1.) Centre Manager
Job Description

Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for a passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience - CENTRE MANAGER- GREATER ACCRA REGION

Length of contract: All vacancies advertised have One (1) year contract (renewable base upon good performance).

The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective functioning of assigned centre through adequate planning and deployment of resources: human, finance and logistics. The job holder provides and ensures core clinical services daily at the centre. He/She develops centre work plans with his/her team, supervises, coordinates, monitors and assesses the performance of the clinical team to ensure quality service delivery.

In addition, the role has responsibility for maintaining proper and accurate records of Centre’s activities, addresses client complaints, and periodically collecting and analysing incidence reports in compliance with set clinical Standards. The Centre Manager will report to the respective Regional Manager in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• The Centre Manager is responsible for the coordinating, supervising, monitoring, and providing high quality clinical services in the centre.
• Oversees the work schedules of all clinical team working within the centre.
• Facilitates the transfer, relief and rotation of centre team members when necessary to ensure that the optimum number of team members per centre is maintained.
• Provides support for Centre team, managing performance within the team.
• Supports Medical Development Team (MDT) to manage members of the Clinical team to build their capacity and strengthen competency and provides technical clinical staff training and professional development.
• Monitors monthly centre results in collaboration with the team and change work plan when necessary.
• Responsible for all logistical requirements needed for the centre and prevents unnecessary stock outs and wastage in the centre.
• Responsible for reporting, clinical issues including major and minor incidences to appropriate channels and minimize clinical complications.
• Any other duties that may come up.

Qualification Required & Experience

• At least 5 (Five) years post-graduation experience in a Leadership position.
• Senior midwifes in sexual and reproductive health care delivery.
• Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health
• Income generation and commercialization oriented
• A flair in good customer care practices
• Excellent team coordination skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Work experience with an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) will be an advantage.
• Must be multi-skilled and analytical with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana
• Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision.
• Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and reproductive Health Services.
• Able to work on own initiative and at longer periods.
• Passionate about maternal health
• Team Player and motivates team members to deliver high quality service and results.
• Self motivator and able to motivate others to achieve results.

2.) Centre Midwife
Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for a passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience - CENTRE MIDWIFE- GREATER ACCRA REGION

Length of contract: All vacancies advertised have One (1) year contract (renewable base upon good performance).

The Centre Midwife will be responsible for providing high quality core MSIG clinical services in the assigned centre of excellence. She will be required to support the Centre Manager to maintain high quality clinical service’s and to promote a congenial and professional atmosphere towards all clients. The Centre Midwife will report to the respective Centre Manager in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist to oversee the work schedules & Strengths of all clinical team working within the centres.
• Efficiently provide clinical services including long acting family planning methods.
• Ensure proper maintenance of all clinical products and equipment.
• Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere towards all clients in the centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times.
• Counsel and assist clients to make informed FP/SRH choices when necessary.
• Ensure that clinical complications at service delivery points are minimised or professionally managed when they occur.
• Provide core MSIG Clinical services including: IUCD, Implant insertion, MSP and MSMP.
• Support the Centre Manager to monitor monthly centre results and make appropriate recommendations to meet centre set targets.
• Assist with all clinical trainings at the centre level.
• Counsel and assist clients to make informed family Planning/sexual Reproductive Health decision
• Keep and manage records of all centre activities including minutes of centre team meetings.
• Assist the Centre Manager to ensure formal communications with the various health partners where appropriate.
• Support with the entry of all service data into Clinic and other MSIG database as required.
• Pro-choice and pro-family planning

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must have a recognized clinical qualification in Midwifery.
• Must be registered with a recognised local clinical professional body in Ghana and be of good Standing.
• Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision.

Skill and Experience

• At least Three (3) years post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position
• Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health
• Be well versed in Ghana Health Service clinical policies, protocols and standards
• Excellent provider-client interaction skills
• Work experience with Ghana Health Service and/or an INGO
• Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
• Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana
• Must be multi-skilled and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services
• Be able to work on own initiative and at longer periods.
• Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels –government, donor and community.
• Passionate about maternal health and the vulnerable

3.) Client Activation Officer, Southeastern Sector
Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for a passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience - CLIENT ACTIVATION OFFICER, SOUTHEASTERN SECTOR

Length of contract: All vacancies advertised have One (1) year contract (renewable base upon good performance).

