1.) Management & Cost Accountant

 

An indigenous Agro-Business Establishment located in the Bono East Region is looking for suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position with the accompanied job role: Management & Cost Accountant

Job Brief

• The role is mainly responsible for direct activities of budgeting, product costing, product manufacturing cost analysis, inventory, valuation, monthly actual cost and budget analysis and provide the necessary management information to senior management for the achievement of company goals
• The position / successful applicant shall report to the Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform month end close activities related to Cost Accounting
• Prepare budget and forecasts. Prepare and analyze variance/margin statement of the various products, sections, and cost centers
• Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory and expense information for various customers as needed for decision making support
• Analyse changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on costs
• Analyse actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standards costs to actual production costs
• Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures
• Work closely with the marketing team to prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service cost. Also, to provide margin impact resulting from marketing and promotion
• Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
• Develop and maintain standard costs of finished good and production components in a worldwide ERP system
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
• Lead and manage the quarterly excess and obsolete inventory review process
• Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, intrnal audit and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing
• Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls
• Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce cost etc
• Plan and complete all tax related materials





Qualification Required & Experience

• About 7 years of proven Accounting work experience from similar job / industry preferably in an FMCG industry
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, possess of professional qualification will be an advantage
• Strong grasp of SAGE-ERP accounting software
• Excellent skills in Excel, especially advanced financial modelling and analytical techniques
• Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes

Must possess:

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinion

• Age range: 35 - 45 years
• High interpersonal skills

2.) Finance Manager

 

An indigenous Agro-Business Establishment located in the Bono East Region is looking for suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position with the accompanied job role: Finance Manager

Job Brief

• The role is mainly responsible for guiding the organisation in profit making and profit increase using comprehensive and most practiable financial applications, monitoring of financial activities, forcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations, reporting of financials, as well as act as advisor to senior management in support of the achievement of company goals
• The position or the successful applicant shall report to the Financial Controller / General Manager

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage processes of the Finance Departments, including policies financial budgeting, departmental recruitments, job procedures assessments, and recommending trainings needed
• Develop actual and strategic business plans based on detailed financial investigation and analyses of the company's financial forecasts
• Perform all financial management responsibilities including generating financial information, collecting and submitting timely periodic reports, analysing trends within the industry and evaluating the financial health of the company
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliation of financial books, forecasting of cash flow and enforce regulatory compliance, especially with tax and financial report ethics
• Advise company Executives and management on financial decisions and implications related to the company's funds/financial status and forecasts
• Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts
• Facilitate understanding between the organisation, employees, stakeholders shareholders and investors on financial issues for cordial resolution of differences about what may be known as accurate or not






Qualification Required & Experience

• About 10 years of proven finance and accounting work experience from similar job/industry preferably in an FMCG industry
• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance
• Professional qualification would be an advantage
• An experience in the big 5 audit firm would be an advantage
• Food industry experience a plus, hands on ERP experience preferred 5 years plus experience, finance administration preferred
• Strong grasp of SAGE-ERP accounting software concept
• Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modelling and analytical techniques
• Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes
• Proven knowledge of financial analysis and strategy
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislations

3.) Internal Auditor

 

An indigenous Agro-Business Establishment located in the Bono East Region is looking for suitably qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position with the accompanied job role: Internal Auditor

Job Brief

• The role is mainly to assist in delivering internal audit, risk management and corporate governance in support of the achievement of company goals
• The position / the successful applicant shall report to the Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities

• Performing / assisting with business risk assessments and internal audit planning strategies. Develop internal audit programmes and procedures
• Executing internal audit assignments
• Performing critical internal audit tests and procedures
• Identifying weak/problem areas and developing effective corrective action plans
• Preparing reports and discussion / negotiation thereof at a functional level
• Ad hoc Projects and assignments
• Continuous improvement and updating of technical knowledge
• Follow up on implementation of corrective action
• Assisting with department administration

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and finalist of ACCA, ICA or CIA
• A previous working experience (minimum 7 years) with a top four accountancy firm and internal audit experience would be an advantage
