1.) School Accountant

Job Title: School Accountant

Locations: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • In consultation with her/his line manager and the Headteacher prepare the school’s annual budget and review and update as necessary
  • Monitor income and expenditure in relation to the school’s budget, and produce monthly reports for the Directors, Headteacher and the Finance Committee.
  • Keep all school accounts and prepare income and expenditure reports in accordance with the financial regulations and shall prepare accounts for submission to the school’s auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation for the annual audit, liaising with all parties involved.
  • Maintain and oversee all bank accounts including the school’s debit card/s, completing monthly reconciliations and reporting banking errors to her/his line manager. Ensure that the school’s finance policy is reviewed and updated as necessary and that the school meets all financial requirements

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Must have at least 4 years experience as a School Acountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Remuneration
N150,000 Monthly.

2.) Administrative Officer

Job Title: Administrative Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets, logistics and events or meetings
  • Handle scheduling, record-keeping and reporting

Description

  • Under the direction of the Youth Program Manager, the Early Years Coordinator is a Youth Counselor who oversees the under age 5 program and is responsible for the implementation of all early year programming as it relates to the Passenger Programs and Entertainment Department.
  • The EYC will be regarded as a member of the Youth Staff and be required to participate in all under age 5 activities as directed by the Youth Program Manager.
  • In order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
  • The Early Years Coordinator must be passionate about working with children and embrace the Norwegian Cruise Line Mission.
  • This specific role requires attention to the early years program and familiarization with Wee Can Too and Cruise and Create Programs. This position also requires attention to activities for baby, toddler and parents.
  • As a member of the Entertainment Team, the Early Years Coordinator is responsible for implementing any of the scheduled youth and family activities that take place outside of the center as assigned.
  • Must be accessible and approachable with guests, both young and old. Must be a patient listener and offer hospitality service to the guests even when the situation falls outside of the Youth Programs.
  • Assist with the maintenance of storage, inventory and ordering of all equipment, supplies, gifts and prizes, which are specific to the Early Years program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

  • Twelve years’ post-graduation experience at least four of which must be in a secondary school.
  • At least two years in a position where he/she successfully supervised /lead team of teachers e.g., Head of Year, HOD, Coordinators etc.
  • Verifiable work experience in a benchmark school with hybrid / blended curriculum such as operational in Start-Rite schools.
  • Level 3 Certification in Safeguarding or other evidence of proficiency in caring for students’ and staff pastoral needs.
  • Membership of subject specific professional bodies like STAN
  • Proficiency is the use of technology and ability to coordinate and model its effective and strategic integration into the curriculum.
  • Certified Cambridge coursework assessor and/ WAEC Examiner
  • Track record of producing students with excellent results in external examinations
  • Familiarity with accreditation requirements for notable local and International educational agencies (e.g., COBIS, NEASC etc.) and experience coordinating such.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
