1.) News Editor
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
- Coordinate the editorial meeting to set the news agenda for the day
- Responsible for fact-checking, presenting relevant information, writing and editing briefing notes and scripts
- Serve as daily assignment editor
- Organize the news to present the most interesting piece first
- Ensure late-breaking news / updates is added to newscasts
- Comply with the moral code of the journalistic profession, the company’s code of conduct, and existing broadcast rules
- Be up to date and fully conversant with news, current affairs and industry developments by studying papers, monitoring competitors and industry trends , attending events, etc.
- Stay in contact with industry professionals.

2.) Experienced Music Scheduler
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Support the programming team with musical knowledge and program scheduling
- Audition, edit and schedule high quality and varied station music logs for programs across the station with appropriate detail to the station’s target audience
- Provide content and production support for live programming
- Provide content and production support for specialist and non-playlist programs
- Monitoring music information provided for non-playlist shows
- Implement the weekly schedule for the radio
- Maintain the radio station’s music databases
- Assist in the system entry of all grids to required timelines.
- Build up an extensive knowledge of the station’s music library.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification.

- Prepare, write, and present news coverage or analysis on sports events to inform fans of the latest happenings in the sports world
- Research game statistics, analyze sports news stories, announce play-by-plays and offer game predictions on air
- Provide a fun and conversational element for listeners
- Responsible for fact-checking, presenting relevant sports information, writing and editing briefing notes and scripts
- Participate actively in the sports editorial meeting to set the agenda for the day
- Collaborate with the Sports Manager to set agenda for the day
- Organize the sports news to present the most interesting piece first
- Revise scripts and prepare to deliver on-air
- Comply with the moral code of the journalistic profession and the company’s code of conduct
- Be up to date and fully conversant with news, sports and industry developments by studying papers, attending events, etc.
- Stay in contact with industry professionals.
