1.) Legal Counsel

Job Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)

Job Summary

  • Legal Support and general legal guidance concerning OPay’s products, services, and offerings across its diverse markets and verticals.
  • Provision of legal support for contracts – drafting, review, periodic litigation portfolio management.
  • Analyze, report & manage legal risks for business lines, including (but not limited to) core-tech and Fintech-related agreements.
  • Responsible for drafting, reviewing contracts, and related documents for new & ongoing business transactions.
  • Cross-collaboration with other departments
  • Provide legal support for e-commerce and digital marketing initiatives
  • Ensure onboarding and training of new business partners, and reinforce with existing business partners, to help drive value, discipline, and assist business partners' understanding of risk management and mitigation involved inthe contract negotiation process.
  • Develop expertise in relevant legal regimes, including data privacy laws, industry standards, and intellectual property, to facilitate regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Provide general legal advice in company legal affairs and disputes.
  • Manage external law firms and legal consulting.

Core Requirements

  • Minimum of LLB & LICENSE Certificate of Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL)
  • 4 - 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Multinational/law firm experience is desirable, though not mandatory.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Nigerian laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Depth and familiarity with the financial services industry, fintech regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent grasp of legal research, advisory, and analysis.
  • In-depth communication skills – drafting, review, negotiation.

Capability:

  • Excellent logic and comprehension, excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Great command of English (written, spoken).

2.) Customer Support Representative

Job Title: Customer Support Representative

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Customer Support Agent is responsible for the resolution of all inquiries, complaints, and requests received via OPay customer support telephone lines, establishing and managing customer relationships.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls from customers and provide a resolution to complaints, inquiries, and requests.
  • Document and report all call information according to standard operating procedure.
  • Escalate pending/ failed transactions and other non-First Time Resolution complaints to the Follow-up team.
  • Follow up with customer calls where necessary.
  • Report service failures and other product-related issues observed while taking customer calls to the call center management for further action.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND/BSC in Mass Communication or related field.
  • 1- 2 years of experience as a call center or customer service agent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Energetic, highly self-motivated, and able to work efficiently and productively.

Salary
N70,000 Gross +N30,000 Bonus, which improves after confirmation in 3 months, including a monthly transport stipend.

3.) User Growth Manager

Job Title: User Growth Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The User Growth Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to significantly expand OPay's user base in Nigeria.
  • This is an onsite role based in Lagos, requiring a hands-on approach to drive user acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • The ideal candidate will be data-driven, creative, and possess a strong understanding of the Nigerian market and user behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive user growth strategies to achieve ambitious user acquisition targets across various OPay product lines.
  • Optimize User Acquisition Channels: Identify, evaluate, and optimize user acquisition channels, including but not limited to:
    • Offline marketing and community engagement initiatives.
    • Partnerships and collaborations.
    • Referral programs.
    • Digital marketing campaigns (social media, search, etc.).
  • Drive User Activation and Onboarding: Develop and implement effective user onboarding flows and in-app experiences to maximize user activation and engagement.
  • Enhance User Retention: Create and execute strategies to improve user retention rates, reduce churn, and increase user lifetime value.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze user data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports on user growth metrics and present findings to management.
  • A/B Testing and Experimentation: Design and conduct A/B tests and experiments to optimize growth strategies and improve key metrics.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and user behavior in the Nigerian fintech landscape.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, operations, and other teams to align growth efforts and achieve company objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage and optimize the user growth budget to ensure efficient and effective spending.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a user growth, growth marketing, or related role, preferably within the fintech, e-commerce, or mobile app industry in Nigeria.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving user growth and achieving targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market, user behavior, and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and marketing analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

4.) Fulfilment Officer

Job Title: Fulfilment Officer

Location: Lagos
Reporting Line: Reports to the Logistics Manager

Job Summary

  • The Fulfilment Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and cost-effectivedelivery of OPay card orders to customers across Nigeria.
  • This role involves coordinatingend-to-end order processing, working closely with third-party logistics (3PL) partners andinternal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • The officer will ensure all fulfilment activities are aligned with business goals, service level agreements(SLAs), and company ethics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end order fulfilment, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effectivedelivery of OPay cards to customers nationwide.
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party logistics (3PL) partners to meet serviceexpectations and uphold OPay's standards.
  • Monitor daily fulfilment operations, identifying process gaps and proposingimprovements based on data insights.
  • Handle returned orders efficiently and ensure re-fulfillment is completed promptly tomaintain service quality.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align fulfilment operations withbroader logistics and business goals.
  • Track performance against KPIs and SLAs and recommend actions to improve deliveryoutcomes and partner efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, data security policies, andregulatory requirements related to fulfilment.
  • Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues to the Logistics Manager for timelyintervention.

Job Title: Business Developer

Location: Nationwide

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Officer will drive user adoption of our digital products ( E-wallets, cards, etc.) and customer acquisition in various locations or regions, developing strategies to increase transaction product utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a good understanding of the business products or services and be able to advise others about the advantages of our product.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Meet with customers/clients face-to-face.
  • Develop relationships with old and new customers/clients.
  • Work strategically and carry out necessary planning to have a good market penetration.
  • Discuss promotional strategies and activities, provide feedback on daily experiences, challenges, and possible ways of resolving the issues.

  • Previous achievement in the field of sales/Business Development.
  • Previous achievements/results driving the adoption of financial products by customers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong marketing, engagement & negotiating skills.

Compensation

  • Salary + Commission (N70,000 / N135,000 - Gross)
  • Transport Allowance.
