Your Mission

  • Ensure that all Project / Company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.

Your Profile
The ideal candidate's profile:

  • B.Sc in Electrical and Instrumentation.
  • 10 years of demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction Management.
  • Previous experience working on a O&G / refinery / petrochemical site with a proven background of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of related HSEQ safe working practices/procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction process, it's implementation and management.
  • Fully conversant with project management tools.
  • Ability to react to changing deadlines and achieve project goals / milestones.
  • Ability to manage / maintain budget / schedule requirements.
  • Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project goals.
  • Fluent in English. French speaker a plus.

  • In this context, we are looking for a competent and passionate professional for a Project Manager position, in charge of the Global Maintenance Contract of an FPSO operating by an International Oil Company in deep offshore Nigeria.
  • Very autonomous in your position, you will be in charge of managing the daily client relationship, the scheduling, the organisation, the budget (more than 10 million dollars per year) and will be responsible for the respect of the contractual terms of the project.
  • As a true manager and leader, you will be in charge of a team of more than 100 qualified professionals in various specialties (Electricity, instrumentation, mechanics, automation). You will also be involved in shutdown campaigns or additional work requests throughout the life of the contract.

  • Develop and report on KPIs to Engineering and Maintenance Managers to provide assurance of delivery on a monthly basis towards defined targets

5.) Electrical & Instrumentation Trainer

Job Description
SPIE OIL &GAS Nigeria is currently looking for a Electrical & Instrumentation Trainer to join its work force in Nigeria.
Based in Port Harcourt, the main purpose of the job is:

  • Deliver theoretical and OJT programmes for electrical & instruments technicians, supervisors, specialists and graduate engineers to enable a common high level of competence.
  • Responsible for the implementation and compliance of the E&I Engineering and Maintenance Team Competence assurance system across the Spie business in all assets.
  • Support line managers in identifying needs and ensuring these needs are met in a consistent and cost effective manner.

Principal Responsibilities shall include:

  • Deliver theoretical and OJT programmes for electrical & instruments technicians, supervisors, specialists and graduate engineers.
  • Develop and prepare all course teaching materials and visual aids liaising as required with the Recruitment Team. This will also include any course reference materials and/or student workbooks.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy of all individual training records and to provide accurate reports as and when required.
  • Provide the client with detailed student progress reports containing the
    assessment, level of competence, attendance and behaviors of the trainees.
  • Liaise with equipment vendors and any additional specialist instrumentation suppliers to ensure that teaching materials support the knowledge required for a trainee to develop satisfactory workplace competence.
  • Conduct instrument and control overview training program for production personnel and others requiring a basic presentation on the plants operational control features.
  • Design appropriate courses for the trainees and to schedule their release to the operational plant to enable them to quickly develop and utilize their new skills on the job.
  • Conduct refresher training courses and additional remedial program if requested

6.) PLC Specialist

Job Description

  • Maintain, operate, modify and perform routine tasks on the PLCs, HMIs, automation computers and Unit Control Panels (UCP) of all Packages located in the Hull and Topside of the FPSO as well as the Buoy, all located within the Field.
  • Carry out modifications on both hardware (input, output, communication cards etc) and software (control and safety logic, sequence logic etc) of all systems (compressors, pumps, oil & gas metering system, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), Tank Gauging System (TGS), Power Distribution Control System (PDCS), Telemetry System, machine monitoring system etc), under his responsibility as may be required, requested or directed by COMPANY.
  • Prepare with the ICSS Administrator, preventive and corrective actions and modifications of the systems under his responsibility.
  • Manage and document in technical reports, interventions using the CMIMS and work packs provided by the planning team.
  • Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems under his responsibility and perform trouble shooting if required.
  • Control and apply inhibits in the systems as directed and controlled by COMPANY rules and procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term).
  • Take part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on SITE,
  • Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any sensitive operation and ensure that a proper assessment of the risks involved is carried out beforehand,
  • Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyse them and suggest improvements, as well as problems related to availability, quality and obsolescence of spare parts.
  • Track any backlog of work in area of responsibility and suggest corrective measures to COMPANY and CONTRACTOR to improve the management of the backlog.
  • Review and assure that all Software Modifications and corrective actions are validated by COMPANY and all impacted documentations are updated after implementation.
  • Perform further tasks in the future within the limit of the AKPO SII as may be defined by COMPANY.

Profile
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • National Diploma or Certificate (ND/NC) or A-levels + 3 years’ further study or BTS/DUT or equivalent,
  • 6 years experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems and a minimum of 3 years as a Specialist in Control and Safety systems in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry,
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process, installations and equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in PLC's especially Siemens' SIMATIC Industrial Automation Systems, Panels and HMI's.
  • Knowledge of machine control (e.g compressor control, injection pump control, offloading pump control, turbine control) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of general instrumentation concepts, field devices (sensors and final elements), instrument loops, etc.
  • Awareness of Emerson's DeltaV Process Control System, Allen Bradley's ControlLogix System and Schneider's Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems are an added advantage.
  • Awareness of SAP CMIMS or similar.
  • Awareness of Operator Training Simulators.
  • Possession of good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English language is required and knowledge of French language is an advantage.
