1.) State Support Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated and passionate State Support Officer in Bauchi to join our team, focusing on Menstrual Hygiene Health initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MH-NoW) project at the state level.
- This position is responsible for supporting project activities, coordinating with local stakeholders, and ensuring the effective delivery of project outcomes.
- The officer will work closely with the Team Lead, state government officials, community leaders, and other partners to improve access to affordable and quality menstrual hygiene products and services, enhance MH education, and advocate for supportive policies.
Your contribution
You will be responsible for the following:
Project Implementation:
- Support the rollout and implementation of MH-NoW project activities in the assigned state, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Coordinate the local production and distribution of affordable menstrual hygiene products.
- Oversee the implementation of community outreach and MH education campaigns.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with state government officials, local health authorities, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and workshops with stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and strategies.
- Advocate for the integration of menstrual health into state health policies and programs.
Capacity Building:
- Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions for local women’s groups on the production and distribution of menstrual hygiene products.
- Support the development of community champions and peer educators in the state to promote MH awareness and education.
- Ensure the dissemination and adoption of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials within the state.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor project activities in the state to ensure adherence to project objectives and timelines.
- Collect and analyze data on project indicators, including the number of MH products distributed, education sessions held, and policy advocacy efforts.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Team Lead.
Advocacy and Policy Support:
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to advocate for the inclusion of menstrual hygiene management (MHM) in state budgets and policies.
- Support the development and adaptation of state-level MH policies and frameworks in line with national guidelines.
- Participate in state-level technical working groups (TWGs) on MHM and contribute to policy discussions.
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the MH-NoW project in the state, ensuring effective communication between PSI Nigeria, state stakeholders, and community partners.
- Contribute to the documentation of project successes, challenges, and lessons learned for internal and external dissemination.
- Assist in the development of communication materials and social media content to raise awareness of MH issues in the state.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, health programming, or community development, preferably in the context of reproductive health or WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene).
- Strong understanding of the menstrual health and hygiene landscape in Nigeria, including policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations at the state or local level.
- Proven ability to engage and coordinate with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and civil society organizations.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

2.) Visual Communications Consultant
Job Title: Visual Communications Consultant

About the PSI and DISC Programme:
- The Delivering Innovation in Self-Care (DISC) project seeks to enhance its visual storytelling and communications through high-quality, representative photography and video content that highlights the project's impact.
- This includes generating content for the DISC website, donor engagement, reports, and a new regional demand generation video.
About the assignment:
- To support DISC Nigeria’s communications goals, the consultant will deliver high-quality photos and video footage that showcase project activities and impact, ensuring alignment with PSI’s branding and ethical standards.
Scope of work and specifications
Objectives:
- To provide professional-grade photography and videography support that accurately showcases DISC Nigeria’s activities, partners, and community impact in alignment with the DISC 2.0 communication priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Photography (by July 2025):
- Capture and submit at least 4–5 high-resolution, professional-quality photos that illustrate key DISC activities in Nigeria, including:
- Community mobilization and health worker engagement
- Clinic activations and client interactions
- DMPA-SC self-injection by clients
- Data collection processes and supply chain distribution
- Ensure all photos meet PSI’s branding and ethical consent guidelines.
- Deliver final edited images in JPEG or PNG format with full metadata and signed consent forms.
Video Footage Collection (by August 2025):
- Record and submit high-quality raw footage of representative DISC demand generation activities, to contribute to a new regional 5–8 minute video.
- Participate in storyboard development and align captured content with strategic priorities.
- Submit labelled raw video files (MP4 preferred), b-roll, and associated documentation.
Routine Photography System Support:
- Propose and help establish a practical, quarterly system for collecting high-quality visual content from local partners.
- Provide an inventory summary of visual documentation capacity among DISC partners and recommend improvements where needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- The consultant must be prepared to travel within Nigeria as needed and use personal professional-grade equipment to deliver high-quality visual content.
Equipment Requirements
- The consultant must own and use professional-grade equipment, including but not limited to:
- DSLR or mirrorless camera with a minimum resolution of 20 megapixels (e.g., Canon EOS R, Nikon Z6, Sony Alpha series)
- High-quality lenses, including a portrait lens (e.g., 50mm or 85mm f/1.8) and a zoom lens (e.g., 24-70mm or 70-200mm)
- Professional audio recording gear for video capture
- Video-capable camera capable of shooting Full HD (1080p) or 4K footage
- Portable lighting gear or reflectors for low-light conditions
- Tripod and gimbal stabilizer for smooth video shots
- Reliable editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro)
Program Oversight and Strategic Management:
- The consultant will work closely with the DISC Nigeria Country Lead and PSI’s global communications team to ensure all visual outputs align with strategic objectives and storytelling priorities.
Operational Support and Quality Assurance:
- The consultant will ensure all photos and videos meet professional quality standards, adhere to ethical guidelines, and are delivered in required formats with proper documentation.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- The consultant will track and report work hours and deliverables monthly, maintaining records of signed consent forms and ensuring transparent documentation.
Liaison with Partners and Stakeholder:
- The consultant will coordinate with local partners to schedule shoots, obtain informed consent, and support efforts to improve routine photography systems where needed.
Program Transition and Close-Out Support:
- The consultant will ensure all visual assets, metadata, and consent forms are organized and handed over to PSI Nigeria to support sustained use beyond the consultancy period.
Deliverables:
- 4–5 edited, high-resolution photographs (by July 2025)
- Raw, labelled video footage with signed consent forms (by September 2025)
- Brief routine photo submission plan and partner capacity summary (by August 2025)
- Monthly summary of hours worked, and outputs delivered
- The consultant will report to the DISC Nigeria Country Lead and coordinate closely with PSI’s Global External Communications team.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in professional photography and videography
- Strong visual portfolio in development, public health, or humanitarian storytelling
- Strong social media presence and experience with content creation
- Demonstrated knowledge of ethical photography and informed consent practices
- Full ownership and demonstrated use of high-quality equipment as specified above
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and travel within Nigeria as needed
Level of Effort (LOE):
- Up to 20 hours per month.

Job Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Monitoring & Evaluation Manager to join our dynamic team.
- The Monitoring & Evaluation Manager will play a key role in strengthening PSI Nigeria’s monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance program effectiveness.
- The incumbent will support the development and implementation of M&E frameworks, facilitate learning and adaptive management, and ensure alignment with donor and organizational requirements.
Your contribution
Monitoring & Data Management:
- Lead the design and implementation of M&E plans and frameworks, ensuring alignment with program objectives and donor requirements.
- Oversee routine data collection, validation, and analysis for program performance monitoring.
- Lead development and and roll out of data collection tools, dashboards, and databases to track program progress.
- Conduct periodic data quality assessments (DQAs) to ensure the reliability and accuracy of program data.
- Conduct periodic field visits to provide technical assistance and support for strengthening program monitoring efforts.

- At least 5-7 years of experience in M&E roles, preferably in health and development programs.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as STATA, SPSS, R, or Power BI.
- Experience working with digital data collection platforms such as DHIS2, CommCare, or ODK.
- Excellent understanding of research methodologies, impact evaluation, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with donor reporting requirements.
