1.) Service Engineer

Job Title: Service Engineer

Location: Plateau or Nasarawa (based on placement)

Role Summary

  • Husk is seeking a Service Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring optimal and safe operation of the generation, transmission and distribution equipment (including within customer premises) with an understanding of electrical engineering, ensuring safety and environmental inspections and preventive maintenance within Husk Power Plants.
  • This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in Nigeria and India.

Key Responsibilities
General:

  • Daily Monitoring of HMGs at Meters and System Portal.
  • The Service engineer must ensure maximum power quality, power availability and power reliability of the plant and ensure efficient functioning of all connections at the customer premises
  • The Service engineer will take all preventative and corrective maintenance on the plant whilst making sure all HSE procedures are followed.
  • Initiate tickets to OEMs and follow up for early rectification.
  • Maintain event log at HMG plants.
  • Health Check-up and Maintenance of Plants.
  • Train site electricians on the operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Working closely with the customer teams to provide high quality service to the customers
  • Ensure New Customer Connections on time as per SOP.
  • Monitor and control the Diesel consumption of Generators.
  • Spares planning & avoid shortage of spares & consumables.
  • Diesel Engine Overhauling, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of Mechanical & and electrical problems.

Plant Operations:

  • Play a key role as a member of the Mini-Grids Operations and Maintenance team to plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the plants to ensure smooth progress.
  • Understand and manage sites’ performance to key performance metrics.

Asset Management:

  • Ensures completion of technical documents; grid outages, onsite equipment problems, log entries, site visitation; and safety and environmental inspections.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly equipment healthiness checklist; Preventive maintenance planning; Shutdown planning; Daily reading logbook, etc.

Job Summary

  • Husk is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Engineering team in Nigeria.
  • This individual will play an integral role in providing support to the Engineering Design Team in ensuring the effective, efficient, and timely implementation of all engineering design inputs for HMGs, and C&I installations.

Key Responsibilities
General:
