1.) Medical Director

 

Job Purpose

• Under the supervision of the Chief Executive, the overall function of the Medical Diretor shal be to provide leadership and direction to medical and allied health staff to ensure the delivery of clinical services, protect and continuously improve on high quality of care and provide technical advice on clinical matters in the hospital.
• The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management and implementation within the hospital

Qualification Required & Experience

• Fellow of relevant postgraduate Medical college and in good standing with the Medical and Dental council, Ghana
• A minimum of 5 years post fellowship work experience in a reputable hospital, 2 years of which should be in management at senior level
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in public relations management
• Experience in policy and standards development
• Experience in service developments
• Research experience
• Experience in report writing

2.) Deputy Director For Public Affairs

 

Job Purpose

• To diligently project a good public image of the hospital and manage the concerns and expectations of clients and the general public

Qualification Required & Experience

• Senior Communications Professional (Not below the rank of Principal) with postgraduate qualification (Masters or above) in Public Relations/Communication Studies or related field and a minimum of 10 years working experience in the health sector, 5 years of which should be at senior management level or
• A bachelor's degree in public relations or communication studies with at least a postgraduate certificate in health communication and 15 years working experience in public relations/corporate affairs in a supervisory position, 10 years of which should be at senior management level
• Membership of the institute of public relations, Ghana journalists association and/or other relevant professional body may be an advantage
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in public relations management
• A broad knowledge base and experience of health sector policies and operating procedures
• Proven knowledge and expertise in public relations

Job Purpose

• To conduct and coordinate research activities related to health issues to improve the development of the hospital and its services

Qualification Required & Experience

• Senior Health Professional with postgraduate qualification in health related field (at least Master's Degree, Membership of professional college or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years working experience in management/supervisory position
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in health management
• Proven training and ability in the performance and management of research
• A broad knowledge base and experience of health sector policies and operating procedures
• Knowledge and experience in ethics, research and development

Job Purpose

• Lead in the development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) policies and programs in the hospital under the supervision of the Chief Executive

Qualification Required & Experience

• Senior Health Professional (Not below the rank of Principal) with a postgraduate qualification in a health-related field (at least a Masters degree, membership of professional college or equivalent and in good standing with the relevant regulatory body where applicable
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in health management
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in management/supervisory position
• A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in a health facility
• A broad knowledge base and experience of health sector policies and operating procedures
• Proven training, knowledge and experience of quality assurance in health care will be an advantage

Summary of job/function

• Under the supervision of the Chief Executive, the overall function of the Director of Administration shall be maintain and effective administrative support for the smooth running of the hospital and to provide direction, management and advice for the efficient management of administrative matters within Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

Qualification Required & Experience

• Postgraduate (Masters Degree or above) qualification in health service management or in a related field
• Membership of a relevant professional group/regulatory body will be an advantage
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in health management
• A minimum of 10 years working experience in the health sector, 5 years of which should be at senior management level
• Good computer literacy and skills
• Good flair for writing reports on the job

6.) Director of Nursing Services

 

Summary of job/function

• Under the supervision of the Chief Executive, the overall function of the Director of Nursing Services shall be to provide leadership and direction to the Nursing and Midwifery staff, and ensure high level of nursing/midwifery standards and provide technical advice on nursing/midwifery matters in the hospital
• The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management of nursing/midwifery professional practice and ensure thorough monitoring of nursing / midwifery activities, research, policy development and implementation within the hospital

Qualification Required & Experience

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with a postgraduate degree in a clinical or relevant area and in good standing with the nursing and midwifery council of Ghana.
• Registered Nurse or Midwife at the level of Chief Nursing Officer or a minimum of 3 years working experience at the level of Deputy Chief Nursing Officer.
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in management experience in policy and standards development
• Experience in service developments
• Experience in report writing
