1.) Assistant Accountant
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- We are looking for highly motivated Assistant Accountants (up to two years prior experience) to strengthen the finance department. We specifically note that we are looking for several accountants (with different levels of experience) and that people without working experience, but with completed NYSC are also welcome to apply. Salary package will differ based on your experience.
- Key words are motivated, team player, resourceful and uncompromising aspiration to develop yourself to a word class finance professional.
Job Profile
As an Assistant Accountant, a typical day might include the following:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions. This will help management to make the right decisions for the business to grow
- Support your colleagues in other departments with necessary financial information
- Preparing and verifying payment instructions
- Checking vendor invoices against goods delivery notes and approval for rendered services
- Reconciling bank balances to ensure effective control over the financial information
- Preparing and checking of sales orders
- Checking and verifying correct movement of stock in the ERP
- Review and ensure Withholding Tax (WHT) are deducted correctly from Vendor Invoices and subsequently remitted promptly to the respective tax authority (FIRS and LIRS) accordingly.
- Assist with preparing monthly/quarterly financial analysis packets for management
- Assist with financial modeling and support the business by reviewing cost and sales price calculations
- Provide general accounting support
- Help with accounts receivable management
- Provide support for annual budgeting process
- Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Carry out all other duties as delegated by Senior Officer.
Requirements
- A B.Sc qualification in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Candidates should have up to two years prior experience
- Knowledge of MS Excel and Accounting software.
- ICAN and ACCA certifications is an added advantage.
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail.
- High integrity and can keep confidential information
- Time-management.

Processes:
- Ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with our quality standards
- Build processes that meet our business objectives and ensure compliance
- Maximize the efficiency of all commercial procedures and align with overall business procedures
- Establish commercial KPIs and conduct reviews
- Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise.
Sales Commissions:
- Coordinate sales commissions review across channels (interdependent and complementary commission areas)
- Weekly calculation, validation and administration of sales commissions across channels.
Planning:
- Coordinate centralized national territory planning, business review and recruitment plans
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure our hiring plans meet our business needs
- Budgeting, Budget Management and Sales forecasting.
Business Intelligence:
- Manage In-country data dashboards (suggest improvements and linkages on channel consolidation)
- Coordinate and support data analytics on overall sales activities and processes (inter- face and linkages across channels)
- Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability
- Provide insights on company and competition trend analysis.
Inventory Management:
- Stock monitoring to determine minimum reorder level
- Stock movement and Stock depletion management.
Administration:
- Coordinate multi-channel administrative support across zones, including supervising zonal administrators and ensure they are connected to the commercial analyst
- Take into account the needs of external and internal stakeholders and incorporate them into new strategic plans
- Conduct regular stakeholder meeting and manage commercial projects.
Leadership:
- Organize training sessions for the commercial division
- Coaching and supervision of Commercial Analysts.

Educational Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years work experience
- Process development experience/capabilities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of your time

- Lumos Nigeria is looking for an ambitious Finance Operations (Assistant) Manager. You will report to Head of Finance and you will lead a team of accountants.
- Your main task will be to ensure that the team of accountants is in control of:
- Daily execution of all finance bookings, including invoices, accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales orders, bank accounts and all vendor, bank and suspense account reconciliation.
- Reporting and follow up on all outstanding items
- Treasury, cash flow management and payments
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the finance operations team.

- Ensuring that all routine and non-routine financial bookings are made correctly and on time.
