1.) Flight Co - Assistant
Job Title: Flight Co - Assistant
Location: Abuja
Contract Type: Open-Ended
Contract Work Hours: 208 working hours per month
Main Purpose
- Assists the flight coordinator with the multiple tasks required to prepare, monitor, and consolidate the MSF flights, contributing to the efficiency of the flight operation.
- It requires systematic inter-action with other interlocutors, such as airport authorities and other humanitarian air operators in the country.
Job Description
- Plan, organize and coordinate all administrative and logistics activities concerning the complete handling of an MSF aircraft in the Airport in collaboration with the Flight-coordinator.
- Organize communication and operational network between MSF Air Operations / MSF in the Airport and be the representative of MSF with all authorities involved in International Airport in collaboration with the Flight- coordinator.
- Organize communication and operational network between MSF Air Operations / MSF and be the representative of MSF with the Civil Aviation Authorities, security bodies, and the technical departments of the Authorities involved in our Air Operations in collaboration with the Flight-coordinator.
- Participate actively in meetings with other Air Operators and authorities concerning safety or others and reports to the Flight-Co.
- Organizes the dispatch (weather, security, runway condition, payload) of the flights in collaboration with the Flight Coordinator, to ensure smooth running of the flight.
- Provide technical and administrative support to the Flight-co in all aspects of the implementation of an MSF aircraft.
- Participate actively in the technical organization of the flights.
- Be the representative of MSF for the MSF passengers in the International Airport of Abuja about all flights, which transport MSF personal, and cargo.
- Write and collaborate in the edition of guidelines for all processes in relation to Air Operations in Nigeria.
- Follow and inform about all updates relating to flight operations.
- Files all documents and write all reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) related to the flights in the filing systems to maintain an accurate database.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as may be delegated by the Flight Coordinator, depending on needs.
- Booking of all MSF passengers and cargo in MSF internal booking system.
- Prepare flight schedules to different airports in the country in accordance with aviation rules and safety.
- Maintains and develops contacts at national level with authorities, airport representative and other humanitarian operators.
- Ensures that necessary authorization and flight clearances are obtain in timely manner if aircraft needs to fly back to base for overhaul.
- Consolidate and process all aviation invoices to finance for payment (fuel, handling, navigation charges)
- Control and filing of all post flight documents.
- Ensure that all sites are informed of the progress of the aircraft once its airborne, and when landed.
- Coordinates with logistics at different airports to pick up and transport passengers to their locations.
- Assist the flight coordinator in arranging meetings with authorities.
- Immediately report to FlightCo any details if incidents/accidents occur to MSF staff, crew, or aircraft.
- Able to interpret weather, notice to airmen (NOTAMs) and other circulars disseminated by civil aviation for the safe, efficient, and safe operation of the MSF flight.
- Provide flight following and flight watch during flight progress using the flight following/watch tools.
Requirements
- Education Essential: University Degree with specialization in flight dispatch, flight operations, pilot or air traffic control.
- Experience: Airport operations, flight scheduling, customer service, airline operations, data entry and administration.

2.) Watchman
Job Title: Watchman
Location: Abuja
Contract Type: Open Ended
Contract Work Hours: 208 working hours per month
Main Purpose
- Carrying out surveillance and guarding activities in MSF facilities, according to MSF protocols and security rules, in order to ensure the safety and security of all mission personnel and premises.
Job Description
- Surveying the MSF premise's access and guiding people to reception within authorized hours.
- Contacts the administration team to authorize people access.
- Watching MSF premises and property's perimeter fence through regular patrols. Remaining on duty until another watchman comes to do a handover, never leaving the post unattended.
- Organizing traffic of vehicles within the premises and directs them in and out.
- Checking that the doors and windows are locked, and lights are off when people leave premises.
- Checking that security lights are working properly and informing line manager of any possible problems.
- Keeping area within MSF premises clean and tidy (ex. empty dustbins, sweep paths, etc.) and performing general maintenance activities of the garden (ex. cut grass, maintain flower beds, prune trees if necessary, etc.).
- Maintaining watchmen's torch and other lighting tools, returning used batteries and keeping the necessary supply of spare batteries. Maintaining communication equipment (radio) in working conditions and providing battery availability.
- Supervising diesel/petrol tank levels of fuel. Ensuring the correct functioning of generator and water pumps (starting, switching off, record sheet of operating hours and maintenance) as well as the correct use of extinguishers (being aware of their location.
- Informing line manager of the arrival of any materials before unloading and helping MSF staff carry heavy items, if necessary.
- Register all people and goods entering and exiting the premises in the register book.
- Update the board for expatriates’ movements.
- Manage expat movements from 9pm upward daily.
- Clean the generator(s) daily when on morning duty.
- Clearing of grasses and trimming of overgrown trees branches with MSF premises.

