1.) Driver/ Dispatch Rider
Job Description
• The Driver-Dispatch Rider will be responsible for the safe transit of the Academy’s passengers or Documents/goods to and from their designated destinations
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Transport officers to and from official functions
• Transport students to and from GAAS events Deliver packages to recipients in a timely manner
• Pick up office purchases or other administrative needs
• Utilize navigation apps to find the most optimal route
• Maintain a travel log to record work hours, mileage and repair records
• Collect and deliver mail and other communications as directed
• Ensure permits, licenses and vehicle insurance are renewed
• Perform routine maintenance of vehicle(s), such as monitoring fluid levels and arranging for periodic servicing.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean always and fully equipped.
• Manage fuel consumption and replenishment
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level /General Business Certificate Examination with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics
• Any additional certification in Driving from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• Must have Professional Drivers License ‘C’
• Must have Professional Riders’ License ‘A’
• Must have at least three years of relevant experience
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or relevant position
• Familiarity with relevant routes
• Must enjoy driving, motorcycling and be a skilled rider
• Ability to communicate, read and write
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good manners and comportment

2.) Cleaner/ Groundskeeper/ Messenger
Job Description
• The Cleaner/Groundskeeper/Messenger will be responsible for keeping the GAAS Secretariat clean and the offices, conference rooms and compound in orderly condition
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Clean office premises, kitchenettes, toilet areas and replenish toiletries
• Empty and clean bins.
• Spot cleaning of spillages.
• Clean desks, seats and skirting boards.
• Perform menial/manual duties Keep the office environment clean .
• Perform horticultural duties, landscaping and maintaining the grounds. Collaborate with Security Officer to keep the office premises secured
• Perform clerical tasks, such as sorting, sending mail and running related errands
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and orders new materials as needed
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of BECE
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills.
• High integrity and good ethical standards

3.) Security Officer
Job Description
• The Security Officer will be responsible for securing the GAAS premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring and inspecting building, equipment and vehicles
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring movements to and from the premises during office hours
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to guard against theft, property damage, violence, infraction of rules, intrusion, etc.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting theft, unauthorized persons, illegal or suspicious activities, unusual occurrences
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• Applicant must possess a minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE Ordinary Level /General Business Certificate Examination with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics
• Any additional certification in a security related area from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience
• Vigilant, alert and always aware of one’s surroundings

• Physically and medically fit and within a healthy weight range

4.) Assistant Publications Officer
Job Description
• The Assistant Publications Officer will assist the Publications Officer in the production of all GAAS publications policy papers, and related documents, and in the development and maintenance of a digital/e-book publishing
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Maintain the house formatting and design style guide Assist with the organization of manuscripts
• Create design concepts and layouts
• Design and produce a wide range of promotional items, such as leaflets, annual reports, brochures, postcards, banner stands and adverts
• Contribute to the development of new publications working with the Publications Officer
• Develop and manage the Academy’s digital/e-books platform
• Liaise with the Communications and Accounting teams to maximise a blended approach between print and digital publications
• Ensure that all materials available online for the public are fully accessible and in appropriate formats
• Oversee the mailing of publications where necessary
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• At least HND from a recognized Public Institution or First Degree in Graphic Design, Publishing, Creative Arts or related fields
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of design principles, tools, and techniques
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination
• Artistic ability and creativity are essential
• Knowledge of the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
• Microsoft Office Suite software skills
• Should possess the necessary knowledge and skills for the use of graphic design software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, etc.
• A general interest in computers and an aptitude for learning new technology will be beneficial
• Ability to effectively present ideas-both verbally and visually
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills

