Overall Responsibility

  • The Head of Technology is responsible for driving the strategic technology initiatives to support business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • He/she ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of all IT systems, implements digital transformation initiatives while safeguarding critical data and maintaining stakeholder trust, and manages the operations and development of the Technology team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related numerate discipline.
  • A master’s degree (MBA, MSC IT, MIT) is a strong advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, PMP, Scrum, CISSP, CISA, CISM, TOGAF, AWS, DevOps, Azure/ Google Cloud).
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Insight and knowledge of local and international practices in the pensions and information technology industry.

2.) Head, Wealth Management

Job Title: Head, Wealth Management

Job Description 

  • The Head of Wealth Management is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for GT Fund Managers Limited’s wealth management operations, driving sustainable growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) while delivering superior investment solutions to high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra-high-net worth individuals (UHNIs), corporates, and institutional clients.
  • This position emphasizes the creation of innovative wealth products, the enhancement of client relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and the alignment of wealth management strategies with GTCO’s broader business goals and risk tolerance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the wealth management strategy in line with GT Fund Managers’ growth objectives, risk appetite, and GTCO Group strategy.
  • Drive sustainable growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) through client acquisition, portfolio optimization, and innovative wealth solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), Ultra High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNIs), corporates, and institutional clients, ensuring superior client experience and retention.
  • Monitor market trends, client behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Investment, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Operations) and external partners to enhance service delivery and market positioning.

Qualifications required for the Job

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MSc Finance, Economics, or related field) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in wealth management, asset management, private banking, or investment advisory.
  • Must be a SEC Sponsored individual.
  • Financial planning: Deep knowledge of retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning.
  • Investment management: Expertise in creating and managing complex investment strategies, portfolio construction, and asset allocation.
  • Analytical skills: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities for financial modeling, forecasting, and complex problem-solving.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

3.) Head, Investment GTPension

Job Title: Head, Investment GTPension

Job Summary

  • The Head of Investment is responsible for formulating and executing the overall investment strategy of the Organization.
  • S/He will provide oversee all investment activities to ensure the long-term growth and security of pension assets, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the Company’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Company’s investment strategy, policies, and assets allocation framework in line with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of all RSA (Retirement Savings Account) and Approved Existing Scheme portfolios to ensure optimal, risk-adjusted returns that meet or exceed client expectations and fund benchmarks.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and secure viable investment opportunities across various asset classes, including money market, debt instruments, capital markets, and alternative investments, in compliance with PenCom regulations.
  • Conduct continuous macroeconomic analysis, market trend monitoring, and competitor analysis to inform investment decisions and strategy adjustments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all PenCom investment guidelines, including authorized markets, allowable instruments, and investment limits.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of comprehensive investment reports and regulatory returns to PenCom and other relevant bodies.
  • Regular review of portfolio performance, analyzing deviations from benchmarks and adjusting as needed, and provide comprehensive performance reports to clients and senior management.
  • Provide regular, expert advisory support and updates to the Board Investment Committee and other management committees on key developments affecting the investment landscape and portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Department to ensure effective market and liquidity risk management frameworks are in place and adhered to within the investment division.
  • Review client reports for Approved Schemes to ensure continuous adherence to investment mandates and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee the management and development of the Investment team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regulators (especially PenCom), fund managers, and financial market counterparties.
  • Advocate for the advancement and deepening of the Pension industry through and with the relevant SROs and PenCom

Qualifications and Experience

  • A First Degree and a Post-Graduate Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA)
  • ACI Dealing Certificate is an added advantage
  • Insight and knowledge of local and international practices in the pensions and retirement benefits industry
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience in managing a large investment portfolio (size of between N50Billion to N100Billion).
  • Deep expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, and regulatory compliance
