1.) Business Development Manager (Resource Mobilization)
ROLE PURPOSE
• Under the supervision of the Country Director, the purpose of the Business Development Manager is to set the overall strategic direction, coordinate and be accountable for all grants activities at country level.
• This position is to lead the Plan International Ghana Resource Mobilization drive in the mobilization of grant related resources and manage the design and implementation of a robust resource mobilization unit/department to increase grant portfolio.
• He/she will be responsible for growth, high quality and timeliness in communications with donors and managing effective working relationships with National Offices and bilateral and multilateral organizations at country level.
• S/He will also support grant project teams to ensure that grants are implemented and reported in line with donor/Funding Bundle Agreement Document (FAD).Contractual
DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
• The Business Development Manager manages the Business Development Unit (BDU). The BDU is responsible for identifying funding opportunities in line with Plan International Ghana programme priorities, writing successful grants proposal in coordination with programmes and operations colleagues and strengthening systems and processes for effective grant management and Donor retention.
S/he will:
• Sets out the overall strategic direction in Business Development, leads and coordinates country teams to moblise high value grants resources and Mobilised more than 75million Euros over 5 years
• Supports the delivery of high quality programmes /project that advances the rights of children especially girls and youth
• Supports strategic Planning and Management of grants resources to implement Country Strategy sustainable.
• key Business staff report directly to the position.
• Provide capacity building to the Country Office BDU staff, comprising but not limited to a Grants Coordinator, Local Fund Raising Specialist and Partnership Specialists
• Maintain donor portfolio development in Ghana with multiplicity of donors (institutional, Foundations, Trust, Corporates and High Networth Individuals etc
• Works proactively with National Organization (NOs) counterparts to identify and win appropriate grant opportunities.
• Oversee and coordinate the development, writing and packaging of successful grant proposals from concept through to award.
• Transform the BDU into a team by providing sound and steady leadership in management the team in order to produce world class results.
Qualification Required & Experience
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in Grants Acquisition and Management and Business Development/ Fund Raising
• Preferably At least 7 years work experience with international development or humanitarian organizations.
• Demonstrated track record developing successful funding proposals for major institutional donors.
• Capacity building experience in project design, implementation, reporting, and evaluation.
• Preferably knowledge of funding cycles, strategic priorities, and requirements of major donors such as GAC, EU, USAID, JICA, GF, MoFA, World Bank, Africa Development Bank etc.

2.) Local Fundraising Specialist
ROLE PURPOSE
• This position requires strong analytical, report-writing, negotiation, and communication, skills to be able to perform at the optimum level. • Postholder will work with the Business Development team focusing on local funding raising and partnerships opportunities that contribute to the overall fund-raising and partnerships efforts of Plan International Ghana.
• In addition to pursuing local fundraising, post-holder will initiate and coordinate the establishment and development of relations with state structures, international organizations, civil society organisations and private sector structures on an equal footing within a formal framework, mutually agreed collaborations with shared objectives and responsibilities that would enable Plan International Ghana to:
Promote the values of Plan International, understand its own barriers and catalysts and those of partners on gender inequality, learn from others and jointly define appropriate indigenous solutions to reduce inequalities in favor of girls;
• Contribute to the mobilisation of civil society and capacity building for civil society organisations for the realisation of children's rights advocacy and other influencing activities;
• Mobilize resources for the implementation of projects and programs;
• Ensure the sustainability of interventions and the consolidation of achievements.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Development Studies/Social Sciences or related area
• Have at least 4-6 years working experience in a related field
• Has good understanding of contemporary resource mobilization and management in the Ghanaian and global context
• Experience in Gender, Advocacy and partnerships Development related issues.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Internet Software and Power Point)

