1.) Financial Controller

 

Our client is a multi-disciplinary private healthcare facility with modern facilities and state of the art equipment, offering a broad spectrum of expert medical care and services to meet the needs of the communities in Accra, Ghana and across our borders.

 Job Position: Financial Controller (TBH-JD-FA-022)
• Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
• Supervises: Cost Controller, Senior Finance officer, Finance Officers

Key Performance Area (KPA):

• Treasury
• Revenue and Receivables
• Financial reporting
• Compliance
• Leadership
• Financial Budgets and Forecasts

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead in implementation of the Hospital’s accounting system, standards, and procedures to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, timely production of financial statements and key statistics/data to guide decision-making
• Ensure effective cash flow management to meet the needs of the Hospital
• Achieve monthly financial reporting and quarterly management accounts dates set by Management, and Annual Financial Statement by the end of January each year
• Coordinate and lead in annual audits by liaising with external auditors, satisfying their need for information and explanations to achieve timely completion of annual audits
• Research technical accounting issues (new IFRS standards/amendments) for compliance in financial reporting
• Lead in the budgetary process and the implementation of approved annual budget (Profit & Loss and Capes) and monitoring monthly variances for timely reporting and corrective action (efficiencies and cost reduction strategies)
• Ensure all statutory payments and statutory returns are paid/submitted timely to ensure statutory compliance.
• Ensure that adequate supporting documents for each month end reporting to ensure audits expected timeframes when due – External Audit, Internal Audit and Ghana Revenue Authority Audits are completed within
• Take active steps to maintain and strengthen internal controls and work closely with Heads of Departments Unit Managers to achieve adherence to Hospital’s Internal Controls
• Mentoring and managing the performance of the accounting and finance staff

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• A Master’s degree will be an advantage
• Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA, or CIMA is required.
• Proficient working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
• Ability to exercise sound judgment

• Time management and tenacity

2.) Human Resource Manager

Job Position: Human Resource Manager (TBH-JD-HR-001)
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Supervises: Payroll Administrator, HR Associate

Key Performance Area (KPA):

• Personnel Administration
• Recruitment and Selection
• Organisation Design and Process Engineering Risk Management and Industrial Relations
• Performance Management
• Talent Management
• Remuneration and Reward Practices Effective collaborative relationships
• Culture and Change Management Learning and Development

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and integrate parallel and intercepting workflows, processes and systems to eliminate duplication, and to achieve optimal efficiency and quality outputs across the Hospital
• Advise managers and employees on how to address Industrial Relation issues such as employee performance, employee conduct and inappropriate interpersonal actions to pre-empt and prevent escalations and formal actions
• Manage, mediate and resolve conflicts, grievances, confrontations, or disagreements in a constructive manner to minimise negative personal impact
• Ensure update and adherence to all personnel administration policies, processes, systems, and procedures
• Liaise with the various Heads of Departments to develop job descriptions and templates for measuring performance for all staff and manage the appraisal timeliness
• Develop succession plans for key critical positions in the Hospital (at different levels) to understand gaps and appropriately manages talent flows in the business leadership and skills
• Foster a learning environment that encourages openness, information sharing, inquiry, and trust.
• Provide opportunities for continuous adult learning in the Hospital
• Oversee the preparation and final validation of HR Payroll information for the Hospital in line with and reward policies and practices.
• Review of monthly payroll reports and overtime requests specified remuneration
• Guide and motivate others to act in support of organisational change.
• Translate and manage the change effort into a step by-step implementation plan for the Hospital that outlines day-to-day activities that assist others in moving forward
• Liaise with other stakeholders to ensure business growth and Hospital sustainability

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources Manager position, preferably in the Health Sector A Degree/Masters in Human Resource Management
• Professional qualification in HR (PHRI or CIHRM) is required
• Good knowledge of Remuneration, Talent Management, Transformation, Recruitment and Selection, Leaming and Development, Organisational Design and Reengineering, Industrial Relation and Performance Management Knowledge of HR related legislation
