1.) Packaging Process Operator

Job Purpose

  • To safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment (Filling and labelling process areas which have a bigger business impact with cost and consumer quality) and related process to achieve optimal effectiveness, process quality and Productivity.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Complete associated tracking and monitoring: Complete operator workstation administration and act as required.
  • Complete Team room administration as required
  • Contribute to self-development
  • Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
  • Use QFR's (As per triggers)
  • Complete 5 WHY's (As per triggers) with relevant team members
  • Contribute towards AB reports as required
  • Ensure process quality and productivity
  • Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
  • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution.
  • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.
  • Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
  • The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions.
  • react to the results using the VPO tools supplied
  • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. Making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
  • Fully understand the team Dream and contribute in achieving it.
  • Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues.
  • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc. / HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1 year on the job training, SKAP Completed.

Job Purpose

  • The primary function of this position is to operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operating And Process Control:

  • Operating equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards
  • Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
  • Recording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems.

Maintenance of Plant and Equipment:

  • Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
  • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution.
  • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

Quality Control and Analysis:

  • Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.

3.) Brewing Process Control Artisan

Job Description

  • The key purpose of this role is to lead the Process Engineering function, perform optimization /modifications of process control systems and support the installations of process control systems.
  • The Instrument Artisan will also Maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize Packaging equipment and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality in the Brewery and optimize the generation and utilization of all utilities within the process areas in the Plant.

  • Identify process control software deviations and resolve or recommend solutions.
  • Support the process control software change management process.
  • Maintain process control software integrity and security.
  • Support the development of and upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for process control systems.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.

Job Purpose

  • The primary function of this position is to maintain equipment, assuring reliable performance to standard through inspections and providing corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Operating And Process Control:

  • Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
  • Identification of unsafe practices through SIO's.
  • Safety inspections conducted.
  • Safe maintenance practices audited.
  • Adherence to PPE policies.
  • Maintenance tools are in good working order

Maintenance of Plant And Equipment:

  • Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas.
  • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Machine Specialist or Maintenance Controller to assist with resolution.
  • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

Quality Control And Analysis:

  • Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system.
  • The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions.

5.) Manufacturing Systems Manager

Job Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to ensure compliance to control and be accountable for the management and execution of the Control and Automation function within the brewery.
  • The incumbent will ensure strategic alignment to the manufacturing systems strategy as defined by ABI automation standards and practices.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of the associated control systems. (Brew house, Cellars, Filtration, Packaging, Raw materials brewing/Packaging) and provide expertise to the line teams
  • Ensure application of the GOPs (Maintenance, Extended maintenance, Electrical Systems, Control & Automation, Reverse Engineering) and create sustainable improvement in focused GOP scores in Control and Automation.
  • Ensure security of site automation infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance to calibration schedule across the plant
  • Optimise production processes
  • Demonstrate your support with fault-finding on the following systems (MES integration with Batch exchanger and BTE logs, incoming/outgoing message tables, PaQT agent logs)
  • Manage control panel protocol (Cabinet/panel/rack/wiring labelling and drawings, 5 "S" practices, component configuration/programming/operation standards, ventilation & cooling)
  • Implement the Plant 's strategic plan for control and automation. (Consistency across plant, technical documentation, visualization & and diagnostics for operating areas, flow of material and control information, network architecture compliance to standard)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant course
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in:
  • Automation
  • Networks and servers
  • Microsoft server software
  • Manufacturing Execution systems (MES).
  • PLC systems
  • Manufacturing processes
  • S88 batch control standard
  • Field instrumentation and networks
  • SCADA systems
