- The Country Representative acts as PSI’s senior most representative in Nigeria and has overall responsibility and accountability for PSI’s program. As leader of PSI Nigeria’s operations, the Country Representative represents PSI to government, key stakeholders and donors; supports staff growth; develops new business opportunities; ensures contract compliance; manages financial, administrative and logistical resources; prepares and executes budgets, marketing plans and work plans; ensures adherence to PSI minimum standards; and assures the effective implementation of the program overall. Your Contribution:
- Lead institutional development through strategic planning, program development, human resource planning and staff capacity building. Lead on sustainability approaches, market development and private sector engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance of all activities (i.e. financial, minimum standards, program quality assurance, donor regulations) and that all audit recommendations are implemented according to schedule. Proactively perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks, including operational, financial, legal, contractual, reputational and safety and ensure mitigation actions are implemented.
- Oversee program budgets, financial and internal controls; assure timely and accurate financial reporting as required by PSI/Washington and donors.
- Fundraise for existing and new activities and expansion of the health program’s portfolio.
- Maintain and foster strong external relations with strategic partners such as government, development partners, implementing partners and UN agencies, among others.
- Develop and enforce field office administrative policies. Promote an ethical environment in line with PSI’s values. Maintain a working culture that fosters diversity, equity and inclusion. Develop and maintain systems that ensure the safety and security of staff and assets in all aspects of work per best practices, PSI operating standards, and field realities.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field required.
- Master’s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (i.e. MBA, MPA, MPH) preferred.
- At least 10 years of related experience managing budgets and international public health programs required.
- At least 5 years of experience managing people required.
- Demonstrated work experience in similar operating environments.
- Demonstrated experience in government and donor relations and collaboration.
- Demonstrated fundraising experience.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing skills.

Your Contribution

Your Contribution
- Respond to end user requests for hardware and software related technical assistance.

4.) Demand Creation Representative (DCR)
Location: Oyo
Responsibilities
Area 1: To ensure that all providers (Doctors, Nurses/Midwives and Pharmacists) continue to have up to date knowledge on Misoprostol and other PSI/Nigeria products. The DCR will therefore:
- Maintain and update a database of all providers and service delivery points within his/her assigned geopolitical zone. Ensure the continuous assessment of providers’ knowledge and provide training and information where gaps exist with respect to Misoprostol and Combi Pack
- The DCR will map out all teaching hospitals (tertiary health facilities) and organize clinical meetings on misoprostol and combi pack targeted at the consultants in the Obstetric and Gynecology unit and other providers in the teaching hospitals.
- Organize clinical meetings on misoprostol and combi pack targeted at community pharmacists and non-franchise facility providers in his/her geopolitical zone.
- S/he shall conduct at least three (3) clinical meetings/ presentations per month.
- Participate in all major workshops/seminars/conferences of medical professional bodies (NMA / SOGON / AGPMPN / PSN / ACPN / NANNM, etc) in the zone.
- Maintain appropriate relationship with providers necessary to achieve set objectives.
Area 2: To ensure that Misoprostol and other PSI/Nigeria products are always available in adequate quantities at the wholesaler and retailer levels in the assigned sales zone.
- Will be responsible for the registration of the zonal PSI/Nigeria warehouse with the PCN.
- Work with warehouse staff to receive stocks from supplier of Misoprostol and other products from time to time and ensure there is no stock – out in the zonal warehouse.
- Deliver product stocks to wholesaler, SMOH and Tertiary Hospitals as may be necessary.
- Ensure the achievement of monthly sales targets.
- Ensure that PSI/Nigeria recommended prices are respected by all channel members.
- Maintain appropriate relationship with all channel members to ensure adequate product uptake and merchandising.
- Coordinate the linking of other channel members, providers, CBOs and NGOs with wholesalers
- Provide regular feedback to Senior Social Enterprise Manager on stock position at the Zonal Warehouse and performance of wholesalers.
- In conjunction with the Senior Social Enterprise Manager, recruit and maintain a list of registered wholesalers in the zone.
Area 3: Provide support to Research and Communications activities in the field
- Support the development and review IEC materials.
- Support the research department to ensure a successful conduct of research activities within the zone as may be mandated by PSI/Nigeria management, from time to time.
- Assist and support in product development as well as participate fully during product launch.
Area 4: Manage PSI / Nigeria assets in their care and provide support for the administration and management of their zone.
- Ensure judicious use and proper care of PSI/Nigeria assets (including project vehicle) attached to the detailer.
- Support the team leader in the zonal office in the monitoring and managing PSI/Nigeria partners and acts as backstop for the team leader in his/her absence.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and data bank of all demand creation activities in the zone.
- Submit monthly work plan to the Senior Social Enterprise Manager by 30th day of the preceding month.
- Ensure funds disbursed for official duty is judiciously used and fund retirement is submitted timely as mandated by management.
- Supervise/mentor and motivate the MVO to ensure field deliverables are met.
- Attend to other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate authority or PSI/Nigeria management.
- Ensure reports are submitted on or before deadlines.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized tertiary institution
- At least three years international work experience including experience in program management.
- Master's Degree in a relevant subject (MPH, MBA, MIA, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field

