1.) NPE Residency Programme 2022 (Commerce)
Location: Lagos
Description
- The NPE Residency Program (NPE-RP) is NPE’s new way of helping Global tech entrepreneurs make their ideas a reality.
- Through the course of this 6-month program, you get the opportunity to work with experienced tech builders to ideate and test our new innovative products, while partnering with mentors who will support you with a combination of real-world experience, design thinking processes, and access to Meta’s resources.
- You will be trained in design thinking processes while building new products through a capstone project, which is part of the curriculum.
- Our ideal resident has the ability to work collaboratively in small teams to research a target audience, ideate, prototype, and bring key stakeholders along on the journey.
- One area of focus for us is building impactful zero to one products that solve important commerce and SMB owners’ problems in Nigeria.
- The successful resident will have deep interest in exploring problems and ideating solutions around the commerce theme.
- This effort is focused on addressing user needs for business management tools, product discovery and promotion, delivery and fulfilment.
- Applicants must be interested in the interplay of technology and business development and should have a knowledge of the local business ecosystem and some of the challenges small businesses face.
- We operate from the principle of building local before thinking global, and primarily view Africa as a multi-country market starting with its largest economy, Nigeria.
The successful resident will collaborate closely with the resident manager and other cross functional teams to:
Responsibilities
- Conduct formative research to identify and fine-tune the right urban youth latent needs or problems.
- Design and execute iterative design research needed to mould early product ideas into testable prototypes.
- Conduct creative evaluative research to improve, refine and prepare the early prototypes for build.
- Collaboratively develop and execute research roadmaps for the latent needs and problems
- Lead the various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development lifecycle
- Plan and execute systems mapping, customer journeys and service blueprints
- Facilitate workshops with different user panels, clients and stakeholders
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable
- Create new interactive prototypes, test and refine them with users.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and fast iteration through feedback and user testing
- Bachelor's Degree in product development related fields such as HCI, Computer Science, Business, Design, Psychology, Social Sciences etc.
- 2+ years of experience in building consumer products in and for Nigeria
- Experience in a start-up or a fast-paced product development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Communication skills to influence stakeholders and leaders throughout the design journey.
- Experience with data and utilising data to define and support hypothesess
- Able to showcase your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artefacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Some experience with prototyping tools e.g. Figma, Sketch, Framer, Balsamiq, InVision or similar.
- Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audience.
- Experience in human-centred design, product design, UX strategy, UX research, product management and software development.
- Deep passion and proximity to a product opportunity that serves the needs of Nigerian consumers, as evidenced by their portfolio of projects.
- Relevant experience in taking a novel idea from concept to delivering a new customer product.

Our goal is to innovate from within Meta by testing and iterating on a diverse set of products, each with their own hypotheses, people problems and target audiences, that can eventually mature into meaningful new opportunities for Meta. The NPE Residency Program (NPE-RP) is NPE’s new way of enabling Global tech entrepreneurs to make their ideas a reality.

- They will have a passion for playing and making games and a deep understanding of several aspects of design including levels, control, retention and game-feel. We operate from the principle of building local before thinking global, and primarily view Africa as a multi-country market starting with its largest economy, Nigeria.
- The successful resident will collaborate closely with the resident manager and other cross functional teams to:
Responsibilities
- Conduct formative research to identify and fine-tune the right user needs around social gaming in Nigeria.
- Proactively identify opportunities to translate the user needs into highly engaging features and products.
- Design and execute iterative design research needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes.
- Conduct creative evaluative research to improve, refine and prepare the early prototypes for build.
- Plan and execute systems mapping, customer journeys and service blueprints.
- Facilitate workshops with different user panels, clients and stakeholders.
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.
- Create new interactive prototypes, test and refine them with users.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Product Development related fields such as HCI, Computer Science, Business, Design, Psychology, Social Sciences etc.
- 2+ years of experience in designing and prototyping games within or outside game engines.
- Experience in early-stage concept development and creating games from first ideas.
- Experience in a start-up or a fast-paced product development environment.

- Experience with rapid prototyping and fast iteration through feedback and user testing.
- Solid knowledge of industry trends on game genres, gameplay, as well as development and financial models.

- Relevant experience in taking a novel idea from concept to delivering a new customer product.
- Experience developing games for mobile devices (iOS and Mobile).

4.) Reseller Solutions Manager

- The Reseller Solutions Manager for Meta’s Sub Saharan Africa team is a strategic and enthusiastic solution-driver who puts our channel partners at the core of everything we do.
- This is an outstanding opportunity to manage our partners to drive business growth for Meta, serve as a consultative product expert, and lead media planning, strategy and measurement to our partners.
- This role is responsible for building capability of partners around Meta products and solutions, enabling them to be our extended sales force in the local market to scale business for Meta.
- Success in this position requires strong presentation, consultative sales and analytical skills, focus on solution, excel at working with internal cross-functional partners, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment delivering against tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities
- In partnership with Reseller Partner, identify, create, and implement marketing solutions grounded on achieving business goals for our advertisers (clients and agencies)
- Serve as external product consultant educating Reseller Partner teams and advertisers on product solutions and driving product adoption
- Use data and insights to guide strategy and implementation of Meta solutions
- Manage, guide and steer the Reseller Partner and its outreach to advertisers (e.g. clients, media agencies, marketing partners, etc.) and mutually drive their business growth to meet quota and KPI’s and collaborate with a diverse group of internal cross functional teams (XFN)
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders and be a trusted partner to our Reseller Partner
- Enable Reseller Partner and advertisers to elevate core capability and accelerate business transformation with talent and martech development to sustain long-term business excellence
- Enable Reseller Partner and advertisers to achieve operational excellence including and not limited to system debug, troubleshooting, ads review and case escalations
- Guide Reseller Partner teams to educate, advise and influence advertisers and partners to follow Meta platform policy and sustain a healthy revenue growth
- Partner, oversee and enhance overall reseller business and operational efficiency
- Manage complex work streams with internal cross-functional partners and product teams
- Guide media and creative strategy, planning, and implementation of campaigns to deliver against KPIs
- Outline and oversee measurement strategy, tracking, and results delivery
- Identify optimization opportunities for improving performance.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience working directly with marketing, media, consulting, and/or companies with channel partner relationships, with demonstrated leadership experience
- Be effective and creative in problem-solving, with capable decision-making and prioritization skills
- Experience in working effectively with XFN teams and all levels of management
- Ability to manage complex work streams while maintaining strict attention to details
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively on a team
- Ability to confidently present to external clients
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, where necessary
- High intellectual curiosity and hunger to learn in an ambiguous environment
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis, feel comfortable leveraging data to optimize solutions for partners
