1.) Head of Delivery Experience
Main Responsibilities:
The Head of Delivery Experience will engage in a fully end to end perspective into the business of Jumia E-commerce and Jumia Services, and will be in charge of running and improving Jumia’s full logistics set-up for delivery associates, and as well as enhancing the customer and vendor experience.
- Do qualitative and quantitative research on the training needs of Delivery Associate team
- Develop and improve content material for driver training
- Design and conduct trainings
- Conduct role plays and focused group discussions with Delivery Associates
- To prepare and evaluate the progress of Delivery Associates at an individual level
- Ensuring that all assigned vehicles are properly maintained, which includes routine maintenance and vehicle cleanliness.
- Manage vehicle maintenance expenses to limit cost.
- Control and monitor driver-customer communication in line with customer Journey to ensure good customer experience.
- Implement the Delivery portion of “customer journey” in tandem with Jumia E-commerce – COO
- Contribute to process and planning with a focus on Delivery Associate needs and customer experience
- Monitor competitor’s delivery offerings and ensure Jumia delivery options are competitive and compelling.
- Regular and consistent feedback activities / mechanisms to ascertain the service levels of Delivery Associate agencies and encourage improvements.
- Coach, lead and develop drivers to support the delivery team and improve productivity on gate-to-gate basis.
- Build robust and scalable hiring methodology for Delivery Associates
- Enhance road safety and risk mitigation aspects of the Delivery Associates daily work life
- Managing and sustaining engagement on the Delivery Associate community and foster it to sustain at scale
- Tracking and administration of any incentive programs to create excitement

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
- 7 years minimum experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment with a strong focus on logistics or alternatives supply chain
- Clear understanding of Transportation Logistics network management, Retail or Customer Service processes and priorities
- Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred. Excel skills required

2.) Third Party Logistics Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and define the critical capabilities needed to support Jumia’s Supply Chain strategies. Think strategically and provide input in the requirements and design process.
- Audit charge backs related to Performance Team cartons.
- Develop process improvements to mitigate charge backs related to Performance Team Cartons.
- Update performance metrics and continually report progress to goal.
- Manage monthly/quarterly business reviews for Jumia’s 3PL partners.
- Audit 3PL billing to ensure accuracy.
- Drive a broad Business Continuity and Sustainability strategy.
- Roll out new lean process improvements at Jumia’s 3PL facilities
- Develops and executes an annual budget, including expense tracking and forecasting for distribution planning, cost controls, and revenue achievement according to productivity objectives for operational efficiency.
- Develops tracking and improvement strategies around Key Performance indicators such as on-time fulfillment, labor cost productivity per hour/unit/case, incident and safety rates, and inventory accuracy. Communicates these metrics to supply chain partners on a regular/set basis.
- Partners effectively with key stakeholders internally/externally to achieve maximum levels of productivity, ensuring that the business benefits from the lowest possible cost and best value.
- Ensures facility compliance with governmental and/ or other regulatory laws as communicated and directed by corporate leadership.
- Performs staff management of 3PL partner including training, performance evaluation, development and accountability.
- Work with key stakeholder’s vital transportation services
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain discipline or related experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Your position as Head of Commercial Operations & Revenue entails:
- Coordinating the execution of the Performance Steering Actions (PSAs) with the Seller Management team
- Giving daily and weekly visibility on key deviations versus Business Plan
- Defining, coordinating and executing Jumia promotional events, from Black Friday and jumia Anniversary to weekly commercial events
- Promoting the diversity on our websites by coordinating commercial teams and marketing teams to highlight strong categories level
- Ensuring we maintain our gross margin by controlling Jumia retail and marketplace margins as well as assessing the performance of each revenue streams (value added services, logistic services, etc)
- Approving retail requests as well as repricing inventory twice a week taking into account coverage, age, write off/back
- Ensuring Jumia is offering the lowest prices on its assortment by scanning, mapping and comparing Jumia and its competitors’ SKUs several times a week (“Phoenix Process”)
- Fostering deduplication on our platform (having a maximum number of vendors selling the same SKUs)
- Increasing the number of fast moving marketplace SKUs secured in Jumia Express to ensure a best in class commercial experience
- Centralizing all BI requests from local and central commercial teams to ensure commercial has specs for each development needed and receive the right level of prioritization by our BI team

- Ability to analyse large data sets to make strategic decisions
