Candidates applying for this position must possess Ph.D degree in

B. Public health

from reputable universities or comparable institutions of higher learning and a good first degree in an appropriate allied health sciences discipline and any other professional health field (e.g. Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, public health, Physiotherapy and other medical rehabilitation specialties, Radiography). Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and community service. Candidates must also possess scholarly publications in high-impact journals, both locally and internationally, have experience in grantsmanship, demonstrate ability to initiate and direct new research efforts, provides mentorship to junior academics, considerable administrative experience and postgraduate supervision. 

Reader (Associate Professor) - CONUASS 6

2. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

A. Professor/Reader - Salary (CONUASS 7/CONUASS 6): Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Project Management.

Applicants must possess a minimum of Ph.D. Degree in any of the following fields: Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Project Management. Applicants should also have a minimum of 10 years post Ph.D. teaching and research experience at the university level for Professors and 9 years for Readership.

Applicant should be a scholar of high repute with considerable publications in reputable and peer reviewed Journals. Evidence of registration with relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage.

B. Departments of Project Management:

i. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Project Management with at least five (5) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer I). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals. Membership of relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage.

 ii. Lecturer I:  Salary (CONUASS 4):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Project Management with at least three (3) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer II). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals. Membership of relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage.

iii. Lecturer II: Salary (CONUASS 3):
Applicants must possess Ph.D. degree in Project Management and membership of relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage.

C. Department of Accounting

i. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Accounting with at least five (5) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer I). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals and be members of relevant professional accounting bodies like ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CIMA-UK and other relevant bodies.

 ii. Lecturer I:  Salary (CONUASS 4):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Accounting with at least three (3) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer II). D. Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship

i. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship with at least five (5) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer I). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals. Membership of relevant professional bodies would be added advantage.

ii.   Lecturer I:  Salary (CONUASS 4):
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship with at least three (3) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer II). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals. Membership of relevant professional bodies would be added advantage.

iii. Lecturer II: Salary (CONUASS 3):
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship and membership of relevant professional bodies would be added advantage.

E. Department of Economics

i. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Economics with at least five (5) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer I). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals and be members of relevant professional bodies.

ii. Lecturer I:  Salary (CONUASS 4):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Economics with at least three (3) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer II). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals and be members of relevant professional Economics bodies

iii. Lecturer II: Salary (CONUASS 3)
Applicants must possess Ph.D. degree in Economics and membership of relevant professional accounting bodies.

F. Department of Public Administration

i. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Administration with at least five (5) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer I). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals. Membership of relevant professional bodies would be added advantage.

3. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Department of Chemical/ Petroleum and Gas Engineering 

i.  Professor/Reader – Salary (CONUASS 7/CONUASS 6):
Applicants must possess a minimum of Ph.D. Degree in any of the following fields: Department of Chemical/ Petroleum and Gas Engineering. Applicants should also have a minimum of 10 years post Ph.D. teaching and research experience at the university level for Professors and 9 years for Readership.  Applicant should be a scholar of high repute with considerable publications in reputable and peer reviewed Journals and MUST be a registered member of COREN.

ii. Senior Lecturer:  Salary (CONUASS 5):

Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals and MUST be a registered member of COREN.

iii. Lecturer I:  Salary (CONUASS 4):
Applicants must possess good first degree, Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Chemical/ Petroleum and Gas Engineering with at least three (3) years cognate teaching and research experience (two of which must have been spent as Lecturer II). Applicants must have acceptable number of publications in reputable learned journals and MUST be a registered member of COREN.