- We seek a Sub-award Coordinator to help us actively manage and monitor a portfolio of subawards in Nigeria and ensure financial and contractual compliance.
Your Contribution
- Review and process subrecipient financial reports against budgets, including validating expenditures through a sampled review of supporting documentation, identifying internal control weaknesses and disallowed or questioned costs, and preparing financial report review checklists and management letters
- Conduct subaward monitoring site visits, and update risk-based subaward monitoring and capacity building plans, on a regular basis
- Implement subaward management tools, templates, methods; and processes developed by PSI's HQ Grants and Contracts Department
- Collect and file essential subaward documentation (e.g., pre-award assessments, selection & negotiation memos, reports, site visits reports, monitoring plans, financial report review checklists, management letters, important email communications, pre-closeout letters, modifications, etc.)
- Coordinate closely with Program Management and Global Project leads at HQ to confirm documented correlation between subrecipient financial expenditures and subrecipient programmatic reporting

Overall Platform Operational Excellence
- Lead the development and implementation of PSI Nigeria’s operational policies and procedures in line with PSI global operational standards, donor requirements and local laws.
- Ensure PSI network quality and operational excellence standards and compliance requirements are met.
- Undertake periodic systems review of Supply chain, Logistics, Duty of care and Information technology to identify areas for improvement and compliance with PSI and Donor policy
- Ensure PSI is fully complaint with the local laws and regulation and legal registrations, licenses, and MoUs are valid and on file.
- Address internal and external audit findings related to business operations functional areas and execute management action plans.
Procurement:
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of the Annual Procurement Plans for all goods and services deemed necessary for the implementation of the programs.
- Ensure roles and responsibilities of all staff members involved in the procurement management are clear, delegation of roles, responsibilities, & authority is well segregated.
- In order achieve the best Value for Money, ensure properly planned and executed procurements achieved through open competition, result in economic and efficient use of funds and dictate bid evaluations.
- Oversee the process of establishing and maintaining prequalified suppliers, in accordance with PSI Nigeria’s vendors pre-qualification and selection processes.
- Manage supplier framework agreements / consultant agreements and ensure timely and periodic vendor / consultant performance assessments.
Supply chain management and logistics:
- Oversee the supply planning and ordering process of the ethical products is done in accordance with PSI global procurement procedures.
- Ensure PSI Minimum Warehousing Standards and protocols are complied.
- Overseeing preparation of monthly inventory reports and variance analysis, as well as reviewing and approving inventory adjustment entries as needed
- Review travel management protocols and systems, identity any existing gaps and suggest improvement plans.
- Ensuring that vehicles are serviced/repaired, licensed, insured, roadworthy and have the standard tools and accessories required by the traffic regulatory bodies.
Asset management, IT and security:
- Overall organizational asset and office / warehouse management through an asset register and controls put in place at various locations for asset movement.
- Facilitate adequate organizational insurance requirements, including for staff, and all organizational assets.
- Support the IT portfolio and ensure adequate support for PSI Nigeria IT needs
- Oversee the development, review, and implementation of the platform Security Management plan
- As part of PSI’s risk mitigation strategy and essential to fulfilling its Duty of Care obligations, ensure all PSI personnel receive safety and security training appropriate to their circumstances.
- Ensuring safety and security at all rented premises and acting as first link for the contracted security companies in all security matters

Your Contribution
Area 1 - To ensure that all providers in all the distribution channels continue to have up to date knowledge on Misoprostol and other PSI/Nigeria products:
- Maintain and update a data base of all providers, service delivery points and point of sales channels within his/her assigned geopolitical zone.
- Ensure the provision of job aids for knowledge update on misoprostol and combi pack to all approved distribution and point of sales channels.
- S/he will map out all community pharmacy premises and patent proprietary medicine vendors (PPMVs) in his/her assigned geographical location.
- Maintain appropriate relationship with providers necessary to achieve set objectives.
Area 2 - To ensure that Misoprostol and other PSI/Nigeria products are always available in adequate quantities at the retailer levels in the assigned sales zone:
- Directly supply misoprostol and combi pack to retail outlets in the assigned geographical location
- Maintain appropriate relationship with all channel members to ensure adequate product uptake and merchandising.
Area 3 - Manage PSI/Nigeria assets in their care and provide support for the administration and management of their zone:
- Ensure judicious use and proper care of PSI/Nigeria assets
- Submit monthly work plan to the Demand Creation Representative by 30th day of the preceding month.
- Ensure reports are submitted on or before deadlines.
Qualifications
- University Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluent in canvassing for sales of medical products
- Experience working in private institutions.
- Passionate about working on international health and development, with a focus on all reproductive health issues.
- Proven ability to work with many people across diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to juggle multiple competing deadlines while staying organized and paying special attention to details.
