1.) Head of Marketing

Job Description

  • Seedco, a leading Seed Company in Africa with interest across Africa intends to recruit competent and qualified Marketing Manager to Head her Marketing Unit as it’s deepen its operation in Nigeria.

Job Summary

  • The Head of Marketing role is strategically positioned to envision and develop the company's marketing Dept to deliver on the mission and vision of the company in Nigeria.
  • He/she has the overall responsibility of positioning, creating, capturing and sustaining values for the company through Strategic planning and implementation of consumer centric plans.
  • The Marketing Manager will coordinate all demand creation activities, Channel promotions, media and technology based advertisement, agro dealer’s development and product loyalty programs thereby entrenching and positioning the Seed Co brand as the seed of choice for increased productivity.

The incumbent will also:

  • Defining, understanding and creating long term strategies for market categories and segments.

  • Initiate research on brands, consumers, and market segments.
  • Develop and defend brand identity and positioning.
  • Lead in the formulation of pricing strategy.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the brands.
  • Brief Marketing agency on media objectives and creative material development and production.
  • Coordinate project planning, implementation and appraisal.
  • Develop and implement sales, distribution and channel strategy.
  • Implement trade marketing strategy.

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of a second Class upper University Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Management (or related fields).
  • Business or marketing and/or business post graduate education (MBA) preferred.
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager either in an Agric Business or in an FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge of commodities marketing, route to market, and products promotion.
  • Market Information Gathering, data analysis and result presentation.
  • Communication skills and Stakeholders Management are essential.
  • Hausa language will be desirable
  • Experience in working in international companies is certainly an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • Must be a self-motivated person
  • Required Age: 30 - 38 years.

2.) Van Sales Representative

 

Location: Jos, Plateau
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • He/she is responsible for using a Vehicle to ensure retail customers are served; and Saro Agrosciences products are available & visible across in assigned routes at all times.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepares route plan & adhere to it strictly.
  • Develop & maintain customer list that capture Name, Contact Person, Address, and Phone Numbers of customers in assigned routes.
  • Sell company products to current & potential retail outlets / customers.
  • Deliver set targets on all sales KPIs- Call, IMS, Collection, Strike Rate, Average Order Size/Call etc.
  • Ensure products are sold as communicated in official company price list in all sales outlets
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the van is carried out in accordance with guidelines.
  • Maintain a driver's logbook showing details of itineraries, fuel consumption, maintenance records, etc.
  • Assist in the development (information generation) and implementation of marketing plans regarding his / her assigned territory.
  • Report issues relating to satisfaction of customers, & consumers in assigned routes.
  • Develop existing & new retail customers to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, & annual volume / revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Courses / Qualification: OND (Accounts, Economics, Business Management, etc)
  • Relevant Experience: 2 years experience in similar role
  • Required Age: 23-35 years

Special Skills & Key Behavioral Competencies:

3.) Hypermarket Officer (Lagos)

Job Description

  • Hypermarket Officer (HMO) is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the availability and visibility of all Saro Lifecare brands across the shelves of all key Hypermarkets in his/her area of coverage to achieve hypermarkets and Key Supermarkets optimization based on set KPIs.

Primary Responsibilities
Route to Market Implementation:

  • Implement the route to market for his area of coverage as designed in the Hypermarket Plan
  • Design route for Merchandizers within the coverage area and clear Sales KPI for merchandizers effectiveness
  • Expansion drive into Hypermarkets stores within the coverage area.
  • Recruitment and maintaining relationship with key Hypermarkets for effective optimization.
  • Consistent availability of ACV in the Modern Retail channel

Sales Management:

  • Directs, coordinates and collates Sales and Collection plan for his area of coverage based on available Hypermarket
  • Oversee the achievement of his territory Sales and Collection Target by keeping track of performance and suggest intervention that will ensure we are on track
  • Maintain track record of Hypermarkets and resource performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Be in direct contact with the Key Decision makers of outlets on a weekly basis for opportunities in upselling, Competition, resolve service issue and generally to bond with them for higher productivity
  • Maintain stock availability by making products request in line with Target and restocking level
  • Supervise the delivery van and ensure prompt delivery of all PO's

Channel Management:

  • Champion the implementation of Sales Drivers (Distribution, Shelving, Pricing, Promotion & Merchandizing) in accordance to the approved Sales Activation Standards in all Hypermarket Accounts within coverage area
  • Take full ownership of implementation of all company Resources, Marketing Initiatives (Promo, POSM deployments, etc) and Standards across all segments (TLA, SA & EA) within coverage area
  • Resolve or Escalate channel Issues within his/her Hypermarkets covered and provide management periodic update on channel performance
  • Management of Merchandizers or In-store activators attached to Hypermarkets covered.

Risk and Control Management:

  • Monitor credit compliance of Hypermarkets within area of coverage
  • Ensure Merchandizers are always on their Hypermarket of coverage and 100% visibility of their activity
  • Reports all incidences not more than 24 hours after incidence.
  • Identification and Replacement of Off Spec products within 48hrs of notice.
  • Follow up on Payment and Inventory Management through the Purchase/Account Manager & Aisle Supervisor.
  • Outlet recruitment, retention and growth of their business across the different channels for optimization and business growth.
  • Execute Hypermarket specific functions for channel bonding with Saro Life Care

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously ensure process are followed and improved upon by adherence and proposing ways of improvement.
  • Work together with Hypermarket Lead in Collaboration with Innovation on the digital route to market as a key driver of Efficiency and Scalability

Reporting:

  • Collaborator Engagement: Identify and engage relevant collaborators and multilateral agencies that will partner with us in the initiative.

  • Mobilisation for activities: Must be able to mobilize target audience and resources for demonstration and other related activities
