Duties

  • The incumbent serves as a Facilities American Escort for FAC and Contract personnel and will assist the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) and the Assistant POSHO in performing his/her duties.
  • S/he will also perform hazardous material, fire and safety inspections on the Embassy Compound and when required at all Embassy Abuja’s residential leased properties.
  • The position documents inspection results that aid FAC in ordering supplies and developing work schedules to correct the discrepancies found.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year prior work experience in general office work, management or security related position is required.
  • Job Knowledge: General knowledge of security procedures and mission operations is required. Thorough knowledge of office procedures is required.

Duties

  • This position is an assistant to the Information Management Officer (IMO). With technical guidance from Information Management Specialists, the incumbent will assist the Information Management Office (IMO) in daily Information Resource Management (IRM) operations.
  • The primary duties will be assisting users with account configuration, basic system administration functions such as password resets, intranet website updates, systems training.
  • S/he assists with unclassified pouch operations and is responsible for ensuring the emergency radio inventory is up to date and properly documented.

  • Performs automotive body repairs as well as painting, welding, and sheet metal work. Examines shop repair orders and follows instruction on repairs.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:

  • Experience: Three years of experience in an Auto Paint Shop is required.
  • Job Knowledge: Must have good working knowledge of standard procedures and regulations, as well as good knowledge of various quality types of paints and their application is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required. Vocational training in Automotive Body Repair and Painting is required.
  • Evaluations: This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.
  • Language:  Good working knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.

Skills And Abilities:

  • Must have a valid Nigerian drivers' license to operate cars, trucks, buses, and other vehicles as needed.  Must be able to carry out vehicle repair work with minimum supervision. Must be able to read, understand, and use technical manuals to repair vehicles, with the ability to lift 30lbs weight manually.  Weights above 30 lbs should be operated with aid of machine.
