance problems, and tools used to supervise and tune performance.
  • Desire to work in a constantly evolving environment and maintain the ability to shift in new directions as business needs are altered.
  • Deep understanding of distributed version control systems, e.g. GitHub, and history of retaining ownership of the cleanliness of multiple repositories.

2.) Payroll Analyst, Talent Operations

 

Location: Remote

Position Description

  • As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for processing all aspects of Technologist Payroll.
  • As part of your role within Talent Operations, you will be working closely with different departments to increase performance efficiency and ensure smooth processing of payroll cycles and other payments.
  • You will be part of a small but mighty team of Operations Associates in charge of providing operational support to our Technologists.
  • Our mission is to ensure that all Technologists have the best experience during their journey with Andela.

Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll and other payments for all our Technologists;
  • Work with company database programs to process payroll and maintain personnel database regarding salaries, rate increases and bonuses;
  • Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues. Prepare reports to relevant departments and/or leadership about payroll and expenses;
  • Work directly with other departments to achieve organizational goals as required;
  • Assist with the analysis of business situations and later implementation around optimization;
  • Address and resolve inquiries from Technologists and other stakeholders relating to the payroll/payments.

Requirements

3.) Machine Learning Engineering Lead

About the Role

  • Andela’s two-sided marketplace is a multifaceted hub of experienced talent and leading companies with exciting challenges related to pricing, matching, marketplace health, go-to-market campaigns, and many others.
  • Data Science (DS) is a key weapon at Andela to attack these problems.
  • We employ a wide variety of approaches including but not limited to system dynamics and simulation, machine learning (ML) on both structured and unstructured data, recommendation algorithms, and combinatorial optimization.
  • The ML Engineering Lead at Andela will take primary ownership of deploying all ML and DS algorithms on Andela’s product marketplace.
  • You will be defining solution architecture and playing an active role in algorithm deployment with a razor-sharp focus on minimizing latency, managing computation resources effectively and guiding the execution of this model in collaboration with the Andela data, engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Principal Data Scientist, product managers and platform engineers to identify the right delivery approach for algorithms.
  • Develop ML Architecture for each solution to meet product and system performance requirements.

About the Role

  • As a Talent Operations Associate, you will analyze processes, identify operational improvements, and optimize business logistics for speed, quality, and scale within a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Executing manual operations tasks and liaising with business stakeholders to cover for operational deficiencies
  • Handle and resolve within SLA support tickets raised by internal and external stakeholders

6.) Product Analyst

  • As a Product Analyst at Andela, you’ll be encouraged to use your analytical expertise, product sense, and communication skills to drive a variety of high-impact projects. You will work directly with product teams to help launch features, measure adoption, and transform our marketplace. Outside product work, you’ll contribute to our broader analytics team and company data culture by sharing your lessons, partnering with others, and building new capabilities for how we can use data to guide decisions.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis to deliver business recommendations to Product and Executive collaborators, crafting visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Use data to understand trends in user behavior and product usage to influence strategy and find opportunities to increase long-term growth.
  • Partner with Product to help develop KPIs and goals for features, supervise performance against those KPIs and build and provide regular performance reports based on existing and new features.

7.) Accounting Associate

 

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Role

  • To ensure timely preparation of month-end schedules, complete and accurate recognition of expenses and filing of statutory returns.
  • You will report to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely posting of invoices and processing of payments to suppliers
  • Perform Bank postings and Bank reconciliations
  • Handle petty cash process in line with approved documentation
  • Ensure accuracy in ascertaining and timely payment of all statutory obligations and filing with relevant government authorities
