1.) Assistant Manager - Power & Utilities
2.) Assistant Maintenance Manager

1.) Assistant Manager - Power & Utilities

 

Location: Nigeria

Purpose of the Job

  • To oversee and optimize utilities (Boilers, Air compressor, Water Treatment, ETP, etc.) and power (all generators) performance and liaise with all relevant stakeholders to drive reliability for utilities and power equipment in PCPL.

The Job

  • Ensure that all Boilers, Compressed air systems, water treatment plant, Generators, Effluent Treatment Plant, and associated equipment are operated per OEM standard and best practices as aligned with FMN management.
  • Liaise with Technical Manager and all relevant stakeholders – procurement, stores, etc. especially site operations teams to always support availability of all power and utilities equipment while proactively mitigating downtimes as much as possible.
  • Ensure overall asset care/maintenance for all utilities and power equipment under your purview. This includes spares-part planning, cost management, inventory, maintenance execution, etc. as designated.
  • Deliver set KPIs and targets in the power and utilities space.
  • Liaise with Technical Manager and extended technical teams to continuously improve state of asset in the power and utilities space.

Qualifications

  • B.Eng / HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or any related Engineering course.
  • Certificate of membership with Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) will be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably similar responsibility of managing Outsourced Employees.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years cognate experience.
  • Oversee and supervise plant operations.

The Person Must:

  • Have good communication skills.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills.
  • Have good planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Have solid problem-solving skills and be action driven.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

2.) Assistant Maintenance Manager

 

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Purpose of the Job

  • Responsible for maintaining all Mechanical equipment to function at maximum capacity and ensure effective utilization of Mill Capacity.

The Job

  • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities of all mechanical machinery, equipment, etc. in the business Unit for the smooth running of the production activities to meet business goals.
  • Manage the mechanical engineering expenses (labor cost including overtime, repair/maintenance cost etc.) against the budget of the Business Unit to drive the efficient cost per ton, effective man-hour per ton, and overall business efficiency.
  • Assist to monitor the installation of new mechanical machines and equipment, etc. by providing technical support, guidance, and oversight functions to contractors/third parties to ensure that projects are completed within standard and timely.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with HSE policies and programs geared towards a safe working environment by taking appropriate safety measures/actions.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory of mechanical spare parts to ensure the availability of the same for timely corrective maintenance of the milling machines/equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification

  • B.Eng. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related course.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in similar industry.
  • Proven experience leading maintenance groups and/or technical teams using KPI-based objectives and driving strong results.

The Person Must:

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and implement effective corrective solutions.
  • Be highly organized and proactive with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to influence safety practices and initiatives.

3.) Electrical Maintenance Manager

 

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose of the Job

  • Supervises and coordinate all Plant maintenance tasks (Electrical), plan resource in conjunction with the Plant Maintenance Manager/Services Manager and in alignment with production requirement at the right time, quality and cost, in order to maintain asset reliability and continuously improve the overall plant performance in adherence to legal and statutory maintenance activities.

The Job

  • Ensure the maintenance management of all Power assets by leading and supervising electrical maintenance team activities and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Maintenance/Services in managing Power generation assets and facility, spare parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and managing the department budget.
  • Drive the maintenance and reliability initiative focused on preventive & predictive maintenance of all assets.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage  maintenance procedures for power equipment and labor cost to optimize cost efficiencies in production.
  • Establish and maintain Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Systems.
  • Provide on-the-job training and continuous development for the electrical maintenance team.

Qualification

  • BSc / HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • MSC. in Electrical Engineering, professional certification in NSE or COREN is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance experience in the similar industries.
  • Industry best practices and maintenance principles.

The Person Must:

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent managerial abilities and can motivate team’s performance.
  • Have strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess excellent technical background and knowledge.
