1.) Indirects Sourcing Executive

Job Title: Indirects Sourcing Executive

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • The Indirects Sourcing Executive will act as the interface with local budget holders, ensuring the delivery of both their service requirements and those of procurement.
  • They will undertake indirect sourcing activities for a number of categories that are managed at end market level (i.e. not globally or regionally managed).

Responsibilities
Your key Responsibilities will include:

  • To manage the customer relationship and all aspects of procurement related customer service for all Indirects and as may be required.
  • To Provide and enable market insight and benchmark across indirect categories. Analyse financial and market data, to build and maintain knowledge on all aspects of supply related external environment, on behalf of our internal customers.
  • To identify and Lead innovation to drive cost reduction.
  • To manage the local customer relationship for those categories being managed at end market level, shaping demand and compliance where appropriate.
  • To deliver end market contracts in conjunction with Legal
  • To adopt the most cost-effective purchasing processes to achieve best total acquisition cost and balance the requirements of internal customers & Procurement.
  • To challenge demand and requirements and manage customer expectations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Management of procurement strategies in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for implementing regional, global and geographic category strategies and sourcing plans at end market level, ensuring the business is compliant with procurement policy and actively proactively managing any compliance issues.

Key Success Factors:

  • Delivery of service level expectations (supply, quality, innovation, risk management)
  • Provide a comprehensive sourcing plan with clear timelines.
  • Conduct successful negotiations to deliver/exceed expected results
  • Delivery of robust commercial contacts consistent with BAT’s standard terms & conditions
  • Customer compliance to Supply Chain/Procurement processes and policies

  • Successful delivery when working with a virtual team.

Requirements
What are we looking for:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant Business discipline
  • Fluency in English
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in sourcing and / or account management.

2.) Merchandiser

Job Title: Merchandiser

Location: Nigeria (Flexible Location)

Job Summary

  • You will be a member of the Trade Marketing & Distribution department, which is responsible for the implementation of the route to market strategy.
  • This includes ensuring product availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality, and retail pricing are properly implemented and monitored.
  • The job is also about identification of new opportunities and the initiation, development, and deployment of trade programmes.

Responsibilities
Your day-to-day activity is to:

  • Ensure the effective and efficient execution of marketing activities in the defined territory and extended coverage area
  • Serve as part of a ‘Tactical Response Team’, positioned to address situations arising within the market, as well as business needs. In this
  • regard, direction to be provided by Area Manager, TMDM or Regional Manager
  • Execute basic TM&D activities in the outlets located within the territory in order to meet company objectives as described in the cycle plan (visibility, availability, freshness, consumer contacting etc)
  • Achieve volume and distribution targets through direct selling (Top-up stock), management of the rural wholesale customer and monitoring of van sales.
  • Improve the company’s corporate image by operating at the highest business ethics, environmental, health and safety standards using the IMP as a guide.

Your People Responsibility will be:

  • Supporting Rural wholesale business expansion by providing Trade marketing support for the DSS rep attached.
  • Engaging local government officials, transport/ traffic agencies and other stakeholders to avoid disruption of BAT operations in the
  • defined rural territory.
  • Supporting Van Reps to achieve high performance by developing new routes and giving TM&D support to existing outlets.
