3.) Network Operations Manager

1.) Business Intelligence Lead

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Head Business Intelligence

Role Purpose

Provide business insights of Ikeja Electric data as a basis to identify opportunities for improved operations and revenue generation.
Identify potential business opportunities from non-energy related products from Ikeja Electric customer data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Perform analytics of Ikeja Electric business data based on patterns around electricity consumption, utilization, asset performance and industry analytics.
Develop and set business reporting requirements for BI and data analytics tools
Developing strategies by analyzing, designing and implementing enterprise data requirements to successfully achieve business objectives
Identify potential data-related business opportunities from Ikeja Electric huge customer database
Perform business report curation and define business data models for future ready data structuring within IE
Documenting data structure and contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage.
Create technical documentation for BI interface
Develop Proof of Concepts (PoC) for new initiatives spurned from analysis of Ikeja Electric customer and technical data and subsequently handover to the appropriate functional unit for full implementation and roll out
Collaborate with both Internal and External leads in identifying potential new opportunities from insights derived from Ikeja Electric customer data
Develop quarterly benefits realized from initiatives implemented from the use of IE customer data
Takes responsibility for creating technical documentations for BI tools
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Key Result Areas:

Quarterly business insights Report on Ikeja Electric customer data
Number of new initiatives identified from Ikeja Electric database
Number and financial impact of initiatives designed and implemented
Number of non-energy related business spurned yearly

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines - Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or other numerate discipline
At least 8 years relevant work experience, from related sector/ organization with relevant experience in data management and analytics
Demonstrable understanding of the power sector.

Technical Competencies:

Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Good Data Analytic Skills
Proficiency in the use of various Business Intelligence, data mining and data modelling tools.

Behavioral Competencies:

Ability to work under pressure and multi task effectively.
Good Verbal communication & interpersonal Skills.

2.) Business Intelligence Developer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Business Intelligence Lead

Role Purpose

Support the business by providing technical and analytical expertise during all phases of business intelligence and analytical solution development and life cycle.
Provide programming, artificial intelligence, statistical and predictive modeling to meet institutional needs and objectives

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in business intelligence development initiatives including data warehouse, data visualization and analytics/predictive modeling efforts.
Designs, develops, automates, and supports complex applications to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into accessible and performant structures that support analytic needs.
Develop and set business reporting requirements for BI and data analytics tools
Develops or modifies data models, ETL processes, and BI tool solutions; and ensures integrity and security of institutional data.
Serve as architect of data mart/business intelligence projects. Work with analysts, programmers, IT colleagues, business process owners, and clients to determine scope and requirements for business intelligence and analytical solutions.
Perform business report curation and define business data models for future ready data structuring within IE
Identifies and manages interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
Develop technical infrastructure for data mart/business intelligence initiatives.
Documenting data structure and contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage.
Create technical documentation for BI interface
Lead mid-sized to large technical, business and artificial intelligence projects.
Provide operational support for business intelligence solutions and respond to changes required by upgrades, regulatory requirements, etc.
Collaborate with both Technical and Commercial teams in identifying potential new opportunities from insights derived from Ikeja Electric customer data
Takes responsibility for creating technical documentations for BI tools
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines - Engineering and/or Computer Science / Decision Science / Programming discipline
At least 2-4 years’ experience with design, development, automation, and support of applications to extract, transform, and load data
Proficient in relational database and programming languages – SQL, Python.

Technical Competencies:

Demonstrated experience in data warehousing and data mart technologies and concepts for BI.
Experience with programming, SQL and data modelling, data warehouse development

Behavioral Competencies:

Ability to work under pressure and multi task effectively.
Good Verbal communication & interpersonal Skills.

3.) Network Operations Manager

Location: Lagos
Type: Full time
Reporting To: Business Manager

Role Purpose

This role will be responsible for all the operations and maintenance activities of the Business Unit (BU).

Responsibilities

Set and ensure targets are achieved by the various units within the Business Unit (BU) and Undertaking (UT).
Conduct audit records of all activities of each functioning unit to ensure compliance to operational procedures that will bring about quality output.
Focus on loss reduction, prevention of equipment failure and accident reduction strategies.
Inspect, test and commission new Distribution Sub-Stations to be connected to the system.
Manage and maintain 0.415kv & 11kv networks as well as patrolling and restoration of 33kv feeders on fault within the Business Unit.
Assess the distribution network performance and identify areas of weaknesses for improvement purposes.
Plan, design, execute and supervise the distribution extension, rehabilitation and maintenance activities on 11kV and 415V networks.
Collaborate with CHQ on periodic reports and updates
Allocate materials from Stores to Business Unit and Undertakings.
Ensure proper material utilization is done as per business process.
Carry out commercial and electrical load surveying of 11KV feeders and Distribution Sub-Station.
Inspect, test and commissioning new distribution network feeders and DT S/S projects intended to be connected to the BU network.
Conduct audit of the files/records of all activities of each functioning unit to ensure compliance to operational methods that will bring about quality output.
Focus on loss reduction, prevention of equipment failure and accident reduction strategies.
Review and forward annual budget/ revenue target for the business unit for approval from corporate office
Take responsibility for compliance with all Quality Management System /Operation Health & System related activities in the department as documented in the departmental operations manual, risk assessment register and other relevant documents.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Power) field with at least 15 years’ experience.
Post graduate qualification/ degree in power/ electrical engineering is an added advantage.
Possession of certifications in Engineering is required;
Membership of a professional body is required e.g. NSE, COREN.
