1.) Advisor, Regulatory Affairs

 

Job Summary:

• Provide advisory support and implement MTN structured stakeholder management strategy at both regional and state levels with particular emphasis on the executive and legislative arms of the state. Input into policy advocacy and research, to ensure MTN business promotion.

Job Role

• Provide advisory support to the regulatory affairs function of MTN as well as government relations and regulatory advice to all divisions within MTN.
• Support the research of social, economic, and industrial trends.
• Establish, develop, and maintain effective corporate relationship with identified government stakeholders proactively.
• Coordinate follow up actions from meetings on regular basis to ensure timely and successful implementation of planned activities.
• Manage pre, during and post relationship with traditional authorities and councils to promote MTN’s business interest.
• Assist in the collation of internal feedback on a regular basis across all divisions.
• Monitor and coordinate follow up actions from meetings, support projects etc. on regular basis to ensure timely provision of information.

Education

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.

2.) Manager, Revenue Assurance (Mobile Money)

 

Job Summary:

• Maximize organizational revenues by assuring the end-to-end effectiveness of the Mobile Money revenue management chain.
• Identify areas of possible revenue leakages and recommend mitigation measures to the process owners and follow up to ensure corrective measures.
• This is in addition to dealing with fraud activities within the Fintech space. (IFRS)

Job Role

• Lead in ensuring that all fintech controls are rolled out and executed according to the approved frequency
• Implementing additional controls outside the Group control framework to mitigate emerging Fintech risks.
• Ensuring that exceptions and anomalies picked up during the performance of various control activities are investigated and reported on
• Lead the verification of the integrity of the Fintech Billing Systems through rating checks.
• Ensure that Margin Analysis is carried out for Partner and commission invoices to ensure optimal Gross Margins.
• Manage team performance of Activity calendar by setting targets, assign and review the performance and allocation of Activity Calendar activities
• Ensure Issues are logged, monitored and closed on predefined template within agreed SLA’s.
• Regular and accurate quantification of confirmed issues to provide management indication of potential benefits
• Prepare, support and represent team at Steercom and SPOC forums
• Contribute and prepare with Senior Manager the team monthly and quarterly reports
• Assist in new product development by inputting into product design, risk/return or cost/benefit of new product and services

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• A minimum of First Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics or Accounting.
• Professional qualification in Accounting, Information Technology or Telecommunication Engineering a must.






Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in Revenue Assurance in the telecommunications sector, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.

Professional/Technical competencies:

• Good Knowledge of the mechanics of telecommunications.
• Knowledge of Telco billing principles and operation.
• Knowledge of Fintech Risks and mitigations.
• Good knowledge of the Revenue Management chain in telecommunications
• Good knowledge of IT and IT Systems

• Financial analysis skills

3.) Specialist, Revenue Assurance (Mobile Money)

 

Job Summary:

• Responsible for proactively monitoring and implementing controls and related activities within the Mobile Money space.

Job Role

• Responsible for the review of inherent potential risks within the Mobile Money space
• Design and implement primary and secondary controls within the Mobile Money space to prevent and detect leakage
• Responsible for primary controls monitoring
• Responsible for Secondary control performance and exception remediation
• Daily data quality monitoring on RAFM platform
• Revenue reporting and usage trend analysis
• Conduct pre and post Mobile Money product and services implementation test
• Review changes to the Mobile Money system and user logs
• Perform borrowing and repayment analysis
• Perform bad debt aging analysis.

4.) Specialist, Commercial Legal

 

Job Summary:

• Provide support in minimizing and mitigating legal risk, provide legal services to the various divisions and the Company towards ensuring corporate governance.

Job Role

• Support in the conduct of research and legal opinions, gather and evaluate relevant facts, research applicable laws and provide recommendations on the legal consequences of business initiatives, decisions and highlight attendant risks.
• Draft, review and authenticate contracts and incorporate related company policies into contracts
• Provide relevant advice on company contracts relating to supplier agreements, employment contracts
• Create and maintain a centralized legal database
• Create and regularly update templates and checklists
• Follow up on reports with external solicitors on all on-going litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Communicate with third parties via Letters, E-mail etc.
• Provide relevant advice and support efforts towards influencing Governmental & Regulatory Policies affecting the Company’s businesses.

5.) Analyst, Financial Planning & Budgeting

 

Job Summary:

• Provide financial planning support in the Corporate Performance Management Department and assigned divisions to enhance decision making process in support of business’s strategic agenda within broadly defined policies to ensure that objectives are met.

Job Role

• Ensure standardisation with respect to forecasting parameters, methodology and templates
• Ensure forecasting process is followed as per defined budgeting and forecasting policy
• Ensure adherence to the SLAs and roles & responsibilities defined for forecasting process
• Generate periodic forecasts as per defined schedule for the Opco
• Submit forecasts for approvals as per defined delegation of authority (DOA)
• Assist in preparation of operation budget and projection of expenses
• Provides assistance to manager in strategic and financial planning initiatives
• Assist in designing the use of financial modelling systems
• Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures and systems to enable the financial evaluation of strategic business opportunities
• Prepare reports on budget process and support in preparation of relevant packs for the Board for budget approvals.
• Assist in preparation of budgets by performing validation checks over forecasted numbers
• Perform reconciliations with respect to approved forecasts and forecasts uploaded in ERP
• Allocation and re-allocation of budget to the departments
• Monitor, analyse and adjust the expenditure deviations from allocated budget
• Periodic analysis of the budget and expenses of the departments
• Expense tracking and cost control
