🌐 Earning 6 Figures From Your Couch: The Top Remote Jobs That Pay Over $100,000 a Year in 2023!
“Believe it or Not! Remote Jobs with a Six-Figure Paycheck are Not a Myth – Here’s What You Need to Know”
In an age where the cost of living seems to only skyrocket and demands for a more flexible work-life balance are at an all-time high, a well-paying remote job might seem like a dream come true.
And guess what? It’s no fantasy, as corroborated by the popular job-ratings platform, Glassdoor.
Rising Cost of Living and the Need for Higher Pay
The escalating expenses of daily life – ranging from food to housing – are compelling many Americans to scout for higher-paying jobs.
Meanwhile, with many companies calling back their employees to on-site work, the demand for fully remote jobs is shooting up.
If you’re in the market for remote roles with a salary in the six figures, there are indeed plenty of opportunities out there.
However, there’s a small caveat: these lucrative positions often call for advanced degrees in domains such as computer science or medicine, or years of on-the-ground experience.
The Search for High-Paying, Fully Remote Jobs
In a recent study, MarketWatch teamed up with Glassdoor, based in San Francisco, to highlight businesses that offer a median salary of over $100,000, with the potential for fully remote work.
The study specifically filtered out high-paying jobs that entail face-to-face interaction, such as C-suite positions.
One of the highest-paying remote roles identified by the study is that of a quantitative researcher, with an impressive median salary of $175,000 per annum.
Other high-paying positions included technology managers, technical program managers, and infrastructure architects, boasting median salaries in the $150,000 to $160,000 range.

What Makes These Jobs Worth Six Figures?
In a discussion with MarketWatch, Aaron Terrazas, chief economist at Glassdoor, explained that the educational level necessary for these jobs and their need for critical judgment, discretion, or personal risk could contribute to their high pay. Moreover, the job could be in a sought-after industry.
For individuals who don’t mind being office-bound full-time, roles such as chief revenue officer, physician advisor, anesthesiologist, and others could bring in a whopping $200,000 or more annually, as per Glassdoor’s findings.

Remote Work in the Post-COVID Era
Terrazas emphasizes that in this new, post-COVID world, a return to the office does not necessarily denote a choice between full-time in-person work or complete remote work.
He advocates recognizing that remote work lies on a spectrum, with hybrid options and part-time office work falling within its range.
Certain roles, such as those in law, might still require periodic in-person attendance, such as in a courtroom. Sales positions may occasionally necessitate face-to-face client meetings, but can be largely performed remotely.
Terrazas warns that the prevalence of remote work could fluctuate with market dynamics. According to him, “When the labor market tightens, we’ll see more and more companies being open and offering remote work as a sweetener to attract talent.”
