1.) Senior Commercial Analyst

 

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • As Senior Commercial Analyst (Commercial Performance Manager), you will manage and coordinate the work of a small team of commercial analysts.
  • This aims at bringing an exceptional growth for revenue, volume, margin, assortment and conversion rate.
  • You will be definitely a main contributor for delivering a world-class customer experience and ensuring Jumia becomes the most beloved shopping destination for Africans.
  • You will also be responsible for anticipating and structuring the commercial activity.

Your role will include 5 dimensions clearly identified:

  • Business steering monthly and daily from topline to bottom line.
  • Commercial event organization.
  • Price management to ensure we offer the lowest prices across all markets.
  • Weekly analysis of our Jumia actual trajectory versus business plan.
  • Influencing / Coordinating other departments to ensure seamless execution.




Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the execution of the Performance Steering Actions (PSAs) with the Seller Management team.
  • Giving daily and weekly visibility on key deviations versus Business Plan.
  • Defining, coordinating and executing Jumia promotional events, from Black Friday and Jumia Anniversary to weekly commercial events.
  • Promoting the diversity on our websites by coordinating commercial teams and marketing teams to highlight strong categories level 3.
  • Fostering deduplication on our platform (having a maximum number of vendors selling the same SKUs).
  • Increasing the number of fast moving marketplace SKUs secured in Jumia Express to ensure a best in class commercial experience.
  • Centralizing all BI requests from local and central commercial teams to ensure commercial has specs for each. development needed and receive the right level of prioritization by our BI team.

Requirements

  • Top Business / Engineering Schools and Universities.
  • 6+  years of experience.
  • A significant experience in ecommerce, management consulting, venture capital, company creation or category management (retail) would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (VBA would be a plus).
  • Ability to analyse large data sets to make strategic decisions.

2.) Sourcing Associate, Fresh / Frozen

 

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time
Department: Sourcing Associate, Fresh/Frozen

Job Objective

  • The Sourcing Associate will be responsible for the inventory management of our controlled ecommerce grocery supply and our dark store supply.
  • He will be working with the commercial teams to ensure correct inventory levels at all times - creating POs, matching inventory to demand, working with the supplier to adjust PO, working with Jumia Services to inbound stock in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Making sure POs are raised and sent to the suppliers in due time with the right quantities.
  • Following up on stock received, inbounded.
  • Contributing to the automation of our replenishment processes (automatic PO, etc).
  • Ensuring there is a steady flow between our main warehouse and our dark stores.
  • Anticipating the needed supply based on sales history, seasons and upcoming campaigns.
  • Monitoring and analyzing current inventory based on key inventory management KPIs.
  • Developing action plans in coordination with the sales team to optimize stocks.




Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a reputable Nigerian
    university.
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel. Knowledge of other tools i.e. PBI etc. is an advantage
  • Exceptional team working skills and people management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment preferably in a consumer goods or retail environment.
  • Adequate knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry

3.) Head of Key Accounts

 

Location: Lagos

Department: Commercial - Key Account Management

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for Sales and Revenue growth from Jumia Key Sellers, including shared ownership of Customer Acquisition and Engagement goals.
  • Supports Key Account Managers in negotiating commercial terms, signing contracts, and building sound margin structures.
  • Partners with Jumia’s key business partners to grow their assortment and business on Jumia.
  • Full P&L ownership. Accountable for profitability of respective businesses and shared responsibility over subsidy budgets.
  • Build and maintain senior level relationships with Jumia’s key partners, acting as the first point of escalation.
  • Build and maintain senior level relationships with internal Jumia teams, this role is expected to work closely with Marketing, Finance, Content, and Tech teams.
  • Owns weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting aspects for their respective teams and business partners.
  • Hire and develop a high performing, diverse team.




Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant work experience, ideally in Retail or Electronics related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize spend to achieve business goals.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining senior level contacts.

4.) Key Account Manager

Job Objective

  • As Key Account Manager, you will have the end-to-end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of the key vendors assigned to you.
  • Your role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, and manage key vendors in our marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous growth of our existing business by owning pricing and promotions strategy, working with marketing teams to improve product content and visibility; and managing stock availability by coordinating teams across the business to bring the product to the customer.
  • Complete Sales performance of the 3c’s Categories, vendors, merchant management and monitoring of sales strategies with a view to increasing the Business unit’s Net Margin Position (NMP) & Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).

  • Create and present strategic insights for the Business unit to gain alignment of major initiatives at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Analyze & Present post – promotion analysis for retail and Marketplace, quantifying impact to brand and category.
  • Define and optimize curation/assortment selection strategy for your portfolio ensuring relevance of selection/styling to optimize revenues and sales velocity.
  • Support product and content creation process to increase assortment live.
  • Plan and maintain constant stock availability.
  • Trend Spotting: Should be able to identify broader trends and fill category gaps
  • Build weekly marketing plan, contribute determining which products/subcategories will be promoted on website and through all marketing channels (Newsletters, Facebook, etc).
  • Develop strong analytics to evaluate daily/weekly/monthly performance and optimize further marketing, pricing, and product selection
  • Develop and manage subcategories under Jumia. Maintain the P&L and develop annual and quarterly category strategic plans by conducting financial analysis of the business.
  • Manage the entire physical product lifecycle, from strategic activities to tactical implementation, including product portfolio idea generation
  • Work closely with the vendor management team to identify vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure best quality and costs.

5.) Director of Offline Sales

  • Drive day to day performance steering and management to deliver the Offline Sale KPIs.

6.) Head of Sales - External Clients

 

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time
Department: Services - Sales

Job Objective

  • The Head of Sales - will report to the Country Manager with functional reporting to the Director of Sales and this will help ensure standard of services are pitched in similar fashion.
  • Primary responsibilities are to develop and maintain business relationships with customers and prospects by exploring opportunities focused on third party logistics solutions, in addition to selling Jumia’s full portfolio of services.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Management:

  • Day-to-day prospecting and new business lead generation
  • Develop competitive solutions and proposals resulting in new business and partnerships
  • Complete day-to-day administrative duties including Customer Relationship Management maintenance - managing appropriate pipeline and updating key customer information.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers on a regular basis, including frequent on-site visits.
  • Development and execution of a structured client onboarding plan
  • Communicate issues and concerns with operations and senior management when required
  • Participate in rate schedule development and contracts for both new and existing business
  • Responsible for creating and delivering high quality presentations pitches to the customer - both virtual and in person.

People Management:

  • End to end participation on all team structure hiring, training and performance management
  • Development and building of team morale and coerciveness
  • Responsible for the cascading, monitoring and execution of team KPIs in line with business strategy

Required Qualifications

  • A completed Master’s Degree from an accredited university; An MBA, Business Management degree or relevant

  • Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills – assess, design and sell a given solution

Required Experience:
