1.) Electrical Instrumentation Technician

 

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Function: Operations
Reports to: Engineering Services Manager
Seniority Level: Non-Management

Role Positioning and Objectives

  • The electrical and instrumentation technician ensures the reduction of breakdown on Quality and Q.A laboratory equipment and achieves maximum availability and efficiency through effective provision of support to all instruments attached to production machineries in line with best practices, at an effective cost, in a hygienic and safe working environment.
  • The job holder is responsible for the day–to-day technical activities on Quality instruments in SMD / PMD /FMD/Q.A and attending to daily electrical services job request.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Provide Instrumentation support to production machines in SMD ,FMD & PMD
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and efficiency through effective maintenance, calibration and defect handling.
    Implement weekly CIL and monthly maintenance and ensure proper documentation of maintenance
  • Ensure calibration is carried out on all instruments as per schedule and update all calibration documentation
  • Implement EHS audit recommendations on maintenance issues.
  • Ensure spares are planned and ready for use according to machine planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct daily downtime analysis of all equipment and implement agreed actions
  • Drive for continous improvement .
    Install new and existing equipment during upgrades
  • Ensure adequate communications among team members.
  • Provide in-house training to manufacturing staff when the need arises to improve technical skill.
  • Vendor and stakeholder engagement.

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum of HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes and computer literacy.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related working experience in FMCG manufacturing company.
  • Good verbal and communication skills needed.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills required.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • Must be a Team player.
  • Knowledge of programming will be an added advantage (i.e. SQL).

2.) Project Manager - Sustainable Agriculture

 

Location: Lagos & field, Nigeria
Seniority Level: Management
Function: Legal and External Affairs
Reports to: General Manager, BATN Foundation

Role Positioning and Objectives

  • This role is part of the Legal and External Affairs – Corporate Affairs Sub Function.
  • The role is responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the Sustainable Agriculture projects that exist in Lagos and in the country.
  • The Project Manager will go in the field, monitor the progress of the projects, and report the progress to relevant Stakeholders, whilst ensuring that the projects meet their objectives in the set deadlines.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Develop, supervise, and evaluate Sustainable Agriculture projects
  • Manage projects with the established budgets and deliverables
  • Represent the Organization at national and international meetings and conferences
  • Develop and negotiate effective working relationships/consensus with development partners and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare, edit and present project reports as needed.
  • Assist with the development of sustainable agriculture policy work.
  • Assuring quality control of project activities, including supporting fielded teams, reviewing work deliverables, and providing value-added feedback.
  • Recruit collaborators and partners for BATN Foundation-related work/projects.

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • An advanced University Degree in Agriculture or in a related field.
  • 6-8 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in sustainable agriculture or agri-business development, including project management.
  • Experience in the practice and transfer of information on sustainable agriculture is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in project conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation, including developing project proposals, in the non-profit, government and private sectors would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, depending on the situation.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Experience with Monitoring/Supervising and Evaluation of projects and collaboration with a highly skilled professional staff
  • Must be willing and ready to travel.

3.) Electronics Specialist

 

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Seniority Level: Non-Management
Function: Operations
Reports To: Production Engineering Manager

Role Positioning And Objectives

  • To ensure the reduction of breakdown on SMD (Secondary Manufacturing Department) machines and achieve maximum availability and efficiency through effective maintenance and provision of electrical support to all SMD production machineries in line with best practices, at an effective cost, in an hygienic and safe working environment.

What You Will Be Accountable For
Operational results:

  • Provide in-house training to electro technical staff when the need arises in order to raise the technical skill level.
  • Provide technical support to production machines in SMD and other BAT Factories.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and efficiency through effective electrical maintenance
  • Implement SMD machines weekly cleaning and monthly electro technical maintenance, as well as ensure proper documentation.
  • Implement EHS audit recommendations on maintenance issue.
  • Attend to technical call out request from SMD Cell Managers
  • Ensures spares are planned and ready for use according to machine planned and preventative electro technical maintenance schedules.
  • Implementation of downtime analysis of SMD machines and uses information to improve maintenance.
  • Prepare for and present the learning and development solutions that addresses identified learning needs of individuals or group.
  • Adapt learning strategy per individual according to learning styles that will successfully address identified needs and optimize the learning investments
  • Assist to maintain the condition of machine and equipment required for learning, also to ensure the desired outcomes at all times.
  • Lead and attend to all Projects and NPI from electrical areas and deliver all electrical section of initiatives.

Leadership results:

  • Provide on the job coaching on fault finding and diagnoses to the Electro technical maintenance staff
  • Provide in-house training Electrotechnical maintenance staff as and when required to improve Technical Skill,
  • Think ahead and prioritise effectively to meet company/team targets and goals.

Management results:

  • Monitor machine down time, interpret information in order to make decision and reduce month on month
  • Monitor Product Quality and improve month on month
  • Attend to technical call out request from Production Engineering Manager when the need arise

Innovation results:

  • Devise novel solutions to problems
  • Installing new and existing equipment upgrade
  • Continuously looking for better ways of carrying out maintenance process

Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge

  • HND or Degree in Electrical/Electronic field
  • 5-8 years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment within the FMCG sector
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC, automation processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build cordial relationships with technical staff & other shop floor operators as an integrated member of both the technical team and Shop floor operations
  • Solution oriented person
  • Ability to deliver trainings and presentations
