5.) Material Controller
Job Title: Material Controller
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily material receiving, issuing, and returning activities to ensure accurate stock records.
- Maintain an up-to-date material ledger and ensure 100% alignment between physical stock and system records.
- Prepare and update daily/weekly inventory reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Support project teams with material allocation and distribution based on site requirements.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and proper material storage.
- Cooperate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth material flow.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, and basic data analysis.
- Prior experience in material management / warehouse operations is preferred (receiving, issuing, stock accuracy, ledger management).
- Able to support overtime when needed and participate in inventory counts.
- Good communication skills; able to follow processes and complete reports on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in telecom, construction, or engineering project environments.