5.) Multimedia Support Officer
Job Description
• The ICT & Multimedia Support Officer will assist Staff and Principal Officers in using all forms of ICT and other Multimedia equipment in the Secretariat
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Assist Staff and Principal Officers in using all forms of ICT and other Multimedia equipment in the Secretariat
• Install and maintain the Academy’s computer systems and network install, adjust, and operate audio, video, and related equipment to record, edit and transmit video conferences and multimedia presentations
• Conduct daily backup operations, diagnose, repair, or recommend for repair and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computers and audio-visual systems
• Set up computer equipment for users, performing and ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems and appropriate software
• Provide technical assistance and support to users, investigate and resolve their hardware and software problems, and train them in the proper use of hardware or software
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual System Engineering Studies or related field
• Must have at least four years of relevant experience

• Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair studio sound and lighting equipment

6.) Communications Officer
Job Description
• The Communications Officer will be responsible for all the Academy’s communications and will report directly to the Executive Secretary
• He /She will be responsible for developing and implementing the Academy’s communication plan and for coordinating all the Academy’s public events.
• The Communications Officer will also be responsible for publicizing the Academy’s news and everts on all social media platforms and for drafting content for the website and social media
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Develop and implement the Academy’s communication plan and coordinate all the Academy’s public events
• Publicize the Academy’s news and events on social media platforms
• Draft content for the Academy’s website and social media
• Build and manages various aspects of the Academy’s social activities
• Build and manage GAAS website and social media sites in consultation with relevant officers
• Develop newsworthy content out of GAAS events and complete relevant material for composing the Academy’s Annual Report
• Manage the Academy’s visibility and project its research capabilities, accomplishments and contributions to national discourse in both traditional and new media
• Establish exemplary relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• Hold a Master’s degree in Journalism. Communications, Public Relations Marketing or related
• Understand effective graphic design, branding principles and the use of internet and social media platforms as a means of communication
• Have excellent written and verbal communication including the ability to craft written and media content related to the Academy’s educational policy and advisory functions
• Be charismatic and dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to handle and prioritize tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Must have Microsoft Office Suite software skills & Wining knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software specifically, In Design, Photoshop illustrator, etc.) and Content Management System

7.) Internal Auditor
Job Description
• The Internal Auditor will work with the Internal Auditor at post, to ensure that the Academy complies with internal regulations and established control protocol.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Ensure that the Academy complies with internal regulations and established control protocol
• Collect and analyze data to detect weak controls, duplicated efforts, waste, fraud or non -compliance with laws, regulations and management policies
• Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency effectiveness and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions
• Monitor the Academy facilities to ensure their safety, security and maintenance
• Reconcile documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy .
• Participate in meetings with individuals and departments to update auditees on findings and the audit process
• Prepare reports and preserves documentation pertaining to audits for internal record
• Present summarized findings on coming audit results and trends for internal groups
• Analyze audit results to determine methods for improving performance
• Make recommendations for the best ways for the Academy to reduce waste
• Assess best financial practices for the Academy and make relevant informed suggestions
• Keep up to date on audit procedures and regulations
• Develop audit plans and performs initial and follow-up audits in accordance with professional standards
• Evaluate audit findings, prepare and present results of audit work and recommendations to management
• Establish exemplary relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• Masters in Accounting Finance, or Business Administration with Auditing experience
• Must have at least five years of relevant experience

• Ability to think objectively, assess and evaluate risk and implement solutions
• Excellent reporting skills
• Accounting software skills
• Microsoft Office Suite software skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems

8.) Accounting Assistant
Job Description
• The Accounting Assistant will support the Accounts Office to prepare accounts and tax returns, administering payrolls, controlling income and expenditure and generally keep the financial books of the Academy.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Keep Imprest for Petty Cash and Fuel
• Write the Fellows’ ledger and keeps proper records of Fellows Accounts
• Sell the Academy’s publications Keep the Stores of the Academy
• Write Receipts and pay Cash/Cheques to Bank
• Write Lodgment and Disbursement Cash Books
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation for all Academy Accounts
• Prepare monthly returns
• Process warrants on GIFMIS
• Prepare Withholding Tax Schedules and ensure compliance with payment reporting and other tax related issues
• Write payment vouchers and do cashiering duties
• Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments
• Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
