Duties
- The incumbent serves as the Bodyguard (BG) Shift Leader (SL) and/or Agent In Charge (AIC) for the Protective Security Unit in the execution of protective security operations for the U.S. Ambassador / Chief of Mission (COM), and other designated or visiting U.S. government officials as directed.
- Under the supervision of the Bodyguard Supervisor and managed by the Regional Security Officer (RSO) to Consulate Lagos in order to protect him/her from harm and embarrassment.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a commercial bodyguard, civilian or in the Nigeria police or military is required.
Job Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of defense measures to be used in the event of a terrorist attack, such as that learned in the military or law enforcement training is required.
- Knowledge in medical, fire, hostile attack, defensive and emergence driving procedures is required. Must be familiar with Nigeria police services, military, security and other government offices to ensure effective liaison and to facilitate effective protective operations including advance and motorcade operations.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of high / secondary school is required.
Evaluations:
- This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.
Language:
- Good working knowledge reading/writing/speaking is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to take initiative and show resourcefulness in accomplishing tasks is required.

Experience:
- Two (2) years previous experience working on Nortel/Avaya PBX System is required.
Job Knowledge:
- Must know how telecommunication voice and data signaling enters the building: how wiring is arranged on a punch down block; distribution of wiring throughout the building; ability to test and correct faulty circuits. Must know IP Addressing. Knowledgeable with telecommunication test equipment: voltmeter, cable analyzer is required.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School or received high school diploma is required.
- Trade Test / City and Guide Certificates in electronics or computer or telecommunications is required.
Evaluations:
- This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.
Language:
- Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English in required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use a personal computer and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Cisco IOS, Phone Master, IP Office Manager, Unified Communication Manager.
- Must have fundamental voice/data signaling skills. Must be able to work as a team member, and work in difficult, sometimes dirty and cramped conditions. Must be able to lift 25kg and must possess a valid Nigeria driver's license.

- S/he works in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) or Medical Provider (MP) with daily work guidance of Local Hire Nurse Practitioner.

Requirements
Experience:
- Two (2) years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.
Job Knowledge:
- Must possesses critical-thinking skills and comprehends MED’s policies and procedures regarding medical evacuations, hospitalizations, and insurance reimbursement methodology, as well as current knowledge of local and regional medical services that can provide care for all acuity levels, including vetted specialists and hospitals.
- Good working knowledge of MED’s RN Clinical Practice Guidelines as well as familiarity with American Nursing Standards of Care are required.
Education Requirements:
- Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nursing license from Nigeria, country of origin, or the U.S.
