1.) Receptionist
Project Brief
• The project is supporting the Ministry of Energy in Ghana in improving the financial sustainability of the energy sector and the framework conditions for promoting investments in renewable energies and energy efficiency and aims at strengthening the Ghanaian climate goals and sustainable and inclusive economic development.

Scope of the Role
• As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact at the GIZ Green Building. Our receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization.
• You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business.
• You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls
Tasks
• You will answer and accept phone calls and messages and forward them and ensure that visitors are comfortable by offering newspapers, refreshments etc.
• You will register, document and organise incoming and outgoing correspondence (fax, emails, packages and personally delivered messages) with routing slips.
• You will support event logistics in the Green Building, by booking and preparing internal and external meetings and event
organisation.
• You will support in all administrative issues concerning fleet management, including organising tour requests and drivers within Accra, keeping timely communication and coordination between duty trip requester and drivers as well as checking and filing logbooks.
• You will work together with the compound security company to manage weekly security reports as well as visitor registration.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Secondary school education and/or certificate/diploma or similar qualification from a recognized clerical college
• At least 3 years of experience as a receptionist or related field in Government or NGO or international organization.
• Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
• Very good communication skills and politeness and helpfulness in dealing with visitors
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
• Proactive interest in improving quality of work; Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English;

2.) National Advisor AfCFTA
Project Brief
• With funding from EU, Germany, Sweden and France, GIZ together with Expertise France and FIAPP supports the AfCFTA negotiation process through technical support to the relevant AU organs.
• The project in support of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) works in close collaboration with the AfCFTA Secretariat of the African Union (AU).
Scope of the role
• The trade advisor will be part of the new setup of the technical advisory component of the project towards the AfCFTA Secretariat.
• The advisor will support the content of free trade negotiations in the areas of trade in goods and services, trade facilitation, customs cooperation as well as phase II negotiations for protocols on IPR, Investment, Competition, Digital Trade and Women and Youth in Trade
Tasks
• Support the establishment of the new AfCFTA Secretariat through strategic capacity development activities
• Close collaboration with AfCFTA Secretariat, the GIZ AfCFTA Support Programme (which the advisor is also part of) as well as with RECs
• Support bilateral partners in fostering their role in implementing the AfCFTA through technical advisory services on the member state level
• Manage short-term experts to undertake subject-specific research into areas of concern to Member State representatives participating in technical meetings throughout the key project component topics of trade in services, goods as well as the investment protocol.
• Technical advice and project coordination on various aspects of trade integration, including trade in goods, trade in services, trade facilitation, and stakeholder involvement and possibly also industrialization, value chain and other emerging topics
• Participate in the AfCFTA Team meetings and bilateral exchanges with AfCFTA advisors throughout the various project components and locations
• Work with other GIZ projects and be familiar with GIZ internal procurement processes

Qualification Required & Experience
• Master’s degree in Economics, Law, or equivalent
• Fluent in written and spoken English and fluency in other AU official language is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 4-6 years in trade policy
• Solid understanding of regional and continental economic integration issues in Africa
• Thorough familiarity with the continental developments and the AU Member States
• Experience in development cooperation is an asset
• Experience in working with AU or other regional organisations is an asset
• Flexibility to frequently travel
