Job Summary

• The Production Team Lead will be responsible for effectively managing the production process to ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quality and quantity.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that packaging and raw materials are readily available for shift operators.
• Ensures proper manning of production lines.
• Monitors and arrange production operatives to achieve optimum utilization and output.
• Monitors and Ensures that adequate utility support is provided during production operations.
• Identifies issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Ensures that machine downtime and waste maintained are at minimal level throughout shift.
• Ensures clean work environment and strict compliance with good manufacturing practices.
• Presentation of daily production figures for verification.
• Trains new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
• Evaluates and carries out performance appraisal for subordinates.
• Carries out any other job assigned by the production manager.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc in Food technology or relevant sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as production supervisor in FMCG sector.

Job Description

• Organise and coordinate workers and materials for production activities of the assigned shift, to meet up with the production target of the plant.
• Monitor and ensures the adherence to Standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice & Good House Keeping during the assigned production shift for delivery of Finished Good which conform with quality standards.
• Liaise with Maintenance, Quality, RM Store, FG store and other for quick resolution of issues which may affect the production shift from meeting its production target.
• Implement and monitor compliance level of HSE policies during the assigned production shift and take appropriate measures/actions for a safe working environment in conjunction with the HSE department.
• Monitor and complete all production record books for the assigned production shift and submit same as appropriate.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• 2+ years cognate experience in a related field.
• Be deliberate on safety conditions and ethical.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have good leadership capabilities.
• Have basic computer skills.
