1.) Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Position Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Unit: Institutional Business Intelligence Unit
Reports To: Director, Institutional Research & Planning Office
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, the mandate of the Business Intelligence Unit is to lead a team to oversee the identification of the reporting and analytic requirements of various units of the University. He will lead in the development and deployment of business intelligence and analytic solutions that will aid University units in making operational, tactical and strategic data-driven decisions.

Duties:
• Collaborate with the Institutional Data Engineer to plan data pipelines, dimensional modelling, and decide on required data specifications that meet business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Transform data into insights that can assist university managers and executives to make data-driven operational, tactical, and strategic decisions to modernise, drive business value, identify areas of revenue loss and improve processes in the organisation through use of data analytics, data visualisation and data modelling techniques and technologies.
• Conduct requirements gathering to gather university requirements for business intelligence and analytics via data collection methods such as interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow story boards, use cases and scenarios.
• Develop and conduct reviews of the business intelligence and analytics requirements to ensure that requirements specifications are correctly interpreted.
• Analyse and verify business intelligence requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine the objectives, scope, parameters of requirements to define, outcome, metrics, and relevant KPIs for business intelligence reports.
• Research and review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
• Develop framework for the development of BI reporting for various units.
• Translate conceptual user requirements into functional business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Design, develop and deploy business intelligence reports and dashboards using BI reporting tools, such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Institutional Research and Planning Office.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Candidate must possess a relevant Bachelor’s & Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Studies, Statistics, or related field.
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in higher education management.
• Proven experience with databases and programming for data analysis.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organising, and managing resources.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline environment, with expert problem solving and analytical skills and a collaborative mind-set.
• A very good understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

2.) Institutional Assessment Officer
Position Title: Institutional Assessment Officer
Unit: IRPO Institutional Assessment Unit
Reports To: Director, Institutional Research & Planning Office
Position Summary:
• Reporting to the Director, the mandate assigned to the Institutional Assessment Officer is to head the Institutional Assessment Unit and lead a team to contribute to assessment and evaluation projects which support effective planning and strategic management at the University of Ghana.
Duties:
• Work with academic programmes, in a variety of delivery formats, to develop assessment plans, implementation, and assessment tools, including rubrics, assessment, exit interviews, etc.
• Undertake assessment processes for academic programmes to improve student learning.
• Work closely with non-instructional programmes to develop, maintain and conduct effective outcomes assessment activities.
• Assist faculty with design of outcomes-based instructional materials.
• Provide feedback, guidance and writing assistance as needed, on assessment plans and reports.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of academic programme reviews, annual assessment reports, and other accreditation-related materials.
• Develop programme quality improvement measures with relevant groups and implement across all units.
• Provide institutional data and findings from research and assessment to support institutional planning processes.
• Undertake the implementation of outcomes-based programmatic and student learning assessment across all degree-programmes.
• Monitor, evaluate and assess programme and institutional effectiveness.
• Provide institutional data and assessment findings for external reporting.
• Promote and sustain a participative and transformative assessment culture.
• Monitor the implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Institutional Research and Planning.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Candidate must possess a relevant Bachelor’s & Masters Degree or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline with experience in institutional research and research methods.
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in higher education management.
• Previous experience or training in assessment and evaluation methods.
• A broad knowledge of assessment and programme evaluation processes.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in developing and implementing assessment methods, strategic planning, student learning assessment, academic development, and curriculum review.
• Experience in outcomes assessment in higher education.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong organisational and interpersonal skills and skills in use of database and statistical analysis software.

3.) Deputy Head, University of Ghana Basic School
The School
Established as the University Primary School (UPS) in 1955 with an initial enrollment of 36 pupils, it moved to its present premises in 1958 as the Demonstration School. The Junior Secondary School was later added in 1987 with an initial enrollment of 68. The school now has over 1500 pupils in three Departments; Kindergarten, Primary and Junior High.
The Position
• The Deputy Head will support the Head of School in the general administration, development, and growth of the school as a center of academic excellence and will be required to provide leadership and exercise initiative in the management of an establishment with a growing student population in a competitive national environment.
The Person
• Must have a very good first degree in a relevant discipline.
• Must have a Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed.) in a relevant field (preferably
• Educational Administration,
• Educational Administration and Management,
• Educational Leadership and Management
• Educational Measurement and Evaluation).
• Must be a teacher on the rank of at least Principal Teacher with a minimum of ten years’ progressively responsible professional experience.
• Must be a visionary and must be able to assist to establish linkages within the University system and between the school and the wider public.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
• Must be able to establish and maintain high academic standards and discipline
• Must have an excellent track record in the adoption of new techniques for teaching and learning.
Duties
The Deputy Head is responsible for assisting leadership in maintaining and promoting efficiency and good order on the campus. The successful applicant will also support the Head to build a first-class school.
Terms of Appointment
The appointment will take effect from 1st August 2022. This is a Senior Member appointment and subsequent renewal (s) will be performance based.

Job Role/Responsibilities:
The Senior Tutor shall be responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:
• Act as Chairman and convenor of the Tutorial Board.
• Plan and evaluate the educational, counseling, and disciplinary work of the Hall.
• Promote active student participation in activities of the University Community and sports to groom individuals of well-rounded character.
• Brief, advise and guide the Floor Tutors on their job expectations and performances, and evaluate their job performance and make recommendations to guide either their re-appointment or termination of appointment.
• Instruct and discipline Junior Members of the Hall in line with the University Statutes and UGEL’s policy.
• Plan and evaluate the educational, counseling and disciplinary work of the Hall.
• Assist in promoting the safety and welfare of all students residing in the Hall. This includes crises intervention, conflict mediation, and providing support and referrals for students in need.
• Assist the General Manager to allocated beds to students during the academic year.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the Porters Lodge and such aspect of the welfare and duties of the Hall Staff as may be determined by UGEL from time to time.
• Attend Management, Board and any other meetings as shall be requested by the Board.
Qualification Required & Experience
• The applicant must be a minimum rank of a Senior Lecturer or its equivalent.
• He/she must be of high moral standing.
• Experience in handling student welfare is an advantage.
Tenure of Office:
The role is effective from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2024 (may be renewable for a further term upon satisfactory performance).