3.) Supply Chain Specialist-Southern PIIA
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• This section is critical for clarifying expectations of the role, providing the framework for its relationship with colleagues and providing areas of accountability against which performance can be managed.
• This should include a series of brief statements that define the end results required. e.g. drive, contribute, identify, manage, responsible for, advise/coach, build, develop, provide, conduct, oversee, establish, participate etc.
• Statements should ideally be worded so that they will lead to thoughts of measurement. For example, it is better to state something like "achieve maintenance standards" than "undertake maintenance". The former leads to a measure against the maintenance standards.
“What” is done and “why”, but not “how”; include indicators for success
• Support the PIIAM in implementing procurement management systems, including purchasing and tender/bidding procedures, sourcing quotations for goods and services based on approved requisitions originating program teams and departments in line with Donor and Plan International procurement guidelines.
• Support in the procurement process by preparing invitation to bid, short listing or prequalification; preparation of tabulation of technical bids and submission of such bids to the Selection Committee for review.
• Contact suppliers for additional information required by Selection Committee Members.
• Undertake periodic local market surveys in collaboration with the Plan Ghana supply chain unit to guide Selection Committee Members’ deliberations, decisions and or recommendations and also maintain a roster of suppliers/contractors for the purpose of fair and competitive bidding process/systems in line with the Plan Ghana process and approved vendor list.
• Conduct annual vendor assessment and use information from the report to update the master vendor list
• Process the purchase and supply of goods and materials for the PIAAM as per the Operational Manual (OM) and the Procurement Guidelines and procedures to ensure value for money is obtained at all times.
• Ensure that all vendor details, requisitions, price comparison, purchase order are entered in SAP
• Coordinate the preparation and processing of bidding documents for public tender offers to ensure a fair and transparent process for securing the services of consultants and contractors
• Produce and maintain an up-to date supplier database and price list for easy access to the required information that would ensure prompt procurement of goods and materials for program activities.
• Follow each stage of the supply operations from the submission of purchase requisition up to delivery in-country in coordination with the Administrative assistant for receipt of goods and verification and matching in comparison with goods receipt notes and delivery notes.
• Responsible for drafting contract agreement in line with laid down processes
• Maintain a schedule of all contract agreement for prompt renewal, if required.
• Maintain a schedule of fleet movement
• Provide oversight supervision of drivers
• Fulfil Plan’s Child Protection Policy at all times to safeguard and protect the child at all times without any reports or incidents of child abuse.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the attainment of organizational goals.
Communication and Working relationships
• Keeps and maintain a high contact with contractors, service providers and suppliers for the provision of goods, material, equipment, utilities repairs and maintenance that would ensure Plan receives value for money.
• Maintains a high contact with all country office staff to receive and process requests for procurement related services.
• Maintains medium contact with staff in the program unit office to offer support, information, influence and or reasoning with regards to procurement related issues.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of academic qualification of Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
• At least 4-6 years progressive work experience in a similar position in an INGO environment.
• A member of Procurement professional body such as CIPs, ISM, MGIPs etc is an added advantage
• Solid knowledge of Procurement systems and practices, policies and procedures
• Good understanding of donor rules and regulations is a plus
• Strong negotiation skills

4.) Alumni Network Coordinator
ROLE PURPOSE
• The Alumni Network coordinator will support Ghana’s influencing agenda by engaging former sponsored children and program participants who are 18 years and above and carried out activities in line with Plan International Ghana’s new country strategy and the mission and vision of the organization.
DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
Alumni Engagement & Influencing
• Help amplify Plan International’s purpose and contribute to achieving Ghana’s target of 100 million reasons through social media advocacy/campaign and offline activities.
• Support and shape the activities of the alumni network to influence policy change that advances opportunities for young people and equality for girls.
• Act as key point of contact and liaise with former sponsored children and program participants and keep track of their activities.
• Ensure up to-date database of the alumni network with relevant data of members
• Develop a strategy to reach out to former sponsored children and program participants/club members who are 18 years and above and onboard them to the alumni network.
• Help set up “PU alumni chapter” across the various operational areas/program units of Plan International Ghana.
• Ensure effective participation of alumni in youth-led activities/projects in sponsorship communities.
• Liaise with the sponsorship coordinators and community facilitators at PU level and put in place mechanism to ensure smooth transition on-boarding of graduated Sponsored children to the alumni network.
• Share update on alumni activities in Ghana with the Regional Alumni Coordinator.
Innovation & Initiatives
• Help develop innovative campaign/advocacy activities to help address issues relating to children and gender equality.
• Prepare and submit yearly alumni activities with budget to the sponsorship manager for consideration in the organization’s fiscal year and budgeting.
• Help with implementation of the country strategy of Plan International Ghana particularly, thematic areas that focuses on youth.
• Brainstorm and share innovative ideas and initiatives with the head of programs for consideration.
• Crowdsource ideas from Alumni on country-specific problems and issues.
Social Media & Advocacy/Campaign
• Manage all official social media handles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) of the Alumni Network
• Help penetrate the social media community and extend Plan International Ghana’s reach of influence through strategic activities.
• Influence young people to campaign against inequality and advocate for gender equality via social media.
• Lead social media campaign/advocacy to advance children’s rights and equality for Girls.
• Help develop social media advocacy/campaign ideas and materials.
• Organize series of advocacy/campaign activities on topical issues of concern to young people especially girls.
• Collaborate with other youth-led groups and organize virtual or offline activities on identified issue/problem or issues relating to Gender based violence, SRHR, gender equality etc.
• Prepare monthly or quarterly action plan for alumni activities
• Prepare monthly report on social media engagement and activities with analytics on performance of social media posts.
• Help increase likes/followers of all official social media pages/handles of the alumni network
Media & Communication
• Support in developing ideas on how to use the media for influencing and to engage young people on key issues of interest to them.
• Share networking and job opportunities with the alumni network
• Support in creating multimedia content for alumni advocacy/campaign activities
• Support the sponsorship unit with video content for sponsorship marketing
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
• The Alumni Network coordinator will report to the sponsorship manager and will work closely with the Youth Engagement Facilitator.

Desirable
• A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, social sciences, development studies, gender studies or related field.
