1.) Human Resources Business Partner

Purpose of the Job

  • To lead professional and strategic HR delivery to the region in line with global best HR practices and Airtel Nigeria people strategies, as well as effectively oversee HR performance metrics and management reporting needed for decision making in the achievement of organizational objectives.




Role Responsibilities
Effective Business Partnering:

  • Liaise with respective function head in the alignment of general HR strategy with functional strategy.
  • Consult with function Head in promoting best fit HR value proposition

Educational Level
Must have:

  • Ensure the implementation of the Group’s Enterprise Risk management framework across all functions and operating companies (OpCo)

  • The role ensures support on the end-to-end management of KYC data base by ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements on new customer acquisition. It also seeks to ensure time-to-time review and seeking ways of enhancing complete registration of Airtel customer base.

  • Consolidation of Agile and Seam fix registration data from IT: Manual collation of data from both data base and mapping them to zones and managers, isolating group registrations before 5am daily for audit compliance check)
  • Daily customer registration management for compliance audit.
  • CX agile DB creation & management: Create and update CX agile DB version since access IT Agile DB was still in development stage)
  • Compliance reporting and barring management: Various levels of barring listed below is managed to avoid business compliance exposure)

Quality of Service KPI Measurement, Reporting and Record Keeping:

  • Work with relevant teams in CSD to implement Quality of Service KPI performance measurement/management systems.
  • Coordinates the measurements of Customer Service KPIs according to the regulator’s stipulated Measurement Method.
  • Works with the regulatory department to ensure they submit measured KPIs to regulator(NCC) and ensure availability of real-time performance data from the performance measurement or management systems.

FIELD SUPPORT (GADs support Function):

  • Non-active provisioning escalations : Issues involving mismatched provisioning, is resolved through detailed investigation and correction for customer satisfaction
  • KYC barring escalation support: Cases ranging from failed automatic unbarring of customer line due to KYC is handled manually)
  • Manual system name change update
  • Sim swap data verification and support
  • Group DAILY KPI report

5.) Manager, CS Core Design Planning & Opt

  • The role will define the optimal topology of the circuit switched core network to meet a premium service level and architecture;

Job Purpose

  • This role is expected to act as the representative for business, technical and other functional requirements in Packet Core solutions to support Mobile Data services.
  • The function will define the optimal topology of the packet core network to meet premium service level agreements and industry architecture for next generation Packet switched networks

  • Perform adequate dimensioning, of all interfaces of EPC related Nodes and add-on solutions - in accordance with network growth and business projections.
  • Continuously monitor network traffic, licenses, trends and various parameters to ensure the Network elements are operating as expected. Where required, take corrective action with input from Operations and performance teams.
  • Effective understanding of Operational and Business support systems (OSS/BSS) for performance reporting, Key performance indicator (KPI) monitoring and tuning for effective end to end planning of data services.
  • Periodical audit and optimization of Product-related configurations on the Deep Packet inspection (DPI) node to avoid data fraud and over/undercharging of data services
  • Periodically revise and optimize signaling traffic towards charging system and other peer nodes.

Expand & Evolve Core Network:

  • Understand the business requirements and impact on data network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for planning all expansion of nodes well in advance.
  • Plan evolution of PS core network to best industry practices.

  • Provide consultation services to relevant business units including Liaising with Marketing and IT for better understanding of proposed services.

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Telecommunication / Electronic Engineering / Computer Science
  • Comprehensive understanding of Mobile Packet Core from a design, optimization, and evolutional perspective.
  • Strong Analytical and Presentation skills
  • Knowledge of 3GPP/GSMA standards
  • Detailed knowledge of Diameter Routing and Data Analytics platform
  • Understanding of NFV and Native Cloud Operations

Relevant Experience:

  • 6 - 8 years of work experience in large Mobile Network Operator within the PS core domain
  • Multivendor experience HUAWEI, ERICSSON platforms is preferred
  • Hands-on Experience with Ericsson PS core nodes will be an added advantage.
  • Good Experience with Project deployment of key network systems from initial design to full operational handover
  • A thorough understanding of Network KPIs and their use

Key Accountabilities
PS Core, Operations to ensure Uninterrupted Voice and Data Service Delivery:

  • Perform day to day operations & management, fix alarms and resolve incidents, prepare daily health check status and report to TL
  • Perform Change Management, performance & optimization through O&M and Performance Management processes 2
  • Ensure all Faults, Trouble Tickets & Incidents are recorded and addressed within SLAs. Documentation of all such events are prepared with RFO, RCA and RCF. Weekly and monthly report of such incidents are prepared to do analytic study on them by TL and reduce incidents
  • Implement all BISP related tasks and perform duties within BISP framework.
  • Perform NOC integration for alarm reporting & escalation.
  • Execute patches and support update/upgrade process
  • Perform ATP, UAT on services and nodes
  • Support TSG team in resolving customer complaints

Update Documentation:

  • Update Solution document, HLD, DLD, LLD along with Network Diagram
  • Keep document management updated

Capacity Optimization, Availability & Performance Management:

  • Perform adequate day to day capacity optimization, of all nodes, interfaces MPC/EPC & AAPCN related Nodes - in accordance with network growth and projections.
  • Continuously being the loop of the network traffic, licenses, trends and various parameters to ensure the Network elements are operating as expected. Where required, take corrective action with input from TL and Group Planning team

Support in Expansion & Evolution of Core Network:

  • Understand the business requirements and impact on the IP backbone and data network infrastructure.
  • Support expansion of nodes well in advance. .
  • Support evolution of AAPCN to best industry practices.

Employee Engagement:

  • Multivendor experience - Including experience with Charging nodes interaction in data networks.
  • Good understanding of the commercial deployment of EPC/LTE, which could includes hands-on operations, test and/or deployment. Understanding of the evolution of 3G networks moving towards 4G.
  • Detailed understanding of IP technology
  • Tracing and analysis acumen and experience on end to end E2E service flow.
  • Experience on Sy, ESy, Pre-Sy, PCRF interactions with Charging System
  • Experience of deployment of key network systems through the delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover
  • Experience in measuring and analyzing network KPI ‘key performance indicators’.
