1.) Main Receive Sub-Station Operator

Job Title: Main Receive Sub-Station Operator

Location: Ogijo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • An experienced candidate who has performed the role of a substation operator and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations, inspection, and monitoring of electrical substations.
  • The role involves controlling the flow of electricity through transmission and distribution systems by operating switch gear, transformers, circuit breakers and other high-voltage equipment.
  • The operator ensures compliance with safety regulations, systems reliability, and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Daily checklist for 132kv double breaker disconnector, Bay 1,2,3,4 & 5.
  • Daily checklist for ABB/CGL SF6 CB, Bay 1,2,3,4 & 5
  • General checklist of 132/33/11 kv Transformers Bay 1,2,3,4 & 5.
  • Daily checklist of 132/33kv indoor control relay panels (CPR) No 1 to 11
  • Daily checklist of 132/33kv indoor control relay panels (CPR) No 12 to 21.
  • Daily checklist of 132/33kv indoor control relay panels (CPR) No 22 to 40.
  • Daily checklist of Battery Charger Type BC 70/100.
  • Daily checklist of Battery Charger Type MRC 110-1600 makes before OPUS Power System.
  • Daily checklist 132/33/11kv Transformer oil temperature.
  • Checklist of 33kv Equipment Terminal Connector Temperature.

Requirement

  • WASSCE/NECO/Trade Test/OND in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in electrical substation operations.
  • Technical or vocational training in electrical systems or power systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and high-voltage equipment operation.
  • Certification in Substation Operations or electrical safety (Preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Preferred).

2.) Electrical Engineer - Project

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Project

Location: Ogijo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • An experienced Electrical Engineer who is responsible for switchyard erection/testing & commissioning" positioninvolves physical installation, thorough testing, and final activation of electrical switchyard equipment within a substation, requiring a comprehensive understanding of high voltage power systems, safety protocols, and detailed technical knowledge to ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably according to design specifications.

Responsibilities

  • 60MVA, 132/33KV switchyard erection/testing & commissioning.
  • Erection /resting & commissioning of 132JV & 33KV indoor/outdoor switchgears like circuit breaker, disconnector, instrument transformers, surge arrestor, power transformer, earthing reactor, wave trap/LMU etc.
  • HT cable laying, termination & HV testing. Design specifications of cables, indoor -outdoor switchgears, power transformers, earthing reactor etc.
  • Erection of power transformers which includes installation of radiator, conservator, marshaling box, conservator & associated piping, bushing, OLTC & DM box, MOG/Bucholz/PRV /breather etc. Use of oil filtration machine & oil test kit like BDV test kit, DGA/PPM test kit.
  • Installation 11KV & 33KV Indoor VCB Panels, protection & control relay panels, NGR panels etc. Wiring of these panels & configuration /testing of Protection relays.
  • Read GA Drawing. Assembly drawing, schematic drawings, P & ID, Cable schedules & termination details, key erection diagram etc.
  • Earthing, lightning protection, & illumination work of switchyard.

Requirements

  • HND/B.Eng./B.Tech. in electrical engineer
  • 4 -6 years’ experience in 132/33 switchyard erection testing and commissioning.
  • Candidate must be familiar with NERC grid code, NESISR guidelines and IEC standards.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

  • An experienced candidate who has performed the role of Mechanical Engineer and will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal plant or facility operations.
  • The technician works to minimize equipment downtime, extend time asset, and support safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out mechanical routine and breakdown maintenance of all Gen-sets and auxiliaries.
  • To carry out routine checks as per standard supervision route and checklist and take corrective actions.
  • To carry out troubleshooting and root cause analysis and preventive action plans.
  • Assist Mechanical maintenance task and ensure timely completion of work with high standard.
  • Preparation of work reports and standard formats of measurement records.
  • Analysis of measurement and vibration records and suggest corrective actions.
  • Preventive maintenance planning, scheduling and implementation.
  • Implementation of the work assigned on day-to-day activities.
  • Follow work procedure as mentioned in manuals.

Requirement

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering and industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Respond to emergency breakdown if needed.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g. OSHA, ISO, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
  • Use of personal protective equipment is required.

  • The Solar Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems.

Job Summary

  • An experienced candidate who has performed the role of Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, implementing maintenance strategies, and supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.

Responsibilities

  • To make engine and auxiliaries ready for start at any time.
  • To carry out checking of engine, alternator, air compressors, air filters, GRU, gas station, radiator etc., as per the daily check list.
  • To take all readings on auxiliaries and inform if there is any deviation to shift engineer and correct it as per engineer’s advice.
  • To fill in the daily logbook and maintain records.
  • To carry out inspection of engine and auxiliaries during starting of shift and every hour.

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance engineering.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Good problem-solving and analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g. OSHA, ISO, etc.)
  • Maintenance management systems (CMMS) are a plus.
