A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Internal Control Officer
2.) Station Manager (Retail Outlet)
3.) Station Cashier (x9)

1.) Internal Control Officer

Job Title: Internal Control Officer

Location: Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements the Internal Control programs to ascertain and report on degree of compliance with company-approved policies and operating procedures, laws, regulations, and code of good business practices.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly internal control activity reports and submits to the Team Lead, Internal Control for consolidation.
  • Reports significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risks, governance issues, and other matters needed or requested by the Executive Management.
  • Perform prepayment audits.
  • Carry out monthly/Adhoc inventory count and periodic fixed asset verification exercises and submit reports to the Team Lead, Internal Control
  • Follows up on the implementation of the audit/control recommendations and ensures that improvements are made to reduce the residual risks to appropriate levels.
  • Performs any other functions as may be assigned by the Team Lead, Internal Control and Group Head, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance.





Requirements

  • Qualification: B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Economics, Banking, and Finance or related courses.
  • Relevant professional certifications e.g. Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Experience: 2-5 years’ experience as an Internal Control Officer in a logistics or fleet company.

2.) Station Manager (Retail Outlet)

Job Title: Station Manager (Retail Outlet)

Location: Lagos
Job type: Full time

Job Summary

  • To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of operations at the station, through effective utilization of human and material resources, and ensuring that staff at the station adhere to the rules/regulations/ policies that govern conducts in Rainoil.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitors and evaluates station operational and marketing results and develops interventions to promote business development and growth.
  • Evaluation of daily sales, meter reading, dipping and lodgements.
  • Compiles and analyses periodic sales records and consolidates such reports to the Head, Retail Sales.
  • Maintains excellent standards in all retail activity, driving sales and profitability through the effective deployment and development of station supervisors and cashiers in line with approved budgets.
  • Coordinates both the sales of white products, the lubricants at the stations and liaising with the marketing team to ensure patronage is high in line with budgets and projections.
  • Implements HSE Standards and controls in the retail stations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Second-Class Upper University Degree (B.Sc) / HND Upper Credit in respective areas of study as indicated.
  • 1 - 3 years experience on the role.
  • Honesty, commitment, hardworking and self-motivation.

3.) Station Cashier (x9)

Job Title: Station Cashier

Locations: Onitsha - Anambra, Benin - Edo, Jalingo - Taraba and Asaba, Agbot, Auchi-Agenebode - Delta

Job Summary

  • To manage the petty cash inflow and outflow of Rainoil’s stations and depots as well as maintaining accurate records/books on transactions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the availability of funds to meet day-to-day operational petty cash expenses and emergencies.
  • Maintains records to allow easy disbursement, reconciliation, and replenishment.
  • Processes expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper accountability of all cash advances.
  • Creates and maintains records of cash requests and disbursements.
  • Reconciles all received cash, which have been recorded in the petty cash book, with expenses.
  • Processes payment for accounts and issuing receipts.
  • Keeps records of amounts received and paid, and regularly checking the cash balance against this record.
  • Collects money from bank for safe keeping before reimbursements.
  • Files all documents concerning cash payment and collection.
  • Responds to queries regarding approvals, payment limits and deadlines for retirements etc.
  • Retires the various imprest accounts.
  • Prepares daily and weekly collections and payment summary reports for review by the station supervisor.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Minimum of an BSc / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
  • Minimum of One (1) year work experience in a similar role.
