1.) Accountant - Financial Operations Financial Reporting

Responsibilities
- Perform analytical review of monthly income statement.
- Identify, follow up and escalate issues from statutory audits.
- Identify and escalate needs and requirements from the ERP system.
- Prepare, update and provide links to trend analysis for actual data (IS).
- Review accounts, including Operating Expenses and Asset/Liability accounts for completeness and accuracy, raising manual journals to correct any error discovered.
- Prepare financial statements for statutory purposes and internal reporting (MIS).
- Monitor accurate reporting of management fees, ensuring financial accounts are in compliance with Accounting Standards (IAS, SAS, SA, IFRS and GAAP).
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on postings into operating expenses account when required.
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Accounting or any other related discipline
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
- Fluent in English.
Experience:
- 3 – 7 years of experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others.
- Experience working in a medium organization
- Experience working with enterprise financial systems
- Experience in telecommunications industry (desirable).

2.) Coordinator - NES Regional North, Network

Description
- Provide governance for all managed service vendors/Towerco in the region across different technologies supported.
- Manage activities of CSEs and ensure smooth operations in the region
- Act as high-level support for resolution and closure of critical service performance issues.
- Problem management to eliminate repetitive failures and guarantee QoS
- Drive contractual obligations to KPIs (MTTR, Planned Preventive Maintenance, Service Acceptance, Spares Utilization Management)
- Carry out periodic audit of MSAN nodes/RDLU to ensure they are optimal.
- Govern ATP process and ensure all changes on enterprise network are captured on the database.
- Provide business intelligence using data analytics from field, vendor, and Performance reports.
- Review and verify all reports submitted by Vendors/Towerco on a weekly basis.
- Supervise all planned network expansions, service migrations, modernization, and optimization activities in the region.
- Review and verify all proforma invoices submitted by vendors/Towerco
- Co-ordinate regional change request management and provide relevant information to all stakeholders.
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Engineering or Science related discipline
- Numerical/data analysis skills
Experience:
- 3-7 years of experience which includes;
- Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in data processing, data analysis, and data presentation space/field
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL or related database management application and MS Power Point

5.) Manager - Operational Audit, Internal Audit and Fraud Management

Description
- Create a holistic picture of each project to provide context for the findings, and implement procedures as required to perform Financial and Operational audits
- Manage and/or carry out Financial and Operational audits, special requests, consulting engagements and management requests and review the work performed to ensure the adequacy of audit scope, testing performed, and the accuracy of conclusions reached
- Execute operations audit and assess company operations, process, financial, compliance and other associated risk
- Prioritize and manage multiple administrative functions such as budgets, scheduling resources, coaching, staff development, recruiting, internal policy development, etc.
- Manage expertise and resource planning and requirements for Financial and Operational Audit assignments, special assignments and management requests
- Manage the audit assignments’ progress and escalate any roadblocks to completion to the Executive for intervention and resolution
- Implement the audit program, recognize control weaknesses, assess the materiality of these weaknesses, and relate them back to the scope and objectives of the audit
- Develop recommendations for bringing programs and operations into compliance with goals and objectives and write up reports to document findings
- Communicate the results, findings and recommendations of audit projects through written reports and face-to-face presentations on a timely basis to the Senior Manager: Financial and Operational Audit
- Ensure that the audit is carried out on the eGRC system in line with process and methodology as mandated by the Group Internal Audit and Forensics function
- Perform control adequacy and effectiveness reviews of business processes
- Maintain all MTN and professional ethical standards and ensure internal audit activities are carried out in compliance with The International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and IIA Code of Ethics
- Ensure that IA methodology as prescribed by Group Internal Audit is strictly adhered to, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting financial and operational processes and procedures
- Provide a consulting service to business on governance and business risk issues
- Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies and strengthening management controls on management requests, strategic projects, high value tenders and ad hoc assignments.
- Perform risk identification of business operations to assess potential problems or control weaknesses and provide guidance on how to address identified shortcomings on an ad-hoc basis
- Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Accounting / Audit / Finance
- Chartered Accountant/CIA in related field (i.e. Audit) is advantageous
- Professional qualification in Information Systems Auditing is advantageous (CIA, CPA, CMA or CISA)
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- 6-13 years’ experience which includes;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an area of specialization coupled with supervising/managing others
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies

