1.) Administrative Officer
Project Brief
• Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) - is a public-benefit federal enterprise working in more than 100 countries worldwide.
• We work on behalf of the German Government and support public and private sector clients in a wide variety of areas, including economic
development and employment, energy and environment, and peace and security. Our activities cover three priority areas:
Scope of the Role:
• We are looking for an assistant to support the Head of the GITC, who will be solely responsible for our institutional partnership in Ghana. • The preferred candidate will set up agendas for meetings and stay closely connected in a triangle between the Head of GITC, (AHK) and the BMWK.
• The preferred candidate will be the facilitator and coordinator of all meetings with the partners involved.
Task
• Closely collaborate with the GITC and the AHK and the BMWK to facilitate workshops.
• Get to know the GITC and understand their demands on the project and help in translating them into the project plan.
• Organize flight bookings and regular visits of the BMWK team travelling to Ghana and GITC staff to Europe.
• Contribute to reporting activities
• Coordinate meetings and agendas of Steering meetings.
• Organize workshops when required
• Prepare correspondence to participating partners for conferences
• Coordinate activities of the GITC and key partners
Qualification Required & Experience
• University degree in economics or law or related qualification
• At least 4 years’ professional experience in similar capacity
• Basic understanding of international trade, especially the WTO and anti-dumping cases
• Good administrator with good organizational skills
• Well networked
• Good report writing skills
• Ability to express oneself very well both verbally and in written English;
• Good knowledge of the Trade space in Ghana

2.) Driver
Project Brief
• The Governance for Inclusive Development Program is supporting the Government of Ghana in Domestic Revenue Mobilization, Public Financial Management and Accountability. The Project contributes to the development of Governance by improving transparency, internal accountability, participation and public service delivery
Scope of the Role:
• As a driver, you will be responsible for safely performing all official travel using official vehicles and regularly servicing and taking good care of official vehicles.
Task
• Provides passenger transport and run errands in an official car for office, project or programme staff, official visitors and guests.
• Helps with transporting goods.
• Completes the vehicle and maintenance log correctly and conscientiously in accordance with GIZ standards.
• Ensures the interior and exterior of the vehicle(s) is always clean.
• Reports need for service and carries out minor repairs.
• Immediately reports all involvement of the project or office vehicle in accidents, including minor accidents, damage, loss or theft of vehicle fittings.
• Assists other colleagues as needed in the project, programme or office if there is no travel or chauffeur service pending, carries out other office work on request.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Secondary school education
• Holds a valid driver’s licence D.
• At least 1-3 years’ work experience as a driver with references 2-3 years’ professional experience in a comparative role
• no major accidents in the past 3 years
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Familiarity with Ghana and the districts and regional capitals
• Appropriate appearance and attire (possibly uniform, friendly manner with all passengers)
• Always ensures unrestricted availability of vehicles and reports restrictions immediately.
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
Location: Tamale and Sunyani
