1.) Senior Optical Engineer

Job Title: Senior Optical Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Role

  • The ideal candidate must have DWDM experience and knowledge in optical design and engineering, advanced knowledge of optical systems, and be able to analyse, model and simulate optical systems.
  • They must also have a strong understanding of telecommunication market and be able to develop innovative solutions to complex optical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in reviewing solutions for key projects in the optical network domain
  • Identify risks, and tackle ITR problems, provide support for frontline optical network project delivery and coordinate related organisation and departments to ensure successful front line project delivery
  • Act as the project TD/TL, participate in onsite/remote assurance of global key projects, support customer requirement communication, solution design, delivery implementation, and technical issue resolution
  • Summarise and extract typical common issues in a timely manner, and drive continuous improvement of the product industry
  • Participate in the delivery assurance process and standard design of optical network projects, continuously optimise the optical network delivery assurance system based on digital technologies, and improve the digital delivery assurance capability.

Educational Background and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics or any related qualification will be considered
  • Have a basic command of optical network communication principles
  • Basic command of optical network networking architecture and network planning principles
  • Have the capability of analyzing and handling optical network problems and optical network service solution architecture.
  • Have general knowledge of any of the following product models: OSN 9800, OSN 1800, OSN 7500, and NCE-T, be able to operate and configure products
  • Experience with WDM/SDH/ASON product knowledge and commissioning and migration, Huawei or other vendor experience is preferred
  • Have a strong desire to learn about new products and technologies and have strong learning ability;
  • Have a good command of optical network commissioning technologies.
  • Be able to master and use DWDM network planning, design, and delivery tools.

2.) Business Development Manager (Data Centers)

Job Title: Business Development Manager (Data Centers)

Responsibilities

  • Attend the team and define the short term and long term market strategy and market target with colleagues in the team.
  • Achieve the data center facilities sales target via active marketing, solution promotion, customer engagement and so on.
  • Product marketing and sales promotion for data center facilities solution including UPS (uninterruptible power supply), precision cooling, service, infrastructure solution.
  • Develop industry vision and engage with customers (system integrator, IT/industrial/electrical distributor, government/financial/industrial/scientific domain users) in Nigeria
  • Take the technical lead role in supporting leads generation, opportunity discovery, sales projects, meet customers, understand their requirements, design a solution to fit their need, and present the solution to customers and the commercial offer.
  • Prioritize customer requirements for R&D and take responsibility for product’s competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, HVAC (heating and ventilation) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in data center facility or power solution, it is preferred to have 3+ years experience in industrial leading companies
  • Deep Knowledge in DC facilities and power solution.
  • Deep understanding in data center energy solution market of Nigeria.
  • Having good connections with the data center industry (ISP industry will be preferred), and sensitive to the trend, activities and opportunities in this industry.

4.) Senior Product Executive - FTTH

Job Title: Senior Product Executive - FTTH

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose of the Position

  • As a Business Consultant of Huawei Southern Africa Region, you will focus on supporting telecommunication operators on home broadband (Fiber to the home, 5G Fixed Wireless Access) business planning and marketing execution with your domain expertise and/or knowledge assets to influence telco customers to increase their investment and monetise the investments already made.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for E2E delivery of a home broadband consulting projects
  • Market analysis, product design, marketing execution planning and advising telco operator teams regarding best practice for GTM execution & results appraisal.
  • Work together with customer CMO and other relevant teams as well as Huawei business solution teams to accelerate Home Broadband user adoption and service revenue growth.
  • Provide consulting deliverables such as home market analysis, product design, marketing execution plan and assist telco operator team on sales execution.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy and implement tactical plan.
