1.) Packaging Operator

- Career opportunity exists for a highly skilled Packaging Operators.
- The Successful candidate will operate and maintain defined packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness.

Purpose
- To Safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment (Filling and labelling process areas which have a bigger business impact with cost and consumer quality) and related process to achieve optimal effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operating and Process Control:
- Operating equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
- Recording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems.
Maintenance of Plant and Equipment:
- Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
- Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution.
- Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

Quality Control and Analysis:
- Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
- The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions. react to the results using the VPO tools supplied.
Communication:
- Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
- Fully understand the team Dream and contribute in achieving it.
- Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
- Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.
Problem Solving:
- Where problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- B.Sc / HND or equivalent in Engineering
- Experience in a packaging process environment.
- Minimum of 2 years in FMCG environment
- Experience in running a high-speed packaging line

- High level of initiative and energy.

2.) Trade Marketing Representative

Purpose of the Job
- The purpose of the Trade Marketing Representative is to leverage capital and people resources in order to enhance sustainable growth in sales volume, market share and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Channel Management & Execution:
- Custodian of channel and trade marketing knowledge and expertise.
- Define, quantify and sensibly segment the appropriate channel within the market, and then apply channel strategies accordingly
- Ongoing development, co-ordination and standardisation of IRVPs incorporating this into the connection strategy through alignment with marketing and execution standards, development of tool kits, frameworks, measures and standards and best practice transfers
- Develop the above IRVPs programmes (in conjunction with brand marketing) that fit, and are appropriate to, agreed channel strategies, including events, refrigeration, draught, merchandising, category management, signage and promotions.
- To develop expertise in merchandising, promotions, point of connection (POC), events, category management, BTL, calendar development etc.
- Ownership of the system to monitor trade execution standard whilst working with sales team to ensure execution standards are met
- Develop, own and drive Cold Strategy in country.

Channel Communication:
- Develop and own the definition of execution standards across all elements of the sales driver triangle
- Develop annual BTL plans (Executions and Promotions) and communicate to sales teams
- Complete details behind each activity including budgets, capture in an annual activity plan and share with sales teams
- Develop and manage appropriate competitor response in trade
- Ensure promotion activities and point of connection materials allocations take place as per plans and need for adhoc responses from time to time
- Review activity and results; communicate changes and initiatives through regular CPF sessions.
- Review, Track in-trade audit KPIs and communicate in-trade audit standards.
Customer Relationships:
- Build effective business partnerships with key customers
- Manage 3rd Party BTL agencies and ensure set standards are met at all times. Review performance against communicated targets.
Budgets and P&L:
- Fully accountable for BTL budget, including Executions and Brand Promotions
- Fully accountable for Coolers, Draught and Activations equipment Capex budget
- Ensure adherence to budget disciplines for department
- Implement appropriate controls to ensure transparency and accountability of expenditure
- Manage fixed costs.

Requirements
Education:
- Minimum of a First Degree in either Business Administration or the Humanities from an accredited, and recognised university or college by the National Accreditation Board.
Experience & Skills:
- Excellent management & leadership skills
- Practical knowledge of market structures and consumer trends in Ghana
- Numeracy Skills – ability to work with detailed analysis
- Process and Project management
- Ability to persuade and get results through managing diverse group
- High attention to detail.

- The key accountabilities and delegated responsibilities of the position will be the following:
- Ensure that a relationship is built and maintained with all relevant stakeholders in the communities around the brewery, Government Ministries, Department, Agencies and regulators.
- Ensure that the government relations program effectively manages regulatory risks.
- Ensure that the company is represented on key trade and industry organizations/bodies (including task forces and special groups) where the company should be represented, and that the most appropriate company representatives participate.
- Ensure that the views, positions and agenda of the company are effectively represented and supported by other members of key trade and industry bodies.
- Implement company initiatives, projects and partnerships around alcohol responsibility and sustainability issues and demonstrably build reputation for the company among key stakeholders.
- Ensure that these reputation building activities are effectively leveraged among government officials, policy makers and with NGOs.
- Ensure that key NGOs impacting the business are monitored and that dialogue is established with them wherever possible and/or appropriate.
- Implement robust evaluation methodologies that have been designed to measure the impact of activities, initiatives and programs and that these insights are used to determine how programs and plans can be improved.
- Monitor and track progress of ALL product registration, permits and licenses with regulatory authorities.
- Provide monthly report on regulatory obligations and status of existing applications. Drive complete accuracy and Integrity of records by maintaining depository of all licenses and permits.
- Plan, undertake and oversee regulatory inspections and activities on the site. Proactively liaise with other departments to understand their regulatory needs and take steps to action those requests.
- Ensure that a company's products comply with the regulations of the regions where they want to distribute them.
- Train employees, where required, on regulatory changes and activities that could impact our operations/objectives.
- Develop materials to support new product licenses and license renewals process.
- Prepare submissions of license variations and renewals to strict deadlines.
- Monitor set timelines for License variations and renewal approvals.
- Support the Licence to Trade (LTT) agenda of the Brewery.
- Draw up a stakeholder mapping exercise for Sustainable Development and Enterprise Development stakeholders.

Requirements
The occupant of this position should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Communications or related field.
- Five plus years’ experience in Communications, community relations and/or governmental relations; legislative, regulatory and/or executive branch public policy work.
Key Competencies and Attributes:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with state, local and community groups, preferably as a representative of a large public institution.
- Preference for candidates who have worked in similar multinational/international environment.
- Good command of Yoruba language would be an added advantage.