3.) Driver
Job Title: Driver

Main Purpose
- Performing the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country's traffic rules and MSF security rules, in order to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service
Job Description
- Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carry out hand over if another needs to use the vehicle
- Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules, to avoid car accidents.
- Ensuring all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling and ensuring non-MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle.
- Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Logistics and ensuring that the goods have the necessary documents
- Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
- Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
- Knowing how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver's position and any potential implications.
- Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passagers know and respect the security rules.

4.) Maintenance Agent
Job Title: Maintenance Agent

Contract Period: Fixed Term
Main Purpose
- Perform repair / maintenance / construction works, according to the supervisor’s instructions and MSF standards, in order to ensure proper operations and prevent faults / deterioration of MSF equipment / installations / infrastructures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out all minor works (construction, repairs, etc.) requested by the line manager, as well as any task identified by the employee and approved by the line manager.
- Perform regular maintenance of MSF installations / equipment / infrastructures (base, house, store, warehouse, health centre, hospital, etc.), particularly in line with a preventive maintenance plan (procedures to follow, schedule, etc.).
- In the event of faults / deterioration, diagnose the problem and propose possible solutions to the line manager and/or technical adviser.
- Perform any necessary tests / checks to confirm the proper operation of the installation or equipment after repair.
- Ensure effective management, protection and care of work tools (including site installations under the employee’s supervision) and keep the workshop tidy.
- Ensure that there are adequate stocks of consumables and materials for minor repairs and manage those stocks; placing orders in time.
- Keep all documents related to installations / equipment / infrastructures in order and update them regularly.
- Immediately inform the line manager of any problems that arise in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, theft or attempted break-ins. Assist logistics department for any related work needed MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Technical Diploma or its equivalent in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electricity, Woodwork, Air Conditioning, Roofing, Heating, Welding, Painting, Refrigeration and Appliances Maintenance.
- Experience: At least 2 years work experience in technical works and organising of multiple activities, preferably within MSF facility/ work environment.
- Previous working experience working with MSF or other NGOs.
Minimum Required Skills:
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work Experience in developing countries or similar contexts is desirable.
- Languages Local language essential. Mission language desirable.
- Knowledge Essential ability to do basic repairs.

Main Purpose
- Defining, coordinating, and monitoring the medical activities under his/her responsibility according to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities as well as to improve the health condition of the target population.
Job Description
- Coordinating, assessing, and supervising the proper functioning of the medical activities (HIV, TB STIs, SGBV, etc.), according to MSF protocols, standards, and procedures and through the correct compilation and analysis of medical data regarding patients’ health conditions.
- Participating in the definition of annual planning and budget for the project and in the follow up of the programs / project. Supervising and ensuring that medical activities objectives under his/her responsibility are achieved, reporting to the technical referent any problem arising in the service.
- Checking all administrative procedures related to patients’ follow-up (individual card filling, registers, paper exit, discharge, transfers ...) are carried out correctly and according to MSF procedures.
- Ensuring an efficient pharmacy management and monitoring the rational use of them. In coordination with the project biomedical service supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating future needs.
- Preparing the medical orders needed to implement the medical activities under his/her responsibility, and identifying and reporting to the line manager, non-medical support needs (material, infrastructure, transport, etc.)
- Coordinating and monitoring the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility (absent personnel, vacations, tracking leaves ...). Participating in shifts and replaces a doctor, if necessary
- Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to improve staff capabilities and to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required.

Job Description
- Monitoring maintenance activities of infrastructures, and management of non-medical stocks and equipment according to MSF standards.
- Ensuring the check and follow-up of facilities under the line manager's supervision through daily visits to the facilities and reporting any anomalies or problems, evaluation of the rehabilitation needs and following up minor building rehabilitation work according to supervisor's instructions; checking that premises observe security norms and monitoring the consumption of mechanical and electrical vehicles/machines/devices.

Job Description
- Performing daily purchasing activities of a supply office, analyzing market sources and competitive pricing conditions among different suppliers to ensure an ongoing supply of goods, following procurement procedures, and adhering to MSF standards and protocols.
This includes the following:
- Constantly assessing the local market, seeking products and suppliers offering the best value for money, and negotiating prices to guarantee the best quality and pricing for MSF goods and commodities. Regularly updating the supplier-item-price data on the supply office and informing the Supply (Activity) Supervisor/Logistics Supervisor of all information or modifications (e.g., price, address, items available).
- At the request of the line manager, obtaining different quotations from suppliers per the MSF Purchasing policy and placing purchase orders with pre-selected suppliers with whom prices have been agreed.
- Requesting invoices or receipts promptly for all purchases, checking they are correctly filled, and translating information written in the local language before approval.
- Managing the administrative and accounting procedures related to purchases, such as completing purchase orders, checking delivery notes (against orders), managing advances issued by the Finance Department, and updating information on purchase lists after purchases are made.
