1.) Director of Philanthropy
Job Title: Director of Philanthropy
Location: Abuja
Type of Role: Fixed - Term
The opportunity
- As the inaugural Director of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for establishing and leading our philanthropy/fundraising program.
- This role involves developing a comprehensive strategy, over time building a dedicated team, and cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and corporations to secure significant contributions that support our mission.
- The successful candidate enjoys strategy development, building a philanthropy department and highly productive team.
- The immediate priority of this role will be to build a Major Gifts solicitation model and a portfolio of High Network Individuals in Nigeria, based on Plan Nigeria’s Brand.
- Over time, this role will propose modalities for Mass Giving, which will include Nigerians in Diaspora and merchandizing of corporate products for Plan Nigeria.
About You
- We are looking for applicant with a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Fundraising or Philanthropy, Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- NYSC discharged or certificate of exemption is compulsory.
- The candidate must show evidence of current network to High Net Worth individuals and/or an ability to demonstrate related ability to develop such relationships.
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting major gifts and leading fund-raising initiatives.
- Our ideal candidate must be a result-oriented self-starter that loves hitting targets, comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity, skilled relationship builder and fearless in reaching out to prospective donors.
- Preferred candidate must be exceptional both in written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and team building skills, as well as deep understanding of organization’s mission and goals.
- Sound knowledge of donor databases and CRM systems.

2.) Brand Manager
Job Title: Brand Manager
Location: Abuja
Type of Role: Fixed - Term
The opportunity
- This role will have oversight responsibility on behalf of the Country Director to deliver and maintain a strong and impactful Country Brand Strategy.
- This role will lead the development and implementation of a roll-out plan for the Country Brand Strategy for Plan Nigeria, and will lead in delivering brand training, lead on maintaining and developing operational networks for brand feedback and development.
- This role will work very closely with the Global Brand Manager to lead on a variety of other activities relating to the alignment and implementation of the Global Brand Strategy with the Country Brand Strategy and on-going development.
About You
- We are looking for applicant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree and Brand Management Certification will be an added advantage.
- NYSC discharged or certificate of exemption is compulsory.
- Have at least 7 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- The candidate should be able to demonstrate commercial and/or non-profit brand management experience in a large complex organization.
- Experience in leading brand asset and brand message development.
- Our ideal candidate must have a track record of developing and implementing brand, communications, strategies and tactics that have delivered strong results. Experience in managing external agencies, vendors and managing budgets.
- Preferred candidate should have good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, influence, execution skills, project management skills, computer skills, ability to multitask and English Language proficiency.

3.) Safety and Security Officer
Job Title: Safety and Security Officer
Location: Kano
Type of Role: Fixed - Term
The opportunity
- The Safety and Security Officer will be responsible for assessments, security related guidance and enforce implementation of security policies, guidelines and procedures for the smooth implementation of the Accelerating Basic Education and Livelihood Opportunities for Children and Youth in North Western Nigeria Project with the support of the Head of Safety, Security and Government Protocol.
About You
- We are looking for candidate with University degree in Occupational Health & Safety or any related field.
- The candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Security, Health and Safety Management or similar capacity.
- S/he should demonstrate good understanding of national security related issues and their relations to Plan International Nigeria context.
- The candidate should have experience in conducting participatory risk assessment and preparing situational analysis including the analysis of factors from both the internal and external environments, identifying crucial risks that have to be addressed, setting objectives and developing plans of action.

4.) Gender Equality and Inclusion Officer
Job Title: Gender Equality and Inclusion Officer
Location: Sokoto
Type of Role: Fixed - Term
The opportunity
- The ASPIRE project is a 5-year project funded with support from Global Affairs Canada and focused on improving sexual rights and reproductive health of adolescent girls and boys in Sokoto state.
- The Gender Equality and Inclusion officer will provide support to Gender Equality Coordinator in ensuring project processes, activities and outputs are in line with project Gender Equality and Inclusion Strategies and contribute to Plan International Nigeria, Donor, National and State level commitments to Gender Equality and Inclusion
About You
- We are looking for applicant with University degree or equivalent in Social Science, Art with background in Gender studies, Anthropology or its equivalent from a recognised university.
- A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- The candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years practical work experience in mainstreaming Gender Equality and Inclusion in projects.
- Experience in implementing gender-transformative projects will be an added advantage.
- S/he should possess the ability to use a safeguarding and intersectional lens in how gender-transformative programming is carried out to ensure project approaches and activities are sensitive to risk of harm to children/adolescent.
