1.) Team Lead, Application and Network Control

Job Description

  • Development and formulation of suitable strategies for ensuring the adequacy of controls over Information Technology Assets of the bank.
  • Coordinating the Implementation of sound independent Technology control policies, practices and standards to mitigate all sources of Information Technology risks across all layers of Information systems including Networks, Database management systems, Operating system, application systems etc.
  • Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the review teams in the ITControl unit of the Internal Control and Enhancement group.
  • Coordinate the Automation of Internal control processes and procedures (including scripting, Anti-fraud rules and use of specialized tools) so as to enhance productivity and operational efficiency of the department.
  • Coordinate the execution of Quality Assurance processes (including User Acceptance testing or UAT, change management controls and approvals) over the deployment of new Information Technology systems.
  • Coordinate the conduct of Forensic Investigations into Technology related frauds using specialized tools and techniques such as PL/SQL queries, ACL, Operating system logs, Database Logs and Anti-fraud systems.
  • Coordinate the Implementation of appropriate Role structures, review procedures and other control mechanisms to ensure that access provisioning and user administration processes are properly controlled and are fraud-free across various operating platforms.
  • Coordinate the resolution of audit issues and exceptions on IT operations, Infrastructure, Application solutions and security operations units.
  • Liaising with external auditors and regulators on issues relating to Information Technology risks identified during audits and periodic examination and facilitating the implementation of recommended controls.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum Education: First Degree in any numerate or science discipline, higher Degrees / professional certifications (preferable but not compulsory), CISA, CISSP etc.

Experience:

  • Minimum experience: 8 years relevant experience in information systems, auditing, control, or security work.

2.) Associate, Group Reporting and Corporate Finance

Job Description

  • To serve as a critical team member in the execution of advisory and financing transactions.
  • Coordinate timely rendition of monthly financial reporting returns, for some of the commercial banking subsidiaries in the prescribed format for group consolidated management reporting.
  • Prepare monthly subsidiary performance review report for Management, highlighting performance variance against budget, the key drivers of the reported financial performance in the month under review and remediation plans of subsidiaries as necessary.
  • Assist other Team Leads in the coordination of the preparation of the consolidated Group Management Committee (GMC) report for all commercial banking subsidiaries.
  • Support in coordination of the subsidiary budgetary process, to ensure standardization across the banking group
  • To support HOD in the credit agencies relationship & workstreams, including rating agency presentation preparations and effective collaboration with Investors relation unit to drive positive yearly credit rating outcomes for First Bank of Nigeria Limited
  • Lead origination, marketing and execution of corporate finance engagements including Valuation, M&A, Valuation for financial reporting purpose, Financial model review and model build and Market entry study.
  • Providing of key advice on deal considerations including structuring, pricing and negotiation advice to international and local clients.
  • Lead the development and execution of the business plan to expand the valuation and modeling practice.
  • Lead the drafting and appraisal of information memorandum, business plans, financial models and valuation approaches.
  • Lead the coordination of due diligence client M&A activities and the review of transaction documentation.
  • Provide client presentations regarding the project under responsibility to the team and clients
  • Industry/company research for both deal origination and transaction analysis

6.) Team Lead, Control Standards & Monitoring

  • Coordinates and supervises activities of control standards and monitoring officers
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal control framework, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of the Internal Control Framework and Fraud Risk Management Framework in the bank
  • Preparation and review of annual internal control strategy and plan.
  • Support the bankwide COSO adoption exercise led by Head, Control Techniques & Standards and follow up with all stakeholder departments to ensure their compliance
  • Coordinates the reviews and updates of test plans in control review template to ensure changes made to head Office/branch processes and controls are reflected in the current procedure.
  • Review the Risk Rating of branches, Head Office, and Subsidiaries to determine frequency of reviews and areas of focus for Control Officers
  • Facilitates stakeholder engagements for process control changes and enhancements for implementation
  • Maintains uniform standard on control documentations across branches and Head Office departments.
  • Support the Head Control Techniques & Standards in change management efforts for control enhancements
  • Develop communication materials in respect of process changes and control enhancement for internal and external stakeholders

  • Draft communication to stakeholders affected by internal control changes and obtain approval to disseminate
  • Supervise quality assurance review, collation and reporting of Control Compliance Rating Scores, Operational Risk Rating and other scorecard inputs and obtain Head, Control Techniques & Standards’ approval before submission to BPM.
