1.) Senior Asset Management Assistant

Job Description
- The Senior Asset Management Assistant will perform asset management functions in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations pertaining to management of Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE).
- The incumbent is normally supervised by an Asset Management Officer/Associate who defines the work objectives and provides regular advice and guidance.
- The contacts of the incumbent will include providing operational assistance to Field Operations for management of their assets focusing particularly on supporting disposal of assets. Hence, the incumbent will have regular contacts with Field Operations, Asset Management Unit and other HQ entities.
- The Senior Asset Management Assistant may also have contacts with external counterparts such as auctioneers and other service providers. Furthermore, the incumbent will assist the Asset Management team to monitor and report on asset management issues.
Duties
- Organize the administration of assets auctions in order to be completed in a manner that maximizes revenue for UNHCR.
- Take part in frequent assets disposal and set-up missions within the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
- Facilitate identification, assessment and selection of vendors (Auctioneer) within the AoR, based on their capability for delivering the best services and cost effectiveness to UNHCR.
- Liaise with UNHCR operations to ensure vehicle accidents and damage are reported and processed in accordance with the prevailing Asset Management rules and regulations.
- Report on income from sale of assets in cooperation with relevant counterparts.
- Coordinate with the operations and maintain an efficient system for the resolution of asset management issues in support of UNHCR's users.
- Assist with the coordination of asset management activities to ensure that UNHCR's assets are repaired through effective application of the GFM insurance provisions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records on asset management activities and provide reports as and whenever requested.
- Analyse disposal requisitions to ensure that specifications, disposal dates and other requirements are in order.
- Assist in the evaluation of service providers and provide advice to UNHCR operations on asset disposals.
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of Transfers of Ownership, Disposals, etc. in order to streamline the asset disposal process in relevant systems.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of asset-related data in the relevant business systems.
- Compile and analyse statistical information in asset-related matters assisting the development of plans and adequate decision making.
- Implement effective asset management, regularly monitor the asset/fleet pool, in order to save cost and safeguard the investment of the Organisation.
- Facilitating receipt, inspection, registration & marking of PPE and provide support with the organisation of their physical verification.
- Draft of Right of Use and Transfer of Ownership agreements for signature, if requested.
- Draft disposal forms and cases for the Asset Management Board and organise the disposal of PPE complying with Asset Management Board decisions.
- Monitor the compliance of operations with relevant UNHCR regulations, rules and procedures related to asset management. Report non-compliance to the supervisor.
- With oversight from the supervisor liaise with UNHCR offices on the disposal methodology to ensure that vehicle assets are mandatorily sold after five-year usage period.

- Senior IT Associate is a technical position within the UNHCR operation. Direct supervision is normally exercised by an (Assistant/Associate) IT Officer.
- In locations without a professional IT supervisor, the incumbent must be able to work independently due to the technical nature of the work and liaise directly with regional and HQs technical units for problem solving and consultations.
- Main task of the position is to ensure routine functioning of the IT system within the country operation and assist the management to improve and refine it with the technical progress.
Duties
- Undertake needs assessment on site and installations of UNHCR Telecommunications equipment considering the overall IT strategy of the region, the operational needs and the security constraints.
- Install and configure the most appropriate type of UNHCR IT and Telecommunications systems (HF, VHF, UHF, Microwave Links, Telephony, satellite systems) to meet the needs of operations within the AoR.
- Ensure that the equipment under area of responsibility is in good working condition, by inspecting regularly the hardware and installations. If required, arrange promptly repairs or replacement as necessary according to established procedures.
- Maintain records of the installations and repairs/replacements done and keeps the supervisor fully informed on the status of the equipment.
- Provide the office, where equipment is installed, with full information for their asset management records.
- If applicable, keep a proper inventory level of all sites spares and return spare parts for repair/replacement;
- Monitor and maintain the LAN, Network Servers, Printers, LAN points, Hubs, Patch pane, etc. to prevent faults occurring.
- Add or remove users from the Network.
- Carry out minor hardware maintenance.
- Maintain up to date inventory of all infrastructure equipment under AOR.
- Carry out missions for new installations and routine maintenance tours of telecoms equipment.
- Maintains the VSAT Network and local PABX systems in the AOR.
- Undertake coaching, and training of IT staff and users. Draft procedures and instructions to promote a better understanding of the use of the IT equipment.
- Undertake upgrading of computers (Hardware, Software) in UNHCR offices to maintain current UNHCR standards and, subsequent installation of the new software platforms.
- Liaise directly with end users to clarify analyses and resolve reported issues, delivering high standard of customer services.
- Undertake other tasks or assignments within his/her area of competence as directed by Supervisor/Head of Service.

Job Description
- The Assistant Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer will support in operationalizing the strategic vision to align livelihoods and economic inclusion efforts with the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR), which underscores the need to mobilize additional actors and to adopt a whole-of-society approach to strengthen refugee self-reliance and help ease pressure on host countries. Promoting economic inclusion of refugees is a key development area that will enable the achievement of these objectives and contribute to the 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals.
- The Assistant Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer should be proactive, always looking for new opportunities and persuasive in mobilizing donors and new partners around new models of economic and social integration. Within UNHCR, the Assistant Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Officer will work under the supervision of the head of livelihoods and closely with multi-functional teams on matters including but not limited to protection, education, cash, partnerships, research and analytics, GBV, solutions, complementary pathways and more. S/he will support the office's involvement with livelihoods and economic inclusion, working with relevant external stakeholders from government line ministries, development actors, private sector, UN agencies, international organisations, NGOs, research institutions and universities.
Duties
- Explore partnerships to facilitate the economic inclusion of refugees, such as line ministries, private sector and development actors in accordance with UNHCR Global and Country level policies, priorities, and strategies, in particular the Global Compact on Refugees. This includes advocating with public and private sector services providers to include UNHCR PoC in supporting services (business development, micro-finance, training, saving accounts, poverty alleviation and social protection, etc.).
- Work with the multi-functional team, more specifically with the Protection Unit, support the assessment of the legal framework for the right to work and rights at work and recommend/implement advocacy initiatives and policy reform to improve UNHCR PoC's economic inclusion, rights and access to work.
- Build on UNHCR databases to support regular information sharing and coordination among different humanitarian, developmental and governmental stakeholders. This includes supporting the implementation of socioeconomic and wealth ranking surveys utilising community-based strategies to inform targeting, monitoring and facilitation of development programmes.
- Conduct necessary assessments in collaboration with relevant private and public stakeholders, including impact assessments on local economies and surveys that help to identify investment and funding opportunities that enhance the economic inclusion of UNHCR PoC.

7.) Driver

- The Driver in the UNHCR Office is normally supervised directly by the Administrative Officer/Associate/Assistant or another staff member when the scale of the Operation so require it.
- Besides driving, the incumbent is responsible for up keep and maintenance of the assigned UNHCR vehicle(s) as per technical guidance and specifications established by the Organisation.
- S/he is required to follow strict instructions and security guidance provided by the supervisor. While the basic function of a driver is to drive the official vehicles of UNHCR, s/he may be called upon to perform minor maintenance and repair of UNHCR vehicles.
- The Driver has regular contacts with staff within the UNHCR Office and with others (including Partners, government authorities, etc.) outside UNHCR involving a limited exchange of information.
Duties
- Drive UNHCR vehicles for the transport of authorized passengers, deliver, and collect documents and other items.
- Meet official personnel at airports or other locations and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.