Description
- Manage approved budget in area of responsibility.
- Implement security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) developed by the National Office in the region.
- Ensure that all incidents are investigated and reported to the Regional Security Manager in line with approved procedures.
- Prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities.
- Conduct security surveys of critical facilities to determine level of security threat and exposure.
- Prioritize, assign, supervise, review the work and monitor performance of staff responsible for patrol services..
- Conduct security briefings and security awareness to security staff and MTNN staff respectively.
- Risk & Threat Assessment - implement risk management strategy that maximizes personnel safety from violence and the threat of violence in area of responsibility
- Personnel Security – ensure safety of MTNN personnel on personal security such as street crime, assault, robbery, kidnap in area of responsibility
- Protecting MTNN Assets – ensure safety of Employees, Business operations, Premises, Information, Network infrastructures in area of responsibility
- Security Liaison/ Intelligence – maintain a harmonious relationship and contacts with various cadre of various security agencies (Police, Military, SSS, etc) in area of responsibility. Also, exploit the relationship to gain relevant intelligence information that will ensure better protection for MTNN personnel and operations.
- Investigations - carry out specific investigations on wrongdoing by staff and criminal activities targeted at MTNN
- Respond to inquiries, investigate and resolve security related problems.
- Security Liaison/ Intelligence - maintain a harmonious relationship and contacts with various cadre of various security agencies (Police, Military, SSS, etc) in area of responsibility. Also, exploit the relationship to gain relevant intelligence information that will ensure better protection for MTNN personnel and operations.
- Participate in the selection of patrol staff, staff training, coaching and mentoring and work with employees to implement discipline procedures and execute tasks according to approved guidelines and procedures
- Ensure safety of MTNN personnel on personal security such as street crime, assault, robbery, kidnap in area of responsibility
- Drive Knowledge Management and Best Practice Sharing within own Unit/Department/Division/Enterprise-wide as required.

Description
- Assist in the execution of process and program audit plans, in order to ensure that processes and systems comply with company policies and procedures as well as statutory and regulatory policies covering processes and controls for Finance, Supply Chain, Contract Management, New Product Development and Commercial.
- Ensure MTNN is compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as an active member of the process and program audit team directly executing medium/high priority/risk internal audits: through conducting interviews, data and system analysis and testing, preparing database updates, providing status reports and preparing final audit reports on assignments carried out, in line with internal audit standards and methodologies.
- Provide analysis on process and program internal audit data, identifying weaknesses in internal controls, risks areas and trends, and reporting these to management, with recommendations on possible mitigations and enhancements.
- Assist in compiling final process and program internal audit reports for management review.
- Measure/evaluate compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements and the company's policies and procedures;
- Ensure capital projects or investments comply with internal control processes and report on any identified non-compliant processes
- Ensure compliance to internal policies and external regulations, which entails keeping up to date with changes in legislation.
- Carry out medium/high priority/risk financial and operations internal audit work as assigned in line with the audit plan and the standards and methodologies set by Internal Audit.
- Prepare/review final audit report, ensuring plan execution, consistency, quality and adherence to standards and methodologies.
- Assist with the development of methods, processes and systems to enhance effectiveness and meet organizational goals.
- Provides coaching to team members in all phases of the audit process.
- Assist the Senior Manager in the execution of technology systems and processes audit plans, in order to identify risks and vulnerabilities in the control areas and to ensure that processes and systems comply with company policies, and statutory and regulatory policies.
- Establish relationship with multiple departments, including low- and high-level management teams, accounting and finance personnel, and company executives in their pursuit of analytical data
