1.) ICT Specialist II
Job Title: ICT Specialist II
Location: Mubi, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time
Grade: B2
The Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Finance and Admin Manager, the ICT Specialist 2 offers support and maintains proper functionality of ICT set-up and infrastructure, interrelates with all the internal and external stakeholders including service providers and offers support to users in Mubi primarily and from other sites (if requested).
Your Role
- Ensures ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintains adequate stocks levels.
- Ensures that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Briefs, advises and trains end-users on the ICRC's ICT systems.
- Installs, programs, adapts and maintains all professional ICRC Informatics equipment (computers, servers, printers, peripherals, internal networks, power systems, cabling, modem, and internet facilities) respecting internal standards and procedures.
- Installs, programs, adapts and maintains all professional ICRC Telecom/Radio equipment (HF, VHF, UHF, modems, antennas, cabling, power systems, inverters, batteries and repeaters) respecting internal standards and procedures.
- Installs, programs, adapts and maintains all professional ICRC Telephone equipment including PABX (Sat phones, switchboards, wireless units, telephone sets, GSM gateways) respecting internal standards and procedures.
- Timely response to helpdesk requests from callers and walk-ins, providing remote assistance to users with ICT problems
- Support users in backing up and restoring their data as well as in virus detection, removal and prevention.
- Ensures all ICT support requests are accurately logged in the ICT Service Portal and resolution is done according to the agreed Service Level Agreement, and escalates unresolved problems to ABJ ICT Manager, ICT Engineer or L3 service desk.
- Assist with the administration of staff joining, leaving and/or moving within different sites in relation to the creation and configuration of new computers and services
- Repairs or organizes repairs of all broken ICRC Informatics, Telecom or Telephone equipment received in (or transferred to) the ICT Workshop and attributed to her/him for repair.
- Monitors and informs ABJ ICT Manager of shortages/availability of stock items.
- Files important documents (manuals, installation documents, invoices, letters) accordingly and keeps these files up to date in ICT Team Space
- Assist in monitoring, operation and performance of LAN/WAN connectivity and communication services
Your Profile
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent higher education degree in ICT domain (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer science or similar field). Postgraduate or master’s Degree is an asset.
- 3-4 years of experience in IT, electronics, or similar position
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of telecom especially VHF, HF, and satellite
- Applicant must have a valid working permit to work in Nigeria.

2.) Nutritionist II
Job Title: Nutritionist II
Location: Damaturu, Yobe
Employment Type: Full-time
The Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Economic Security (EcoSec) Delegate, the Nutritionist 2, supports nutrition activities in all program areas, including assessments, planning, implementation of the programs of Infant and young child feeding (IYCF), Family MUAC, and Supplementary Feeding Program-Tom Brown.
- Also, S/he Contributes to the assessment of the nutritional situation within the Area of Responsibility (AoR) accordingly.
- Builds the capacity of Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), community volunteer nutrition teams in implementing monitoring nutrition programs through training and supervision.
- Maintains an overarching view of nutrition in ICRC strategic areas, represents the ICRC in nutrition forums, and collaborates closely with relevant ICRC departments and other stakeholders involved in nutrition-related activities within the project areas.
Your Role
- Design and implement EcoSec assessments incorporating nutrition components.
- Identify the causes of malnutrition in operation and uses this knowledge in programming and designing a response
- Evaluate and monitors the nutrition situation, alerts when required, and participates in the immediate response to critical situations
- Incorporate nutrition considerations in economic security programmes by facilitating, designing, and implementing strategies to improve the nutritional status of household members
- Participate in preventing and treating acute malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies according to the ICRC’s set standards
- Evaluate the impact of nutrition and economic security interventions, and changes in population environment/livelihoods, and adapts the programmes accordingly
- Review and adapts nutrition inputs/interventions in emergency and recovery responses
- Collect information/assessments on the situation in the field
- Is aware of the socio-political situation and livelihood conditions in assignment
- Advise the delegate in various fields such as politics, economy, religion, culture, etc., which contributes to the EcoSec activity implementation
- Carry out detailed problem and situation analysis, including technical and institutional challenges in relation to nutrition
- Collect all relevant information in the field for the implementation of the programme and reports to the EcoSec delegate).
- Maintain an overview of the nutrition project materials e.g. tom brown grains, hygiene materials, and EHIs.
- Maintains data on nutrition activities, prepares proposals/PoAs, MoUs, interim reports, nutrition sitreps.
Your Profile
Education & Experience:
- University Degree in the field of Nutrition, Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience in humanitarian work, especially in emergencies
- Fluent spoken and written English, Hausa and Kanuri– Mandatory. Knowledge of local languages an asset.
- Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet software, and basic nutrition computer programmes
- Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment
- Team leadership and analytical skills
- Computer skills (proficiency in MS Office)
- You must have a valid working permit to work in Nigeria.

3.) Economic Security (EcoSec) Generalist II
Job Title: Economic Security (EcoSec) Generalist II
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time
The Purpose
- Under the supervision of the Economic Security (EcoSec) Generalist 3, the EcoSec Generalist 2 will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the ICRC’s EcoSec programs to address the needs of people affected by conflict in different parts of the Maiduguri Area of Responsibility (AoR), under the supervision and guidance of the Economic Security Generalist 3.
Your Role
- Overall responsible for all the relief activities under Maiduguri AoR
- Contribute to analysing the security, socioeconomic, cultural, and political environment as it relates to the ICRC.
- Guide and support Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) in data collection using the household economy approach to identify economic security gaps and develop scenarios.
- Based on an analysis of EcoSec core components (food consumption/production, living conditions, income support, and capacity-building), contributes to identifying response options, especially for relief interventions, and assesses whether cash or in-kind aid is more appropriate and feasible.
- Contribute to designing a suitable method for registering beneficiaries.
- Maintain a network of interlocutors (members of the population, community leaders, local authorities, NGOs, etc.) and updates/shares a list of interlocutors regularly.
- Contribute to weekly planning for the NRCS focal person and volunteers.
- Contribute to internal field trip reports and quarterly reporting.
- Contribute to integrating best practices in terms of accountability to beneficiaries throughout the program cycle design.
- Ensure that proper methods, planning, implementation, logistics, and reporting are used during aid distribution and can explain them.
- Contribute to mid-level qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Contribute to describing results and producing data visualizations.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with the NRCS focal person and volunteers, ensuring that branch representatives are aware of the ICRC’s presence, programs, and activities.
- Contribute to the NRCS branches’ capacity building in EcoSec activities through training and coaching (e.g., data collection).