The Client Activation Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of all Demand Creation activities aimed at increasing client flow in all MSIG channels of service delivery. The Client Activation Officer will report to the Regional Manager with dotted reporting line to the Marketing Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the effective demand creation of services for MSIG’s Bluestar network, MSIG Centres of Excellence, Outreach teams and Public Sector sites to ensure high volumes of clients are accessing services.
• Plan and implement innovative community interventions with the Community Mobilizing Agents (CMAs) consistent with MSIG’s mission.
• Ensure that the MSIG call centre cards and other promotional materials are distributed to encourage clients and potential clients to access MSIG services.
• Support the Youth Focal Person to develop and implement activities focussed on reaching the youth with SRH services.
• Implement and supervise systems for generating and monitoring active referrals to the Bluestar network, MSIG Centres, Outreach Sites and PSS sites.
• Retrieve and review all referral coupons for verification and presentation to Regional Manager to authorise CMAs incentive payments
• Keep proper documentation evidence of all referrals made by CMAs for purposes of payment and reporting.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree Marketing, Social Work, Social Sciences, Population or Development, Health Promotion.
• At least Two (2) years post qualification experience in working with NGOs/ government agencies and at least two (2) years of directly relevant work experience.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Internet are required)
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in community mobilisations and monitoring
• Willingness and ability to do field work and interact with communities.
• Analytical and results oriented, Honest, Mature and reliable
• Ability to work under pressure and works independently and efficiently.
• Proactive and ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Outstanding organisational and record keeping skills.
• Must be pro-choice and a team player.

4.) Monitoring, Evaluation, Research And Learning (MERL) Manager

Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancies for a passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience - Monitoring, Evaluation, Research And Learning (Merl) Manager

Length of contract: All vacancies advertised have One (1) year contract (renewable base upon good performance).

The MERL Manager is responsible for managing the overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Research strategy and implementation of related activities within MSG as well as partner agencies where necessary. The job holder is responsible for ensuring that high quality, accurate and timely information is available for internal and external reporting purposes and will communicate closely with all stakeholders involved in the design, implementation and coordination of projects.

The MERL Manager will also play a lead role in the continuing development and implementation of MSG’s performance framework and tools (including QTAs, CLIC and QAF). He/she will also serve as the key link person for MSG and the Global Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Team and actively support MSG’s Regional Managers to ensure a high degree of regional capacity to collect, collate and analyse projects performance data. S/he reports to the Director, Regional Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and provide leadership to the Monitoring, Evaluation Research and Learning (MERL) team
• Oversee the preparation and management of the work plan and budget for the MERL team and ensuring that the MERL team is compliant with all internal MSG policies (e.g. finance, procurement, human resource management, etc.)
• Provide necessary training, coaching and mentorship for the team.
• Work with project leads and Regional Managers to identify and address M&E training needs of team.
• Proactively identify knowledge gaps within the organisation and design strategic research and/or analysis of secondary data to address them.
• Support MSG to develop a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the programme.
• Undertake and ensure high technical quality research that fulfils both local and MSI ethical standards.
• Work with the Channel Lead, Centres and Centre Managers to put measures in place to increase the service income to cost ratios of the centre network and specific centre respectively.
• Maintain an accurate MIS database for management decision making and donor reporting.
• Undertake the publication and presentation of MSG research findings and articles in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
• Strengthen relations with key stakeholders and partners including Government, R3M and other researchers.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Population Studies, Mathematics, Economics, Demography, Public Health, Agricultural Economics or Social Sciences required.
• Other relevant professional qualifications desired.

Experience/Skills

• At least six (6) years of post-graduate relevant work experience with a minimum of three (3) years at the managerial experience.
• Experienced in managing a team and proven ability to undertake training and capacity building.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing (including supervising field work), analysing and writing-up high quality research.
• Research, project management and INGO experience
• Demonstrated experience of actively collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
• IT literate – competence with MS Office, SPSS and EpiData.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Team player, hard work and results focused.
• Experience in working in health and sexual and reproductive health.
• Pro-family planning and pro-choice.
• Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels –government, donor and community.
• Able to inspire and excite others about turning data into information.
• Problem-solving, ‘can do’ approach to challenges.
