1.) Senior Category Buyer

Job Title: Senior Category Buyer

Your Mission

  • You will be the owner of the assortment we offer to our customers: from analyzing market trends and defining listings to prospecting suppliers, and negotiating commercial conditions.

The Journey

  • Be the owner and specialist of assigned categories, being able to move the needle and see the impact of your work on the business by managing the MFCs assortment from end to end.
  • Your main KPIs will be Category Add-to-Cart, Average Order Value, and Gross Margin.
  • Define the assortment strategy, identify opportunities of improvement in listings and margin, and implement them.
  • Manage vendor relationships, with a special focus on the top ones - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure marketing funds per the market requirements and company needs.
  • Review contract terms and conditions ensuring that they are as favorable to the business interests as possible, minimize risk, and are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures (with support from the Commercial Manager and legal department)

  • This role is for a senior leader (Head of Operations) of Glovo’s operations team, which focuses on working with the Glovo team to support our couriers and partners to improve their operations and user experience around delivery.
  • As a Head of Operations in Nigeria, you will have the unique opportunity to help us:
    • Couriers (Supply Ops): Improve delivery times, quality of service and overall satisfaction of couriers
    • Partners (Partner Ops): Improve on key metrics such as preparation time, waiting time, and menu quality.
  • We're looking for someone who has a mix of the:
    • Operational excellence to get great work done

  • Launch groceries retail stores in your city from scratch
  • Manage, control and direct Groceries retail stores and continuously improve i) functionality ii) service level in order to achieve our Customer Experience goals while being obsessive about iii) growth
  • Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other initiatives necessary to enable the Operations plans.
